7. Reading Jack's letter

"What?! Maya's been in an accident, how could it be?" veronica said with great surprise.

"Non, I just got this news. I think this news happened after Non met Non Maya."

Veronica was silent for a moment, her face looking surprised. He just stared without saying a word in front of the maid.

After a moment of silence, Veronica rushed from the front of the maid to the hospital.

"It's impossible to have an accident because of me, I'm sorry Maya, because I'm all this happening to you" Veronica said.

At the hospital, David just arrived. She saw Mother Maya sitting next to Maya with tears constantly breaking down her eyes. He approaches Maya's mother and asks Maya about what happened.

"Tante, what really happened to Maya? Why did this happen?" ask David who is standing near Maya's mother.

"Tante doesn't know David, who Auntie knows. Maya comes to Jack's funeral, and she meets Veronica and talks to him, after all. I don't know what's going on" Mother Maya replied with tears streaming down her eyes.

Not long after, Veronica arrived. He met the nurse in charge of guarding the cashier. She asked the nurse about the room Maya was in. After getting the room occupied by Maya, Veronica rushed to go to the room. Arriving in front of the room, David was already standing outside the room.

Realizing Veronica's arrival, David approaches Veronica with a sharp eye toward Maya.

"David, I'm sorry. I beg you, please allow me to see Maya, ", said Veronica.

David was silent for a while, he sighed and held both of Veronica's arms with a sharp eye toward Veronica.

"Are you taking revenge with me? Do you want to snatch me from Maya in this cruel way? Basic cheap women if you are able to do this," said David in a serious tone. His eyes were sharp towards the woman.

Hearing the accusation from David, Veronica just cried. His teary eyes held back sorrow at the accusation.

"David, I really want revenge. I did want to destroy your relationship with Maya, but I'm not that bad as David." Veronica asserted to David with tears dripping down her cheeks.

"Maybe it's David's karma? Karma for Maya because she's already ruined the life and feelings of the man who loved her so much."

"Don't brag about you" David replied in annoyance.

"Whatever, it's up to you to believe me or not. But, one thing you need to know, before Jack dies. Jack writes letters to Maya, expressing his love, his brokenness, his disappointment with Maya. I've read the letter, maybe if I had given the letter to the police, it could have been proof that Maya was the cause of Jack's death." David was silent to Veronica's explanation.

"But I didn't, because I knew.. I know, Jack couldn't have accepted that the woman he loved, he loved, went to prison. That's why when I met him, I gave the letter to Maya, so that Maya would realize that she was wrong and not repeat what she had done to Jack."

"Geez, " answered David by turning his face away from Veronica. After that he looked back at Veronica by holding both of Veronica's arms tightly. "Why did you give the letter to Maya? Wh why? Now you see what you've done, look!."

Hearing what David said, Veronica stared intently at David. He held onto David's two hands that were tightly holding his arms, he threw David's hands away with a sharp eye.

"You can accuse me of anything David does, but you have to remember what I said. Perhaps, Maya is like this because this is a retaliation for your Betrayal. Perhaps, this is a punishment for a traitor like you."

"You are silent!" veronica replied in a high tone and snapped at David to make her voice sound up in the room.

"Don't you think you can keep bullying me David, no!. You will never be able to touch me this time," Veronica replied with her voice while occasionally pointing at David.

Veronica was really angry, she pushed David up until he was pushed a few steps away from where David was standing. Seeing that, David just kept silent to see the woman who had loved him now hated him so much. After a momentary argument with David Veronica left David in tears.

In the car, Veronica cried. She screamed, cried so much she couldn't believe it because she could say it to the man she once loved.

"Oh my God, I hope I didn't get it wrong to say that to him. I hope I say that I don't do evil like them. Oh my God, I beg you to forgive me" said Veronica with tears streaming down.

Moments later, Veronica wiped her tears. He passed his car and drove his car very quickly to forget his anger.

Inside the hospital, Maya's mother who saw the incident slowly approached David. As she stood before David, Maya's mother held one of David's arms lovingly.

"What are you talking about until the woman cries like that?" ask Maya's mother to David.

David just kept quiet, looking at Mother Maya who was standing looking at him.

"Tante, I'm not talking anything with him." murmured David.

"Jawab Aunty firmly and clearly David. What are you talking about?" ask Maya's mother.

"Tante, I don't talk to her anything."

Hearing David's reply, Maya's mother let go of both hands. Without much thought he slapped David in the hospital, leaving all eyes on them.

Plaque....

"Auntie just asked you to explain to Auntie, what are you talking about? Butwhy? Why do you seem to be covering up secrets?" mother Maya snapped silent for a moment then she continued, "who is she? Is he your ex?"

Hearing the words of the former, David who just lowered his head instantly left his head and looked at Mother Maya.

"So he's your ex, did he make Maya like this?" ask Maya's mother in a soft tone.

"I don't know Auntie, who she said she just gave a letter from Jack to Maya, after she left. He doesn't know that by giving the letter, Maya will have an accident this severe." David's Light to Maya's Mother.

Hearing that, Mother Maya could not say a word. He could only be silent with tears constantly breaking down his eyes. Seeing that, Maya's mother begins to realize that Maya is in love with Jack, but she also does not want to release David from her hands.

"Mam now knows Maya, Mama knows that you still love Jack. Forgive Mama, mama is not aware of that," said Maya's mother with tears continuing to break.

After some crying, Maya's mother wakes up from her seat and leaves the hospital to pursue Veronica who has left the hospital. She did it because Maya's mother wanted to know the contents of the letter that Maya read to make Maya experience a very fatal accident.
