Chapter 23 — Practice Aura (End)

After finishing her brief affair with the knights from the royal palace, Selena continued walking back to her private room which was also where Luminas was training.

As he was passing through the hallway leading to his private room, a man in servant clothes was standing firmly by the side of the hallway entrance.

“If the Silver Snow Wolf Knight Order has come, have them wait for two days,”

Selena whispered into the servant's ear as she passed by.

“As you wish, Your Majesty,”

Luminas stabilized her aura even though Selena had left. Of course Luminas is not aware of Selena's absence because she is too focused on her aura.

Time after time had passed, Luminas who was too focused with her training, was unaware of how much time she was going through.

At some point the aura in the heart of Luminas had become dense and Luminas had stopped absorbing mana around.

Although the aura of Luminas had become dense, it had yet to reach a point of perfect harmony. Like it was in the same place, yet hostile to each other.

The aura and magic energy continued to clash, Luminas felt pain from his heart. With eyes closed, Luminas displayed an expression of pain. Moans sounded from his mouth and sweat poured out from his forehead. The pain seemed so painful that Luminas could lose consciousness at any time, but until now he was able to endure it well.

“Uwarghh”

Luminas shouted out loudly. The aura and mana that were around Luminas' body trembled strongly. The heart of Luminas once again shone very brightly. It seemed that the energy that was gathering in his body was clashing back.

But in this clash, there was something different. From a distance, it appeared that the aura was blue and white and also where pure was trying to merge. Luminas seem to be trying to form a harmony so that the two energies can coexist.

Sparks of magic energy flashed in the air. The entire room was now scattered with a very cold energy. The walls of the room were covered with thin ice.

Unaware of the boisterous atmosphere surrounding him, Luminas continued his efforts in uniting his aura and magic energy.

“HIYAAH!”

Luminas exclaimed loudly. Once again the magic energy in the air trembled strongly. The light emanating from the heart of Luminas shone even brighter. In the air seemed the aura and magic energy churned and tried to fuse together. Up to —

*BAMM!

The light shining in the heart of Luminas began to crack and break. The light rays traveled throughout Luminas' body like it was enveloping him. Until the body of the Luminas is now covered by the bright light entirely.

After a moment of bright light emanated from Luminas' body, the light began to dim. The view of Luminas surrounded by blue light is floating in the air.

Luminas opened his eyes slowly. After he opened his eyes, the blue light that enveloped Luminas' entire body began to disappear, and Luminas stopped floating in the air.

The luminas appear stable when descending from the air and can land safely. His vision looked blurry, for a moment Luminas could not see anything. Until his vision returned slowly and he looked around.

As he looked towards the entrance, he saw Selena leaning against the wall right beside the entrance.

“Mother?”

When Luminas called out to her, Selena clapped her hands as she walked over to him. Luminas who saw Selena walking towards her also approached her.

“Lumiiii!!”

Selena suddenly ran towards Luminas and hugged him very tightly. Luminas were hugged firmly until her body was lifted off the ground and twisted around by Selena.

“Lumi!!! Do you know how worried your mother is?!”

“Aaaaah, Mom! Please stop!”

Luminas felt dizzy as her body was twisted around by Selena.

“Ah! I'm sorry Lumi!!”

Selena immediately stopped her actions and put Luminas back on the ground, then she hugged him back very tightly.

“I-mom, stop. Stop this,”

Now Luminas feels suffocated because the embrace of Selena is too tight.

“Ah, yes! UHUK! By the way, how are you feeling, Lumi?”

Selena released a hug from Luminas and coughed as if to keep the impression of being an authoritative mother.

“Ah, yes. I was feeling a little dizzy, but now it's okay,”

Selena stroked her chest and heaved a sigh of relief.

“Mother, how long has it been since I trained here?”

Luminas only realized that during this time he was too focused on his training and did not pay attention to time. Luminas thought that it might have been a few hours to see his mother still here and not yet departing for the battlefield.

Luminas who was shocked by the surprise attack, he could not avoid it. Although he could see his attack, he felt that this little body could not fend him off anyway because his body's reaction was too slow. Yet....

Luminas bounced off a blow from Selena. But he was not hit by the blow completely, he managed to hold it by crossing both arms. He also felt that he was bouncing not so far away that did not fit his shadow.

Selena smiled widely when she saw the puzzled Luminas.

“You managed to fend off my attacks that were strengthened with aura. Which means you can already use the aura well even though you have never tried it,”

Luminas could not hide her expression of shock.

After saying this, Selena again darted towards Luminas. Now Luminas can predict Selena's attack so they can prepare first.

But even though Luminas could predict that Selena would attack, he still had difficulty in fending off the attacks from Selena. That's because Selena seems to be using twice as fast speed as before.

Luminas can see Selena's attack, but this time he can't fend her off because her body's response is too slow.

Selena's punch landed heavily on Luminas's face, and this time Luminas bounced around until it almost touched the wall of the room. He was confused as to what to react in response to the attack from Selena.

Without giving any time to think, Selena came back crashing and let out a hovering kick that led to her face. Luminas that feel threatened can quickly react in avoiding the attack.

Luminas are still confused by Selena's intentions. But he was more confused by the reaction of his body which suddenly became faster and able to compensate for Selena's speed.

Selena pulled out a punch at high speed. Attacked by an extremely fast attack, Luminas found it difficult in avoiding him. Luminas's eyes seemed to follow the direction in which the punch flew, and his body could follow his will in dodging.

‘Did my body emit an aura unconsciously because it felt the threat from the mother's attack?’

When Selena had reached enough distance to attack Luminas, she flicked her foot on the ground and let out a kick that led to Luminas' stomach.

He was thrown away and lost his balance. He continued to roll around until the walls of the room stopped him.

Selena felt that something was different from Luminas, she suddenly felt hesitant to attack Luminas because of her feeling that this time it would be dangerous.

But Selena snorted and dispelled her doubts quickly. He argues that if there is indeed something different about Luminas then let it happen.

Selena accelerated, moving vertically until the aura she emitted formed a straight line. Selena intended to utilize her speed to launch a fast and powerful straight-line attack.

Selena was outside the residence and was standing before thousands of soldiers in their shiny silver armor. Selena confidently stood before all of them, while Luminas curled up to hide behind her mother's feet like a timid girl.

A blond woman in the typical dress of a medieval witch walks over to Luminas who is behind Selena's feet. She is one of Selena's aides, Marina.

Luminas who was peeking out from behind her mother's feet looked so adorable, she looked like a frightened kitten. Even Selena almost lost control when she saw it. As everyone was immersed in their thoughts, a dark-skinned woman with grayish-white hair with a long neck walked up to Selena.

“Commander, the whole team is ready. Please give the order whenever you want,'

The dark-skinned woman with grayish-white hair was one of Selena's aides, Rufus.

“Good, then—“

“SWARRIOR!”

Selena shouted in a high tone, it seemed that she was using her magic to expand the range of her voice.

They all answered Selena's call excitedly while stomping their feet in unison.

“WHO ARE YOU?!”

“”SILVER SNOW WOLF KNIGHT ORDER!!!””

Their voices were all heard echoing even though they were in an open room.

“WHAT IS OUR DESTINATION?!”

“”WE WILL TEAR THEIR BODIES APART!!”

““AND GO HOME TO VICTORY!!””

When they said that, the soldiers shook their feet once more and made the earth tremble. They all exclaimed with excitement.

Selena, who saw her warrior spirit and morally ready for battle, smiled broadly.

Luminas was amazed to see the soldiers. Those who were full of morals to fight, they looked invincible. Luminas is convinced that only victory awaits his mother's return.
