Becoming a Substitute Mother.
Crazy, he must have gone completely crazy, Jenny thought. He actually offered that to Elma? 19-year-old girl who is still innocent and should live happily enjoying her teenage years? Nineteen years, Jenny! Again, nineteen years!
It didn't feel enough for Jenny to cuss herself just once, dozens or even hundreds of times it wasn't enough. He himself who calls and positions himself as an older brother, then with a narrow mind even plunge his sister to do such illegal acts?
“Containing other people's babies?” elma asked in a stifled voice.
Jenny still clearly remembered how Elma asked about the purpose of her speech at that time. Stupidly Jenny's mouth still works first and explains smoothly about the surrogate mother he means.
“Trauma?”
Jenny nodded. “These men cannot touch women, rather they do not want to. The only woman he can touch is only his mother, nothing more than that.”
Elma's cry had indeed completely stopped, and it had instead made Jenny even more nervous as this meant that her explanation was truly awaited for the girl.
“That means this guy can't relate to any woman, Elma. Not only could not, but he was too arrogant to feel unnecessary and unwilling. But on the other hand, this man is required to immediately have children, so that his family's bloodline does not break up and have heirs or successor leaders in the future. Truly heirs based on blood relations, not adoption or anything like that. That's why—”
“That's why this man wants a surrogate mother?”
Exactly, as Jenny knew. Elma is a smart girl.
“But will there be no problems later? From what Brother told you, this person is clearly a person. The public will certainly know and wonder where the child came from, or also his family who questioned how the child could be present without a proper relationship.”
“They already know. One family already knew even his own grandfather who suggested this way. They don't care how, because what they want is a biological child to inherit their business empire. About how they introduced it to the public, I believe, Elma, these rich people always have a way to tickle from the spotlight and have many reasons that can strengthen their alibi.—
“Including hiding the identity of the baby's mother?”
Again Jenny is grateful because Elma is smart and can easily absorb information. But sometimes Elma's above-average intelligence overwhelmed her because it meant that she would receive many of these questions or even more difficult. But what power, rice has become porridge, Elma already knows one of her biggest secrets and Jenny can't possibly just stop here.
“Actually there is a special reason why either surrogate mother or applicant is not allowed to know the identity of each. They want to avoid conflicts that may occur in the future, that's why when a surrogate mother is willing to accept the agreement even only their lawyer will know, that's why, people in the medical field are also involved in this. The rest, nothing. Everything should be closed tight.”
Elma blinked, then nodded stiffly and left her gaze from Jenny. Back down with hands clinging to each other in the lap. The girl may think that the story Jenny told just now was the woman's way of comforting her to stop crying, it worked, but it seems Elma has not realized the real purpose behind the story Jenny told.
Jenny gulped, continuing her story. “And the cost that this family spent to find a surrogate mother in order to conceive her child, can—even exceeds the number you need for kidney transplant surgery Aunt Arini.”
That instant also Elma was made speechless. Throwing her gaze back at Jenny who did not look like she was joking or lying at all.
“Crazy, crazy, crazy! I must be really crazy! What if Aunt Arini finds out that I just hit her son?” Maki Jenny while rubbing her hair strands with emotion, threw her head against the back of the chair with an endless sigh. He felt guilty, but not at the same time. His mind was completely muddled, vacillating unbecoming.
Especially after Elma actually came to her flat that night, desperately accepting the offer without much consideration. Although it had been a few days since the incident, Jenny was still made agitated, especially when she was like this. Jenny was afraid, afraid that Elma would regret this decision in the future.
Still in eternity, the door of the doctor's room was knocked slowly, shifting the focus of Jenny who was still wallowing with guilt but also had no other solution to overcome the problem that befell Elma and her mother.
The face of Rudi—the secretary Liam that Jenny first saw. Secretly, the girl guessed that currently Liam must also be around her. And sure enough, as soon as Rudi shifted his body slightly, Jenny could see the figure of the man standing not far away.
Liam enters Jenny's room after Rudi resigns from there and returns to the car. Sometimes Jenny does not understand the truth, why should Rudi bother to follow Liam if he ends up waiting in the car?
“Why is your face so tangled? Not at all pleasant to look at, you know?”
“You think this is because of who, asshole?” jenny grunted, looking at the man from her chair before standing up.
“What? Did I do something wrong?” With her innocent expression Liam replied, as if completely ignorant as to who Jenny was suffering from at the moment.
Liam's forehead wrinkled, confused by the question he received. “You what you said? I told you, you forgot? What do you think I'm here for if it wasn't for an appointment to check with you?”
Ah, because of thinking too much about Elma, Jenny forgot about this one thing. “You direct now?”
“Surely the room I will use has been sterilized as my request?” ask Liam back.
Jenny grunts lazily, “Aye-aye, Sir. We've done and prepared whatever the young master asks.”
Liam was seen nodding in satisfaction, emanating once the aura of power that was emanating from his figure, and it was clearly intimidating. It was not something that could have been avoided if he had such an aura from Liam's figure, because the man had it before he was even born. No wonder the noble aura was attached to him and could not escape.
“Then just do it as soon as possible. Where should we go?”
Jenny had already stepped up to walk first, but the woman suddenly remembered something that made her legs stop and turned back to face Liam. “Before that, there is something I want to talk to you about.”

“You're sure he's the right guy?” Liam's voice after silence filled them for some time.
Jenny snorted, glancing at the man cynically with her narrowed eyes. “You think I'm going to mention someone you're going to reject outright. Of course I've already considered it!”
Liam nodded in agreement, changing his original standing position with both hands in his pockets to fold them in front of his chest. “You were right, but you said it wouldn't be easy to find a mother-to-be with all the criteria I wanted, it took months or even years, but suddenly you said this. Of course I doubt it, right?”
“I myself was not even aware that the person was near me..” muttered Jenny, obviously to herself.
“Sorry? What did you just say?”
Jenny quickly shook her head, really hoping Liam didn't hear it instead of just making sure that she didn't hear it wrong. “This woman is in desperate need of money, and I found her. As per your criteria, smart, beautiful, and have a good personality.”
“You can judge people that fast? What if he's a con man? Falsifying documents to fool you. After all, what would a nineteen-year-old girl need that kind of money for? Don't you think that's suspicious?”
Closing her eyes for a moment, Jenny tried to spread herself out before opening her petals again and looking at Liam sharply right at the man's bead. “Mr Liam Tanubrata, remember the terms of privacy? You want nothing else to know about your age, health check results, IQ test numbers, and personality tests so that in the future no problems arise. And you entrust me to whatever provision is beyond that. Again, I won't file a person who doesn't meet your standards, but if you don't trust—”
Liam raised his hand, giving up. The man slightly shuddered with the serious look he received from Jenny. The woman is really creepy if in this fashion, she should not doubt anything she has entrusted to the woman.
“The bottom line is none of your business for what a girl of her age needs that kind of money. Not every human being on this earth is born with a golden spoon in his mouth like your family, Liam. There are many among them who have to sacrifice what they have for the surroundings, and you will never understand about such a thing,” Jenny continued in a cold voice.
“And you pray that the results of his health examination are in accordance with the provisions that he is ready to be fertilized, because if the results indicate otherwise, maybe you will really wait for years to find a woman like her again.”
That sentence clearly made the frown on Liam's forehead appear. “So he hasn't done the inspection? Then why did you say this to me? Ought—”
“I told you, Liam. I'm giving you a chance to pray. Pray that the girl can truly be the mother of your child. Because if it really happens, the sign that the mother of your child is an extraordinary person,”—because she has sacrificed herself for the person she loves, Jenny continued in her heart.
After saying so Jenny stepped past the man, opened the door of his room and waited for Liam to get out of there before closing it back up.
Liam was still with his mind digesting all of Jenny's sentences, trying to understand even though in the end he gave up on it.
True said Jenny, people who have always been on top like Liam and his family, will never be able to know what is done and happens to the people who are under them.
