The Throne Of Valor

The Throne Of Valor
Winter Night

A cold night, the wind blew fiercely carrying snowflakes slapping whatever it passed.

Steph, who was driving her car, could not see the road ahead because it was covered with snow.

"Sad we better stop here. The road is too hard in front." Gwen Carolina tries to remind Steph to pull over and wait for the snow to stop.

"Can't! If we stop, we'll be trapped in this forest. We have to keep going because the nearest town is already a few kilometers ahead."

That night after returning from Minnesotta Hall after witnessing a spectacular Morgan & Vivian concert, Steph Middleton and Gwen Carolina had to immediately return to Albama because her father Steph was rumored to be in a coma.

Steph still forced to penetrate the snowy road on his right is a ravine and on his left is an uninhabited forest.

Steph didn't want her dad's last moments, he wasn't next to her.

...

The snow is getting more crazy accompanied by lightning that strikes.

The roads that have been covered with snow are getting higher and soaking their car tires.

When they arrived at a sharp bend, their car tires suddenly lost their friction power because of the snow.

Slowly, their car started to get out of control at that sharp turn.

"Steph!" Gwen shouted loudly when she realized their car had completely lost control and was currently sliding towards a large rock in front of them.

With the speed that Steph could not control anymore, their car finally hit the big rock so hard that it made the front of the car destroyed.

....

Gwen slowly opened her eyes, she saw her hands and her nose had been fitted with utensils.

"Gwen! He opened his eyes!" Gwen heard the voice of a woman next to her shouting a name pointing at her.

Gwen slowly looked towards the side, where two aged people looked at her anxiously.

"Dad! Gwen opened her eyes, she was already conscious!"

Again Gwen heard the woman screaming with great pleasure beside her.

"Gwen? Who's that?" Gwen thought in her heart.

Then a man who had fallen asleep just now immediately ran out, it seemed like the man was going to call a doctor.

"What happened to me? I'm who? And where am I?" Gwen murmured in her heart as she looked at the roof above her.

"Doctor! My daughter has opened her eyes after two days lying here. Please check the situation."

Again Gwen heard the voice of the man next to her anxiously.

Gwen, who had initially remained silent, finally tried to speak to them.

"What happened to me?" Gwen spoke to the doctor with her mouth wrapped in a breathing apparatus.

"Two days ago you and a man you were with had an accident. It's a good thing you can still be saved" the doctor replied to Gwen as he examined her condition.

"His condition was still apprehensive yet this girl seemed to be quite strong, so she was able to come to her senses this quickly, thankfully.

I will take him to the ronsen room to see the development of the condition of his injured head.

Ladies and gentlemen, please wait here" the doctor closed and started taking Gwen to the ronsen room.

After a long wait, the doctor tells Gwen and the two men with her that Gwen has a severe condition in which all her memories are permanently lost.

This was due to a violent impact on the back of Gwen's head during a previous accident.

Fortunately, Gwen was still rescued after heavy bleeding.

When Gwen returned to her room, Gwen saw the two people with her crying beside her.

"Excuse me, why are you two crying like that? It's okay, it's just memory loss. I'm still here, right? There's nothing you need to cry about because I can still breathe." Gwen tried to comfort the two men so they would feel better.

"Gwen, I'm your father Jefferson Carolina, and this is your mother Amanda Carolina. Do you remember us, my daughter?"

"I can't remember anyone now, not even myself. It's okay, life goes on and maybe one day my memory will come back.

Gwen tried to calm them down, as Gwen felt deeply moved to see them crying like that in front of her.

Slowly her parents began to wipe away her tears and gently hugged Gwen.

"My daughter, Father and Mother love you very much. I'm glad you survived and can still comfort us who's getting older."

Gwen returned their arms softly, though Gwen had no memory of who they were.

But Gwen felt that their faces were very familiar.

...

After nearly a month in hospital, Gwen's condition improved.

Gwen was allowed to walk in a wheelchair around the hospital.

While Gwen was in the hospital garden covered with snow, Gwen looked up at the clear sky above her.

Gwen could not remember who she was, what happened to her, and why she could lose all her memories.

Gwen's tears slowly came out when she realized all that.

Every time someone visits her, Gwen can't remember who they are, making Gwen feel guilty and start blaming herself.

Sometimes on certain nights, Gwen wakes up and starts to cry herself.

It feels very painful for him.

The people who visited him when they heard Gwen ask who they were, immediately looked at Gwen with a confused look.

Fortunately there was always Father or Mother Gwen who took turns explaining what was being suffered by Gwen.

As Gwen had already spent some time in the hospital garden, Gwen saw a man slowly approaching her in a wheelchair and sitting with Gwen beside her.

The man looks the same age as her.

His hair was quite messy, sharp brown eyes, and a sincere smile as he looked at Gwen who was looking at him.

They did not know each other, but the man still smiled at him.

"Isn't this park beautiful when it's covered with snow?" The man asked Gwen to look towards the garden.

Gwen who heard him also thought the same thing because Gwen felt that the snow was like something sincere, something full of charm and beauty.

"Yes, I love the snow" Gwen softly replied.

"Oh look at that! There's a squirrel. Usually they only come out before and after winter." The man pointed towards the tall pine tree in front of them.

"Yes! I saw!" Gwen answered enthusiastically.

Gwen and the man eventually became quite familiar and started chatting about their respective illnesses.

The man who was beside Gwen also suffered something similar to her, but the man suffered a fracture in his leg so there is a possibility that his entire life will only be spent sitting in a wheelchair.

While Gwen only experienced memory loss with other body conditions that are still functioning properly.

Finally, after a long conversation, they said goodbye to each other because the sun had begun to set in front of them.

While directing his wheelchair back to his room alone, Gwen forgot to ask him what the man's name was because they were both chatting about something else.

But Gwen felt that the man felt familiar.

Like someone she's met before.

Gwen immediately turned towards the park, hoping that the man was there.

But unfortunately the situation there was empty, so Gwen decided to return with disappointment.
