“Do not disturb us. Your father doesn't admit you, you idiot !
Get out of our house. And for the umpteenth time the intercom channel was shut down. Elma knew her face must have appeared on the intercom screen inside there, because the intercom was clearly equipped with a camera.
The girl ended up in the house of the father who had appeared to her and the mother for the sake of being with this rich family she visited.
But despite being yelled at, scolded, expelled and threatened with being reported by the police for disrupting public order, Elma did not leave. The girl eventually remained standing unmoved, hoping that her own father would meet her.
If indeed she was so unwanted and not considered, Elma wanted to confirm it just once, as well as get an answer as to what she and Mother were like in the eyes of the father.
Elma had no choice, in the midst of her death only a father figure was remembered and expected to help. He had no relatives, nor could anyone be relied upon to help him in financial matters. Although it was most likely for him to be rejected like this, somehow footsteps still brought him to this place.
The sky that had turned dark did not relax Elma's determination. Even as lightning and thunder started to sound, the girl remained there. The raindrops began to fall as a car light panned it from a distance, slowly approaching. The car stopped, one because the entrance of Elma was blocked, two because the gate of the house was still tightly closed.
“Do you want to come here?” it was the first sentence that came out of the mouth of the man before him as soon as he got down from the car.
Elma's jaw hardened, staring hard at the man who no longer wanted to be called ‘Dad’—although the man's name is clearly still part of his name until this moment.
“After a dozen years of not meeting, that's what you said first time?”
“Don't waste time!"
Just tell me what you want?
If you're here to ruin and make my family fuss because this better get out of here fast.
Gnashing her teeth full of anger, Elma overcame it with a snort that came out to ease the emotions. If indeed the man asked him to say what his arrival meant without further ado, fine, because that was what Elma wanted.
“Lend me money. Five hundred million.”
The dark eyeball belonging to the man in front of her grew bigger, “You are crazy? What do you need that kind of money for, huh? Know yourself if you are not able! Do not follow a lifestyle of sorts!”
Crazy one? If it could feel like Elma was eager to say that this interlocutor of hers was the crazy one! Does that person think Elma would beg for that kind of money just for wanting to follow people's lifestyles? Which stupid conclusion did he take?!
“I really need.” Once again Elma asked, still trying despite having to humble herself in front of that person. Elma told you, didn't she? He will try despite having to use any means for his mother's recovery.
“You think, with you coming here and disturbing my family, I'll give you money, so? We can't be squeezed out this way. If you need money, work hard! Don't be a shameful beggar like—”
“Go from here.”
But it was not a pleasant sentence that Elma then heard, but just as before, she was completely expelled from there, this time by her own father.
The man, without feeling the need to respond to the babble of his daughter, casually sauntered back up the car, honking as loud as possible until the housekeeper came and opened the gate. The Host gestured his servant to drag the girl to avoid blocking the road, which the maid obeyed by grabbing Elma's arm and pulling her body slowly away from it.
The rain was getting heavier, and Elma was still grimacing in a mute. Right now, there's nothing more the girl can think of than stepping into Jenny's apartment. Searching for debris solution of the problem that looks like a dead end.
Lightning and lightning struck, the roar of the rain added to the dark atmosphere of the night. Jenny who lived alone in her flat was shocked several times. His leisure activity unwinded in front of the tv several times disturbed by the rumbling sound out there.
Jenny put her ears up nicely when someone was heard knocking on her flat door a few times. In the midst of this heavy rain, with the sound of thunder that often struck, the sound of the knock was faint until Jenny had to confirm it several times.
The woman was still not budging, making sure once again it was not just another sound that thunder was creating out there that still sounded great rumbling. Before long the voice was heard again, this time interrupted by a bell that was heard for his flat unit.
Jenny walked quickly towards the door as people out there sounded impatient and banged on the door getting louder. As soon as she reached the doorknob and unlocked it, what Jenny saw managed to make the woman surprised instead of playing.
It was Elma— in a drenched state and droplets of water were moving down from every part of his body. The girl's appearance was completely out of order, making Jenny quickly pull the girl's body into her flat.
“You wait here, Brother get a towel and change clothes first.”
But Jenny did not even move her legs, her movements were stopped by Elma's cold hand that clasped her wrist tightly. Can Jenny feel that the girl's body is shivering with cold, a sign that the girl has been around long enough under the rain—though Jenny can't be sure for what long.
“Your body is cold, Elma. Let Brother get a towel and turn on the warmers first so you—”
“Will I do.”
The sentence that Elma cut certainly made Jenny confused. Moreover, Jenny did not know what kind of topic had suddenly entered in their conversation at a time like this.
“What do you mean, El?”
Elma's head that was originally bowed was now raised slowly, revealing her figure more clearly and that made Jenny even more worried. The girl had definitely been in the rain for too long, as her face was already pale and her lips were turning blue.
“A-I'll do it, brother. Being a surrogate mother or whatever. I'll do it..”
