Apparently while they were in the Seven Pavilion, an assassin replaced the coachman, and led them to a deserted forest.
"Who are you?"
One of the killers chuckled. "Didn't your servant call us murderers?" Then he drew his sword towards Xie Hongyi.
Xie Hongyi resisted the attack with a dagger that he used to cut off the officer's finger. The two of them were knocked back before starting to attack each other. One assassin attacked Xie Hongyi.
Ling'er, Wan'er, and Yi'er managed to defend themselves from the murderous attack with the defensive moves Xie Hongyi taught them. "Aah!" Xie Hongyi heard Yi'er's cry then the sound of iron clanking. It seemed like Yi'er chose the stone as a weapon.
Five assassins attacked them.
The murderers were astonished. They were obviously women, but why could they have survived to this point? The two most powerful assassins were the ones who attacked Xie Hongyi. Violently, they attacked Xie Hongyi thus making some scratches on the tree bark.
Due to the indiscriminate movement of the fight, Xie Hongyi was separated from his servants. He ran randomly while being followed by a killer.
The assassins mastered the science of lightening the body, so they could quickly catch up to Xie Hongyi who was running above the ground. Without looking back and relying solely on his hearing, Xie Hongyi tried to outwit the assassins by getting into the very lush bushes.
Xie Hongyi's footprints disappeared after he entered. One of the assassins said in disbelief. "He managed to escape?"
The other assassin gritted his teeth. His self-worth is lowered. He could not possibly lose to a woman! "Quick find him around here!"
Then the two of them followed Xie Hongyi's last trail.
Xie had no other choice but to hide deep in the bush. After no longer hearing the sound of footsteps, he slowly walked out from there. The first sight he found after exiting was a log cabin in the middle of the forest.
While on the other hand, the three maids of Xie Hongyi faced hardships as they fought the assassins. Like adult birds and newborn birds, they are no match for these murderers. Due to being too focused in self-defense, they were unaware of her Nyonya who had gone far away.
By the time they could barely hold on, several people appeared and attacked the assassins. The murderers then died in the hands of those men.
Xie Hongyi tried to summon the system as he walked into the hut. "System?" There is no answer from the system.
The interior of the cottage was dark even during the day. Xie Hongyi fumbled around, and touched an object. Xie Hongyi was startled, his eyes widening as the sunlight pierced through the crack of the wooden hut, illuminating the thing he touched.
In that room, there were a lot of paper dolls. There was a small child-shaped doll, an adult man with a rogue appearance, and a young woman whose face was powdered by a blushing powder. Their faces were different, but most of the puppets smiled in admiration. Their clothing patterns were even more beautiful than the fabric Xie Hongyi was wearing.
Paper dolls are used for funerals. He said they were made to accompany the spirits of the dead.
Xie Hongyi then spoke again on the system. "System, you don't turn the story genre into horror, do you?"
Really, even though the paper dolls are made to look like humans and embellished with beautiful accessories, they still look creepy. The atmosphere of the room was very quiet, so Xie Hongyi could hear the sound of his breathing.
There were footsteps in the middle of the room. The knocking sound was very clear, slowly approaching towards Xie Hongyi. In the middle of the darkness, a white figure appeared.
"What are you doing here?"
Xie Hongyi sighed in relief when he knew the white figure was a human. Before Xie Hongyi could speak, there was a rustling sound of people stepping outside the hut.
"Quick check the cabin!"
Xie Hongyi said softly to the white figure. "Where can I hide?"
The figure then understood the situation Xie Hongyi was facing. "Follow me!" The figure asked Xie Hongyi to follow him.
The door sounds open. It looks like the assassins made it in. For a moment there was a sound of gasp. It seemed like the assassins were also shocked by what was inside the room. But that doesn't scare them. They then stepped up to look for Xie Hongyi.
One of the assassins said as he finished observing the entire room. "He's not here."
The killer didn't realize there was one paper doll whose eyes bulged wider than the others. The paper puppet suddenly moved, nudging the paper puppet by his side. Like the domino effect, dozens of other paper dolls fell on their bodies.
One of the paper dolls pulled out a dagger and stabbed one of the killers in the throat. Blood immediately splashed onto the floor. "Hey, what's going on?" The other assassin asked as he did not hear his comrade's movements.
His partner did not answer because he was dead. The surviving killer then nudged his partner's body stiffly open, before he could make a move, a blunt object struck the back of his head. The assassin looked at the beautiful paper doll that grinned at him before his gaze darkened.
"That's the way to survive. If I don't kill them, then I'll die." Seeing that the white figure was still scared, Xie Hongyi said again. "Also, I didn't kill the other one."
Xie Hongyi looked at his clothes which he borrowed from the white figure. "Thank you for helping me. I'll return your clothes later."
The white figure nodded. "Either. You better get out of here soon."
"Why?"
"Are you not afraid of me?"
"Why should I be afraid of you?
"I'm cursed. So you better get away from me before you fuck."
"Curse?" Xie Hongyi then looked at the appearance of the white figure, then he laughed. "What's your name?" Said Xie Hongyi after he could close his mouth.
The white figure frowned. He replied in a low voice. "Jiang Baixi."
"Miss Jiang, if you say that someone approaching you will be unlucky, then why don't you tell me to leave from the beginning? In your heart, you must not be too sure of the curse."
Jiang Baixi was silent. Xie Hongyi said again. "Tell me, how can you be called cursed?"
After hesitating for a moment, Jiang Baixi then explained her life story. He was born with a white body. Her different appearance made her parents anxious. They then invited several priests to check on him. The priest said he was cursed. Every winter, he must be locked up in a place far from human habitation so as not to cause misfortune. And this paper doll says it can ward off that misfortune.
One corner of Xie Hongyi's eyes twitched. "Let me tell you, it's not a curse but a gene disorder called an albino."
Albino or Albinism (from Latin albus, "white"; or in Indonesian: Bulai), is one form of hypopigmentation congenital disorder characterized by the lack or absence of melanin pigment in the eyes, which is a common condition, skin and hair. Albinism is caused by inheritance of recessive gene alleles.
"If it's not a curse, why can't I stand under the sun?" His skin will be flushed immediately after he stands below it. He also could not see the light.
Xie Hongyi explained. "That's because your skin doesn't have any pigment that can protect it from radiation."
"I don't understand." Jiang Baixi shook her head.
Xie Hongyi sighed. "Forgetit." There's no point in telling.

"I promise to clear up this misunderstanding. You have to remember, your appearance is different from everyone else's because you're special not because of a curse." Xie Hongyi said as he stood outside the hut.
Jiang Baixi smiled, looking not to completely trust Xie Hongyi. But at least he had the hope he placed on him. "Do what you want to do."
Then Xie Hongyi walked towards the outside of the forest according to Jiang Baixi's instructions.
Outside the forest, several people were seen standing there. One of them paced back and forth and forth. The normally tense and flat face was now filled with anxious expressions. He muttered. "Great, Your Majesty must punish me."
Someone came. The anxious man slowly relaxed his face. "Hows it? You found Consort Xie?"
The man who had just arrived sighed. "No."
Wan'er who was sitting on a rock asked in a hoarse tone. "Sir, has the madam met?"
Dugu An heavily shook his head.
Yi'er was crying hysterically. "It's my fault I should have paid more attention to Madam." Ling'er who was sitting next to him stroked Yi'er's back. Eyes glinting.
Ever since Xie Hongyi came out of the palace, Dugu An followed the woman. But by the time he saw the events in the Seven Pavilion, Dugu An foolishly fell silent and then was unaware of Xie Hongyi's departure. As a result when he meets Consort Xie's group, they have been attacked by assassins and Xie Hongyi is missing. Dugu An could not imagine Huang Long's anger because he was negligent in the task.
At this moment, a light sound of footsteps came from the direction of the forest.
