Chapter 6 — Difficult decision(2)

In a waiting room at the court, a young girl in her early 20s was sitting in a chair near a corner of the room accompanied by several large, creepy-looking men. The girl looked battered and she was very scared because she was handcuffed and guarded by creepy people.

Tears flowed from his eyes, he cried but he could not make a sound because he thought he would be hit again like before because he was considered acting suspicious. Her appearance was very shabby and her eyes looked swollen from crying too much. He muttered something several times and mentioned about his mother.

“Hey dear Alice, stop crying. Your face becomes ugly if you cry~. Isn't the only good thing is your face? Hahaha,”

A young man sitting in the chair across the room broke the silence of the room. He mocked the girl and laughed at her. Despite being mocked like that, the girl did not respond to him and still muttered while crying as if she was so scared that the voice from around her was almost inaudible

“Hahaha, didn't I tell you to shut up and just obey? I only touched you a little but your reaction was too exaggerated. So I'm forced to do this, don't blame me, just blame yourself for trying to report this,”

Hearing this, the girl's emotions surged. His eyes widened and he rose from his chair and shouted at the man opposite him.

“K-YOU!! YOU HARASSED ME WHAT I SHOULD—“

A slap was heard, before he finished his sentence the girl was slapped by the big man beside her. Because of its large body, the power used to slap was also great so that the girl who was weak and also not in good condition immediately fell to the ground with just one slap.

“Silent, you don't have the right to speak,”

The big man let out a terrifying voice and gaze. Alice who heard this grew more frightened and her tears flowed more and more. He was helpless and he could only give up this situation. He always thought about what he had done so he was given this kind of punishment.

“Defend Alice Malten and Prosecutor Richard Desmond please enter the room,”

A man in a suit entered the waiting room and told them to enter. Alice who was still on the ground was pulled and forced to get up by the big man who hit her earlier.

After being hit by the blow earlier, Alice's gaze became like a dead fish, she was helpless and already had no hope of life anymore. He only resigned when two large men held his arms tightly and took him in by force. He also no longer has the energy to fight and accept his fate here.

The young man sitting opposite him walked past him, he approached the girl's ear and whispered

The young man laughed loudly. Alice, who was already in such bad condition, had no desire to reply to the young man's words. He only hoped that his life would end here and that all his suffering would be resolved. But even though he thought that way, the girl still had a strong desire to live and he was not ceaselessly praying and a miracle happened that saved his life.

“Defendant Alice Malten and Prosecutor Richard Desmond enter the room!”

Someone announced their arrival, the girl noticed the surrounding installation. He had seen the court several times, but he had never seen a court so silent as this, even the occupants did not flinch and only glanced at him when he entered the room.

The girl called Alice looked at the judge's table. He saw the judges who were going to judge him, they all looked the same, but there was one different person, he said, He was the only one who seemed to have emotions and directed a look of pity at Alice so that Alice's gaze could not be separated from him. His attention was turned to a man with black hair wearing glasses, then he glanced at the sign on his desk.

Alice had seen the man somewhere and had even heard his name. Alice tried to remember it, but she needed time to remember it.

Alice recalled that a judge by that name had visited her campus first. The judge is a great judge and is famous for having tried very important cases.

He felt the presence of the judge was so memorable that Alice remembered him. He remembered that He was the speaker at the time and He was talking about justice for him. When he was talking about justice on campus at the time, his expression became bitter so that Alice felt that the judge had often seen cases of injustice and he was fed up with it.

Alice is impressed with the judge because she is a person with a high justice spirit also dedicated to her work. Although his work defies his idealism and makes him fed up, he continues to do his job and has no intention of quitting.

Alice felt the reason the man did not quit his job was because he hoped that one day justice in this country would rise and he sought to implant it little by little even though it hurt his conscience, he was amazed by the judge by his dedication to justice.

The judge is now in front of him. The judge who was famous for having tried a great case perfectly, as well as the judge whom he admired for his justice, inevitably Alice became hopeful of the miracle that was happening in front of him. He felt that he might be saved if He did well, even though Alice had no lawyer He had to say it well so that the judge could give himself justice.

Looking at Alice who had regained hope, Richard Desmond smiled. He felt that Alice had expected nothing from this court. Because Richard knew that this court was not an ordinary court, but a court devoted to his organization so he did not worry if Alice would be found not guilty.

The real reason Richard wasn't worried was because he was the son of one of the top secret organization executives, Rainer Desmond. He had already told his father about this and his father suggested that Richard should tell a secret about his organization to the girl so that the girl could be tried here and not have the slightest chance.

The trial began, first the judge read the agenda of the trial first and read the demands made by Richard to Alice. He also said Alice had given false reports of abuse when the opposite happened.

Alice wanted to refute him, but he was not allowed to speak. The demands made along with the evidence sound logical, making Alice even more afraid that Richard's words were true, all in vain.

If the girl does have evidence of Richard leaking this then the charges will go back to Richard and the trial will be reversed so that the two of them may survive.

He bet with his life and the girl's life this time. He hoped that the girl could really reverse the trial this time around. All he had to do to help her was to give the girl a chance to talk and let her do her job.

Nielson waved his hand, hinting at the person beside him for him to stop his speech.

“This, this is a recording of my conversation with Richard while he was harassing me. Here it is plain that he actually did and all his accusations against me are false accusations,”

Alice said with confidence and confidence. Hearing Alice's words, Richard panicked and had to stop Alice from saying them any further.
