Unexpected News, Zian's return to work hours is no longer a new thing for the Tanubrata family, one of Liam's heirs and cousins is already famous for his relaxed attitude in running the company.
According to Zian, as long as there are no urgent problems, the job should not be brought dizzy, especially there are still many who can handle it instead of having to rely on it. That superhero only comes out in the crucial moments right? And that's what Zian applies to his work ethic, even though many are sneering, after all no one can interfere with the claim of the heir of one.
Zian's hands opened wide as he passed through the main door of his extended family home, welcoming a small boy who ran towards him with a cheerful face. And that welcome is of course always a favorite of Zian when visiting.
“Hei, hotshot! How is it today?” asked Zian to his favorite nephew was—Keita, his son Liam. Who else?
Keita is now in Om's arms, clutching the man's neck tightly and hiding his face there. No matter how mature he is compared to children his age, Kei is still a 5-year-old boy who cannot hide his natural nature.
Not getting an answer from the niece, Zian stared at one of Kei's nannies who followed the boy as he ran towards her. “Why, Bi?” zian asked silently, rubbing Kei's head dearly and petting her slowly.
“It has been since school came home like that, Sir,” replied the nanny. Zian nodded in understanding, bringing the boy in and ending up in the main room of the family that always looked empty.
“Grandma where to? How come Kei's just playing by himself?” zian asked again, still trying to persuade the boy to speak, but still nil, the five-year-old boy remained faithful to his silence mode.
Again, Zian had to ask the babysitter for an answer, not because she didn't believe Om would look after the boy well or not—, of course, not because of that, but because he was afraid whether it was Om or his host child needed something suddenly.
“Ah, Big Madam drove Grandpa to the hospital for weekly check-ups before Den Keita came home, Sir. Hence Aden is alone.”
Responding to the remark, Zian who was already sitting on the soft sofa to rest his body tried to pull Kei's body away in order to stare at his face. The smile that Keita had carved upon welcoming him earlier was clearly already lost on the handsome face of the boy, remaining only a gurgle of sadness and disappointment.
“Is this related to Kei's father again?” zian fishing rod, a little bit already understand what problems the boy experienced.
At first, Keita looks reluctant to answer, but being stared at by his favorite Om certainly makes him who rarely has a container to tell a story slowly melt. Her lips throbbed despite still trying to answer, “Does Dad not love Kei anymore?”
Zian's eyeballs widened, surprised that they were immediately at the core of the conversation. “Eh? Why does Kei think so?” Actually Zian could already guess what the answer was because not only this time the boy asked the same thing.
“It's been a week Dad doesn't come home here, even when Kei calls the reason it's always busy. That means Dad doesn't care about Kei anymore, does he? And that means I don't love Kei anymore!”
Zian swallowed saliva, he was not a person who was adept at persuading children who were sulking or sad. If everything can be solved with money and looking for fun out there, of course Zian has done it. Unfortunately, his nephew was still too small for Zian to have fun with him.
The son of his cousin glared, as if to show that the sentence was not the answer he wanted. After all, in this house who does not know that Liam Tanubrata is always busy and tries to always busy himself.
“Eum..I mean Om, Dad might be busy to clean up his entire job, so he can take a sabbatical and take Kei for another walk like that time. If the other day Kei was invited to travel around Europe in winter, maybe this time I want to invite Kei to visit Maldives?”
Damn, it would be foolish if after this Liam would scold him for promising something that was even in the man's mind or not. Salah himself makes this son lonely and feel unloved. Let Liam take charge and take care of the rest of his son's whining later.
“Really, Om?” kei asked with an expression that turned one hundred and eighty degrees, the adorable face was now back as crisp, looking happy with the false news that Om had told him.
“Ya—maybe,” added Zian, shrinking his voice at the end so that the boy before him did not hear his murmur.
And again, the stupid time with his lies. After all, Liam could always make the lies he created real when it came to his beloved son.
“Yes, that's why Kei don't be sad anymore. Let Daddy have fun—ah, Om means work hard first for today. And Kei just played the same Om, huh? Hmm... if we eat ice cream how?” haggling Zian with a crunchy face, peeping his nephew's pottery cheeks many times before being stopped by shakes and the sound of a cell phone interrupting his activities.
“Before sometime, Darling.” Zian gestured to Kei's nanny who was still there to retrieve the boy from his lap. Scramble the pants pocket to pick up the phone stored there and immediately pick up a call from Rudi—secretary Liam who had no wind no rain suddenly contacted him.
“Yes, Rud? What was? Tumben once, not usually you contact me first like this,” Zian's smile came out, feeling funny with his own mind that suddenly felt special because it had been contacted by the expressionless secretary.
But all of that lasted for a moment because what Zian heard afterwards successfully made the man in less than a second of standing from his leisure seat.
“Police said you?!” he cried, momentarily forgetting that his nephew was still there.
Zian cleared his throat, approaching Kei who was still in his nanny's sling. The man dipped his nephew's translucent cheeks at a glance, stroking the boy's jet-black hair before chanting. “Honey, forgive Om this time. We'll have ice cream next time, right? Om promises to buy whatever Kei wants later, but this time Om has to go, because there are important issues that concern life and death.” Once again the man kissed his nephew's face, this time on the forehead.
“Om loves you,” he said before it completely passed.
The phone that Zian had initially ignored for a moment back he stuck it in the ear. Whisper as little as possible with quick steps so that his voice is no longer heard by people who are nearby. “Liam at the police station you said? How can?” the man was astonished.
