Calvin was not eager to do his work. His mind was now filled with guilt towards Cantika.
"What, I've been too late for him" he whispered to himself, rubbing his head violently.
Calvin leaned his body, and sharpened his eyes while shaking his chair.
"Cal, are you sleeping?" Calvin gasped in shock, until he suddenly heard someone's voice.
"Are you Kenjo, just ngagetin?" Calvin touched his chest, and patted it softly, to relieve the shock he felt. While Kenjo just chuckled at the expression of his best friend.
"Sorry, Dude! I'm thinking you're sleeping. What do you think about it anyway, until I open the door you don't hear?" asked Kenjo while landing his body sitting on the sofa.
"none. I just feel tired" said Calvin, lazy.
Kenjo squinted his eyes, feeling that his best friend was in trouble. Because he knew, no matter how sweet Calvin was, he had never acted this strangely.
"You got a problem, Cal?"
"Nothing! what do you want to come here? is there anything important?" calvin asked trying to act as usual.
"Actually, iya. But it seems you have a problem again. So, tomorrow I'll talk to you. You better talk to me, what's the matter?" Kenjo leaned his body against the back of the sofa, staring at Calvin, ready to listen.
"I told you I don't have a problem, why don't you believe me anyway?" Calvin was getting upset.
"Well, if you don't want to tell a story, that's okay. I'll go back first. Whenever you want a story, I'm ready to listen. I'm back, man. If you need a friend to confide, I'm ready. Hye!" Kenjo stood up, patted Calvin on the shoulder, then stepped outside.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
The king of the Solar System is now beginning to crawl limping westward, a sign that he is getting tired of illuminating the earth. While the moon, the commander and the soldiers of the stars, now began to prepare to replace the task of the king.
Bagas was seen entering his yard and immediately put his car into the garage.
Bagas stepped inside the house. As usual, Clara the wife would always greet him with a smile and instantly take over the briefcase from Bagas' hands.
"Where's Brian, honey? tanya Bagas after giving a brief kiss on the top of his wife's head.
"There's in each room, Mom? replied Clara who after the birth of Cantika first, had changed her call from Kak, to mas.
"Mas take a shower now, I'll have dinner first!" keep Clara back.
"Why are you alone? why doesn't Cantika help?" Bagas squinted his forehead.
"Either! from this afternoon, your daughter, did not come out of her room. Looks like he's the same Calvin."
"Couldn't you? isn't it just that I left them all right?"
Clara exhaled, with a single blow. "Mas, looks like we don't have to match them. They don't love each other. So, we must not force our will." said Clara, shrewdly.
Bagas sighed and published a smile on his lips. "You take it easy, let me talk about this to Cantika. I go upstairs first yeah," Bagas went upstairs, after Clara, nodding her head, assuring her.
Arriving at the top, Bagas knocks on Cantika's door, "Cantika, Can .. open the door first, son!" Bagas exclaimed from the outside, but there was no response at all from Cantika.
Bagas knocked back, but still there was no response. "Cantika, if you don't open up, papa will break down your room,"
"You why? are you upset again?" Bagas instantly scattered with a sharp gaze.
"Yes, I'm upset the same, Papa." said Cantika ketus.
"I regret why? did you make a mistake?" Bagas knitted his eyebrows together, confused by Cantika's intent.
"I'm upset, because papa has forced people to marry papa's daughter, to use mengancancam want to bankrupt his company if you do not want to marry your daughter. Is that not evil?" cantika protests with throbbing lips.
Bagas put on a smile, instantly understanding why his daughter was so angry. "Cantika, actually it's just papa's alibi. There's no way Papa could've made Calvin's company go bankrupt because he just wouldn't marry you. Actually papa has a reason why you want Calvin to be your husband."
"What?" ask Cantika, curious.
"Because papa wants the best for you and papa has known Calvin for a long time. He is a very responsible man and has great respect for women.
"That according to papa. According to Cantika, no. She even said that if it wasn't for Papa's threats, she'd rather be single all her life than marry me. Is that what he calls honoring women? how bad am I, until she talks like that?"
Bagas smiled back in response to his daughter's words. "That's because you're fierce. That's why that woman shouldn't be so fierce."
"Oh, my mama is fierce, but papa is still in love." Cantika, sneer at her papa.
"Originally you know, when your mom was little, it wasn't bad. Papa is also so confused why after he grew up, your mama became fierce like that?" bright, Bagas with a smile that did not date from his lips.
"Anyway, I still don't want to marry Calvin. Because I don't like him and he doesn't like me either, the point isn't comma." Cantika said.
"Love can be present if the two of you interact often. Aren't you challenged to conquer Calvin's heart? you have to make him eat with his own words, how?" Bagas provokes his daughter, whom he knows his daughter likes a challenge.
Cantika, speechless by rolling her eyeballs, was like thinking about something.
"It looks like it did, Dad. I have to make her retract her words." Cantika said as she nodded her head.
"Do you want to know another reason, why would you want to betroth you two?"
Cantika nodded her head, feeling curious.
"In addition to being a responsible man, Papah wants to fulfill the mandate of your great-grandfather and great-grandfather Calvin. Your great-grandfather was helped by Calvin's great-grandfather. From there, the two of them became friends and promised that they would be able to match their children. However, it turns out they both have a son, your grandfather and Calvin's grandfather. So, they say, let their grandchildren be paired. But, as it turns out, my mother and Calvin were not a match, because papa was waiting for your mother, while Calvin's mother, married someone else who loved him more, long before papa married your mother." Bagas paused for a moment to take a pause, as well as to scoop up oxygen, which began to diminish as he spoke a lot.
"Makanya, when Calvin joked, asked you to be made as a wife, papa pretended to refuse at first, so that papa did not look too happy. But, eventually papa accepted and even gave a threat to him. Great hope papa, so that you and Calvin can fulfill the mandate of your great-grandfather, dear." continued Bagas back, explaining.
Netra Cantika grew up perfectly hearing his papa explanation.
"Hmm, okay, Pah. But actually not because of. trust from great-grandfather. But because I feel challenged. I want to make him pull his own words."
After saying that, and after her papa came out of her room, Cantika grabbed her phone and called Calvin's number. Not a regular call, but a video call.
"Hi, my future husband!" he said so Calvin's face was clearly on his phone screen, not caring about Calvin's startled expression from the other end.
