The System Make Me Near With The Emperor

The System Make Me Near With The Emperor
Chapter 83

Huang Long and Xie Hongyi were restrained in the room until dawn. Getting out of there, they immediately separated without saying a word because they could not meet face to face.

After that incident, Huang Long and Xie Hongyi were in a very awkward situation. More precisely, Huang Long who suddenly behaved strangely. If the two of them met, Xie Hongyi would greet Huang Long, but the man turned his head and walked the other way instead. In these few days already Xie Hongyi had often left Huang Long in a riveted state.

Clearly Huang Long's attitude implied that he wanted to stay away from Xie Hongyi. The woman felt strange. Xie Hongyi felt that he had not done anything to harm Huang Long, so why was it that when the man saw it such as seeing something disgusted and had to be shunned?

"System I don't understand with the protagonist. Why is he trying to get away from me? Did I do anything to offend her?"

Actually Xie Hongyi had some guesses in his heart. He thought that this change in Huang Long's attitude had something to do with yesterday's events.

It was a shame, Xie Hongyi admitted. But, it shouldn't have to go that way, right?

"I don't think so."

Xie Hongyi frowned. "really right? But why is he acting so weird?"

The system replied with its flat tone. "I don't understand human feelings."

Xie Hongyi forgot that a system is just a set of data that knows human feelings but does not understand. After all, why would he discuss about changing one's attitude on a machine? From the beginning it was his fault.

Xie Hongyi felt there was no point in discussing with the system.

Then he asked another question. "Is there no mission for me?"

"The priority now is to complete the main mission. So for now and some time ahead other types of missions will be suspended."

Hearing the system's words, Xie Hongyi placed his chin on the table while sighing boredly. Mind wandered. There are no missions, no activities, and now the protagonist is getting away from him instead.

Xie Hongyi suddenly shouted and kicked down the table.

Xie Hongyi got up from his seat in a hurry. "I wonder what caused Huang Long to stay away from me! Otherwise, I would definitely die from curiosity!" Since there were no side missions he had to work on, rather than continuing to laze around all day, Xie Hongyi decided to find out what caused Huang Long to behave strangely. If Huang Long insisted on staying away from him, then whatever the way, he would force the man to say why he was acting so strangely.

After finishing his sentence, Xie Hongyi ran away from the system.

Xie Hongyi and Huang Long have been living in Prince Yu's residence ever since it was revealed who Xie Hongyi was.

For some reason, when Prince Yu met Huang Long, Xie Hongyi's biological father always looked at him sharply as if Huang Long was a thorn in his eyes. But, Xie Hongyi did not think too much about it. He thought that Prince Yu was one of the people who did not like Southerners, except his mother.

Meanwhile, in the previous days, in the Northern Kingdom court, there was an incident that left the Emperor at a loss to put his face where.

Yin Tianrui had to endure embarrassment because the report he held turned out to be a book with explicit content. In order to save his dignity, he scolded all the officials present in the court and ordered to investigate who sent the report. Of course, the sender of the report denies because what he sent was the true original report.

After that, a rumor that said that the Emperor was so obscene that he kept a kamasutra book on his desk that it was confused with the reports. There is much speculation as to why the Emperor could have made such a mistake, for example there are people who argue that the Emperor's bed ability is not yet proficient so he needs the book. There are also those who say that the book will be read in his spare time by the Emperor to satisfy his concubines.

Yin Tianrui's reputation instantly plummeted. But even though everyone was aware of the rumors, they did not dare to talk about it openly because whoever did that would be sent to prison.

Then, there were reports of Xiao Zhang escaping from the prison, making Yin Tianrui's head become very dizzy. He then also ordered to investigate how Xiao Zhang was able to escape angrily, making his men afraid.

As if wanting to add more fire, Xie Hongyi wrote a letter to Yin Tianrui asking when he would discuss about the matter of their agreement. In the letter Xie Hongyi also threatened that if the peace agreement they proposed was not considered, then Yin Tianrui would lose one of his powers, Prince Yu.

Originally, Yin Tianrui felt funny while reading the letter. He was thinking how could Yin Yu betray him? However, his thoughts were broken with the arrival of Prince Yu to the Palace in the afternoon.

"Your Majesty, Hong'er has told me that the purpose of his trip to the North is to propose a peace treaty between the two countries. I wonder how it goes?" Although his tone asked, there was an implied meaning in his words, which meant that if Yin Tianrui did not act immediately then, the thing he did not want would happen.

Yin Tianrui looked at his brother. Afterwards, he finally said, "Well, fine. This Your Majesty will have a meeting with the officials then meet with them. This cannot be decided alone."

Hearing how Yin Tianrui answered him, Prince Yu held back a sneer. "I can only rely on Your Majesty."

The meaning behind his words was very clear. Yin Tianrui was a leader and it was fitting that the officials obeyed his decision. So this all depended on what Yin Tianrui's decision was.

But had Yin Yu thought whether it was easy to dispel the hatred between two countries that had been at war for so many years? Yin Tianrui felt a toothache when he thought about it. But he had no other choice. He could not oppose Prince Yu.

With his distinctive leader voice, Yin Tianrui said to the officials present at the court meeting. "For many years the Southern and Northern Kingdoms have been at war. According to Zhen, it's time we stop."

One of the officials asked even though he understood the meaning. "I mean Your Majesty?"

"Zhen proposed to make a treaty with the South. What do you think?"

As predicted, Yin Tianrui's words elicited an overwhelming reaction from his minions.

The minister of war voiced his opinion fiery. "Your Majesty, isn't the Southern Kingdom currently facing rebels? We should think of a way to attack them instead of making a peace treaty!"

The Northern Emperor also had the same thought as the war minister. However, Yin Tianrui had a premonition that if he attacked the Southern Kingdom, it would backfire on him.

"Right now we can't attack them."

"Why?"

Upset at the several times being opposed as well as her erratic mood, Yin Tianrui raised her tone. "Does anyone oppose Zhen? If there is, please come forward and accept the punishment for opposing the Emperor's decision!"

In awe of the high tone that Yin Tianrui put out, the officials did not dare to speak out again despite their objections to his decision. But, they had all these years of seeing how Yin Tianrui came to power. Their emperor never denied his words. Even last year, there was once an official who dared to oppose Yin Tianrui's decision and tried to thwart his policies. The next day, the official's house was found on fire and the occupants were lost somewhere.

Taking lessons from the past, they were required to submit to every decision made by the Emperor. Moreover, until now, none of his policies have harmed officials or the people.

"It has been decided, Zhen will write a treaty with the Southern envoy. Take it easy, the terms that Zhen requested would be commensurate with this agreement. Court, disperse." After which, Yin Tianrui rose from his throne and walked out of the room.

The moment the figure of Yin Tianrui disappeared, the room then boomed with various discussions.

Although they seemed to agree with Yan Tianrui's decision on the surface, some of the chiefs had thought about how His Majesty the Emperor would retract his decision. One was the most inconspicuous official, appearing to be alone when the others were discussing.

When the sky started to darken, one by one the officials finally went to go home. Except, there was one official walking towards the place where one of the Emperor's concubines lived.

A surprised female voice sounded in the courtyard where the concubine lived. "Ge! Why are you here?"

Seeing a graceful and beautiful figure approaching him, the man smiled. "I want to meet my sister? Can't that be?"

The sister smiled. "You're kidding. Which may not be. Come here Ge, enjoy a cup of tea. The air is cold at night."

The man then obeyed his sister's words. After sitting in the room, he told her the purpose of coming here.

After learning of her brother's purpose, the sister dropped her teacup. "What's? The Emperor wants to make a peace treaty with the Southern Kingdom? It can't be!"

"You might not believe it. But today His Majesty had a sudden meeting to inform him that he was going to make a pact."

The sister's voice became anxious as the words were thrown. "We must prevent His Majesty from making the agreement. But, how is it?"

"I heard that there were three suspicious people coming to the capital. They seemed to be the ones who helped His Highness deal with the Xiao family. According to the spies who were sent to watch over them, it was no mistake that they were from the North."

The sister seemed to be waiting for her brother to continue.

"Look, they're definitely not ordinary Southerners. I think they have an important position in the South or maybe they are emissaries. If we do something to them, the South will definitely get angry at the Emperor and attack the North."

"A very clever idea! But how do we pit the two sides?"

The man smiled mysteriously. He then looked to the left-right, afraid that someone would notice. Then, he leaned his body towards his sister and whispered.

After the man's body moved away, the brother's eyes then sparkled.

"I'm sure they'll be out for a walk. A few days later, you're looking for an excuse to get out of the palace."

The sister narrowed her eyes cunningly. "I will."
