"Why are you looking at me like that?" Xie Hongyi asked as he sensed Wan'er looking at him with an adoring gaze.

Wan'er flinched, then he regained his senses.

"It's okay, ma'am,"

"I thought you were imagining your future husband" Xie Hongyi joked.

Wan'er's face turned red. At this age, it is the usual age to get married. But he was just a waiter. Once in a while, she had thought about what if she had a husband.

"No," Wan'er replied with a stutter.

The palace courtyard seemed busy with many people passing by. The courtyard was also filled with many wooden carriages parked around every corner. Each carriage was pulled with two horses that looked strong.

The servants entered Xie Hongyi's carriage. The inside of the carriage was large, it could accommodate up to 6 people.

It's getting dark. The journey is still far away and they have to pass through an area far from the crowd. The group decided to set up a camp on a large grass field.

Huang Long then looked at the three people lying on the ground, he could confirm that the three people had died because he could not feel their breath.

Not long after, then Dugu An came.

Huang Long then stopped guessing and ordered Dugu An to take care of the three bodies.

He felt someone was watching him. But, that person had no killing intent. Huang Long tried to find her but due to the minimal illumination and it seemed like the person was good at hiding, he found nothing.

After seeing Huang Long re-entering the tent, the two soldiers who had changed guard and Dugu An who had disappeared somewhere, Xie Hongyi did not move for a while.

After making sure that nothing would happen, he hurried away.

Naas, due to the lack of illumination of the return path he chose, he accidentally bumped into someone. She was Empress Shi. Both fell to the ground.

The night wind blew fiercely and flew the veil that covered half of Xie Hongyi's face.

"Ouch!" After Empress Shi fell, she quickly saw the person who hit her. He then knew that it was Consort Xie.

"Walk?" Empress Shi caught a glimpse of the clothes Xie Hongyi was wearing.

Xie Hongyi also noticed his gaze.

"Ah this. I just feel comfortable wearing it."

"Oh. You asked me what I was doing out last night, right? I hungry. So I'm looking for some things to eat." Answer Empress Shi.

"The Queen should rest immediately. It's not good to linger with the night wind." Xie Hongyi suggested.

"You're right. Then I'm leaving. Good night." After saying that sentence, he passed leaving Xie Hongyi.

"Good night." Xie Hongyi replied then he also left immediately.

After entering the tent, Empress Shi found Huang Long dealing with documents that seemed to be related to the government. Then he sat down on the edge of the bed while staring at Huang Long.

"I just met Consort Xie. He he suggested that I should get some rest. But it seems that suggestion is more suitable for His Majesty."

"Oh? Really true?" Huang Long replied with a fixed bow taking care of the documents before him.

"So I saw Consort Xie come out. He's wearing weird clothes."

It was only then that Huang Long raised his head and looked at Empress Shi.

"What kind of clothes?"

"All the clothes he was wearing were black. I also just realized it looks like he's coming from this direction." Empress Shi replied smoothly.

The corner of Huang Long's mouth was slightly drawn upwards. It seemed like he knew who the little rabbit was helping him.
