Chapter 73. Trying to Escape

Hearing the screams of the commander of the troops tasked with guarding the gates of Guancheng city, Fan Tian immediately stopped his actions to fight back.

However, there are now ten soldiers who still stand to face the five figures that they care about.

"I did not see your face, but General Wang Zijun himself ordered us to arrest you!" Reply to the soldier.

Fan Tian deliberately displayed the badge belonging to the Li family to the commander of the troops standing right in front of him.

"I don't want you to catch the wrong person and force your will to keep us guilty.that's why we're trying to avoid you." Fan Tian tried to give an excuse to be able to trick the commander of the army.

As Fan Tian spoke, the commander accidentally saw the badge belonging to the Li family hanging on the young man's waist.

Fan Tian pretended to look in the direction where the badge hung on his waist and immediately hid it again.

Because they already understood what Fan Tian was thinking, so the four of them agreed with what the commander of the army and Fan Tian said.

Chen Zhu was staring at Sung Yunzi.

"Miss Dong, you two just wear my horse, let me be with him." Chen Zhu said.

Dong Huang nodded to agree to the offer Chen Zhu gave.

"Open the gate for them!" Shouted the commander.

The soldiers who were there immediately did as their superiors ordered.

The four figures who had ridden the two horses, immediately left the place.

"Sir, we will tie you up to be brought before General Wang Zijun." Said the commander.

"Can't! Do you think I'm a criminal you have to chain?" Reply Fan Tian.

"If so, what do you want?" Ask the commander again.

"Let them catch me themselves. If they can't catch me, you have to let me through that gate." Fan Tian replied.

"You must come with us to face general Wang Zijun in chains, if you still resist, we will forcefully act rudely to you!" The commander said firmly but unbeknownst to Wang Zijun's subordinates gestured for Fan Tian to flee immediately, as the city gate was already open.

But it was too late, because Wang Zijun's entourage was now seen heading towards them.

"Don't let him get away!" Wang Zijun.

The commander could no longer deny the order even though he was the capital's security force.

Fan Tian immediately turned around and looked at Wang Zijun who had come along with his subordinates.

"Damn! With their numbers, I can't face them, I'd better get out of here." Thought Fan Tian and immediately darted past the Guancheng city gate guard troops.

The two commanders in charge of that place could only be shocked to see Fan Tian's actions. Until a few moments just give orders to their subordinates.

"Please drop the arrow at him!" Shouted the commander.

The soldiers guarding the Guancheng city walls immediately released their arrows towards Fan Tian who ran away from the city.

Fan Tian quickly brushed aside the hundreds of arrows that shot towards him while continuing to run.

"Basic useless!" Wang Zijun snapped at all the soldiers present and continued to spur his horse to chase after Fan Tian.

"I should be able to get close to the outskirts of that forest before they can catch up to me." Thought Fan Tian and continued running.

Hundreds of troops along with some powerful warriors continued to race their horses to catch up to Fan Tian.

"Whatever your running speed, you still won't be able to escape our pursuit." Wang Zijun muttered that at that time he was ready with his weapon.

Due to the distance of the field that stretched beyond the city walls of Guancheng was almost a mile away, so that Fan Tian could be overtaken by Wang Zijun's army and immediately surrounded him.

"Quickly surrender and come with us to stand trial." Wang Zijun.

"What is my fault that you want to arrest me?" Fan Tian replied asking.

"Groan!" Shouted Wang Zijun giving the order.

The dozens of soldiers standing in the leading positions immediately thrust out their respective spears to injure Fan Tian.

Fan Tian immediately made a spinning motion while swinging his spear to fend off every spear attack of dozens of soldiers who surrounded him.
