“klek..”the sound of the room door opening made Agnez who was busy looking for his phone aghast.
Agnez looked at the man who was also looking at her with a look full of astonishment.
“you're awake?” marcus asked Agnez who was still staring in front of the closet in the corner of his room.
“die me! What do I tell this man?”Agnez murmured in the heart. He doesn't know who Marcus is. As Agnez recalls, this male voice is the voice of the person who from yesterday checked himself. “what is he the doctor of the family of Mr Puji?” Thought Agnez, guessing in the heart.
“if you can get up, you better finish your food and take all your medicine.” Marcus continued his words because Agnez looked like a dazed person who would not give Marcus any answer.
Marcus walked up to Agnez, to make sure the woman wasn't being lost or anything. Agnez was silent from now on without saying a word.
“Do not approach!” agnez exclaimed when Marcus was only a few steps away from her.
“The appearance of you is not mute lady Agnez!!” Marcus said with a laugh looking at Agnez's watchful face.
“What parents forced her to marry Mr. Puji as in the story of Siti Nurbaya?” Marcus thought to himself that Agnez's current condition was due to his rejection of this marriage.
But come to think of it, which woman would marry an old man who had so many wives as Mr. Praise except that marriage was a compulsion.
While thinking, Marcus continued walking closer towards Agnez. Suddenly his heart felt pity for Agnez's fate.
“I told you!! Don't come any closer!” agnez exclaimed as she retreated backwards until there was no place for her to retreat.
Agnez looked back, and sure enough there was a phone there.”so it was the man's phone.” Agnez murmured in the heart.
Now Marcus is right in front of Agnez.
“introduce, my name is Marcus!” Marcus reached out his hand to Agnez. “you rest easy, I am not a member of the family of Mr. Praise and nor is this family doctor. I'm just a new acquaintance of this family.” Marcus is forced to explain who he really is so that Agnez is not afraid of him.
Marcus remembers that when he was in medical school, his lecturers always said that it was important for a doctor to gain the trust of his patients first before starting treatment with such patients. This is what Marcus is doing. Seeing the condition of Agnez who looks not good physically and mentally it does not rule out the possibility of Agnez will refuse to communicate with strangers with the aim to protect him.
Not to interfere in the affairs of the household of Agnez and Mr. Puji, it's just that Marcus' medical soul can not stay silent to see women who have physical and mental trauma like Agnez today.
Agnez looked at Marcus with a look of disbelief. What if he was a man who was the man of Mr. Puji, one of Agnez's words would even bring new problems between himself and Jasmin. Or it could be this guy Jasmin's guy who made sure that Agnez kept his mouth shut about the incident in the cell.
The look of disbelief emanating from Agnez's eyes could be easily read by Marcus and he simply smiled as he pulled his hand back.
“maybe you don't want to meet me at this time. But don't worry, I'm sure we'll see each other soon. And you can tell that everything I said wasn't a lie. After that I will invite you to re-acquaint.” After finishing his words Marcus immediately grabbed his phone behind Agnez and left the room where Agnez was still looking at Marcus suspiciously.
