“Novel love it long time boring huh. What say?” Jiyya with her shoulder-length black hair raised her head, looking at a young man who looked almost dead from boredom. Jiyya herself is still busy with her folding computer. He is taking care of one interest that cannot be left behind. But the noisy young man next to him seemed to be trying to ask for more attention. Minimum reaction to the question that was expressed a moment ago.
Jiyya cleared her throat before opening her voice. Today he did not enter, Jiyya wanted to be absent because she was reluctant to meet Sir Joan. He thought he could be alone, but he wasn't. He's got an uninvited guest. Dean. The young man suddenly knocked on his door with a five-fingered smile and a bag of chicken and fries and a few canned drinks.
Jiyya wanted to throw him out and told him that she did not want to be disturbed. But Dean's not his name if he can't squeeze in. The young man had one wish. It can only force.
“Yes, if the story is just that, love at first sight, love so hate, and vice versa, I am personally bored. Moreover, the story about infidelity, I was lazy to read it.”, said Jiyya with eyes that are still perched on a favorite laptop. He did not give a glance at the guest at all.
“But, says Sir Yoga such a theme is on the rise. It feels like you do not have freedom, if you want to be accepted and have market share you have to follow the trend. Realistic said.” Dean argued while pursing his lips funny, and Jiyya herself felt she should not miss her work to peek at the young man's expression. “Then what about the story of friendship so love? Loving someone who has been close to you for a long time without ever having a conflict means can't it be a funny momentum to be told to grandchildren?”
“You sound like an old geezer, Dean,” joked Jiyya, his hands are still busy typing on the keyboard board.
“I'm just asking your opinion.” The next second Jiyya heard the sound of a can of drink being opened, and the young man immediately took a gulp at her.
“No comment I guess.” Jiyya quickly gave an answer. Dean glanced at him with a stifled expression.
“That's because you fell in love with Bestian who is our best friend. I know you're just embarrassed to share your views on that. At least help me Jiyya, I need a lot of inspiration for my work. Sir Yoga wants me to create a new title with a general theme but it should be a non-boring one,” complained Dean once again. The young man seemed to be a little serious and not just trying to tease her for entertainment purposes alone.
Somewhat surprising indeed how a Dean who can not stand still, even entered the literature department and now he said he was challenged to make a novel for his college assignments. Not that people with silent personalities cannot be writers, but most of what Jiyya knows writers usually have quieter personalities. Dean might be an exception to that.
Finally Jiyya stopped her typing activity and gave a hand that was immediately understood by the young man. Dean opens the canned drink to Jiyya without having to say what she needs.
“You should read the literature or ask Silvana. He can help you in love matters, let alone the story he has with the men is always interesting.” Jiyya accepted it easily. Then gulp down the drink anyway.
“That's what you think, reading it makes me sleepy and I also have no interesting intentions about the story of his life Silvana. Hey, if you don't like me, I'm asking about you and Bestian, what about us, what about Jiyya?” For a moment Jiyya looked at Dean. The man said without the annoying smile that he often presented Jiyya as usual.
Immersed by his own feelings, it was a matter of comparing this young man to Bestian. Jiyya only gave a slight smile.
“We're different, Dean.” Jiyya put the canned drink that she had gulped down its contents on the side of the table. Back to busy themselves to type something on his folding computer. While Dean was still faithfully looking at him with a gaze filled with curiosity.
“If you and Sir Joan?” Instantly the agile fingers pressing the keyboard keys came to a halt instantly. The memory of what had happened between him and Sir Joan immediately filled his head. Especially the kissing scenes they did. Jiyya actually wanted to choose indifference, but it seemed like the facial expression she was showing Dean just now was not enough to support her to get out of the uncomfortable question Dean had just uttered without guilt.
“Why did you suddenly ask me about him?”
“Just curious.”
“Your deal with me is done, right? why are you still here?” Jiyya shifted the topic to break up the gripping silence that suddenly just made her uncomfortable. It was strange to be in a quiet situation with Dean who incidentally was the noisiest young man in the entire campus.
Dean sighed. “Betah,” said lightly this time while biting one part of the thigh of the chicken which he said himself a gift to Jiyya. It's a weird young man.
“When you want to go?”
“You kicked me out? What kind of friend are you, Jiyya?” Dean is back on his original personality. That made Jiyya a little relieved. Serious Dean was a little scared to get him to face if I could be honest.
“When to go?” press Jiyya again on her childhood best friend.
“Ck, soon.” Dean clucked bitterly, Jiyya glanced over and found the young man nagging himself as he moved from his sitting position.
Before he really stood up. The young man caught a notification coming into Jiyya's phone which was lying just like that in the young man's sight. Jiyya herself was unconscious because she tuned her phone without a ringtone. Therefore, Jiyya still focuses her attention on laptops.
“Hm?”
“Do you like Sir Joan?”
Jiyya kept her head up and looked at Dean. Jiyya suspected that she knew something, because since then she had always tried to bring up the topic about the man. And if you remember again in every event that Dean made there was always Sir Joan invited. Thinking about it now is a bit awkward. But where could it be? Dean is not the kind of person who would be sensitive to things like this. The only things that interest him the most are Ramen and also money.
“I like you all," replied Jiyya who was immediately responded with laughter by Dean. His hands moved just to clean his own hair.
Dean is one of the young men who arguably best understand the figure of a woman like Jiyya. It was natural for him to be able to understand the girl. They have known each other since childhood. This is similar to the friendship between Jarvis and Silvana. But the difference is, there has never been a grapevine of bad news and issues that say that Dean and Jiyya have a special relationship more than just friends.
Dean himself fortunately did not look at Jiyya with a different point of view. He considers the girl to be like his own brother and has entrusted each other. Their parents were also very close, so things like visiting her like this was not a big thing and would never be a scandal.
Even so, there was a time when Jiyya experienced a major change in her treatment. Precisely when Bestian entered the circle of friendship between the two of them, and Dean realized that since then Jiyya had dropped her heart to the young man. Even though she was no longer with them, it seemed that the girl still held the same great taste as before.
After with Bestian now published Sir Joan. The girl always attracts the closest people to fall in love with her. And all that attraction always starts from a bond of friendship. Dean was not stupid, though perhaps Jiyya thought so. He realized that Sir Joan was interested in Jiyya from the first time Dean introduced her to his childhood friend.
Yes, he always fared like a matchmaker for Jiyya who is passive in romance.
“I'm coming home, it's like this.” Dean glanced at the watch he was wearing on his left hand. He now saw Jiyya looking straight at his face.
“Cautious.”
“I think I'll be cold. Borrow your jacket yes.”
“Ck, I don't have a big size jacket.”
Dean seemed to be unconcerned, instead he tried to scramble Jiyya's closet without feeling awkward. Fortunately Jiyya separated her underwear from being in the same closet. This is what is worried when carelessly saving. There is one most absurd entity that can shamelessly scramble its closet and sinful face.
“I think the jacket that was loaned by Bestian was still in your closet.”
Dean's words right pressed something on Jiyya's chest. Dean remember that? it feels a bit strange for Jiyya. He was quiet for a long time.
“Just use.”
“Thank you, Bestie.” As soon as Jiyya glanced, Dean was already wearing the man's jacket. His chest felt tight once again.
“Have gone home there.” Dispel Jiyya with hand gesture. Dean just chuckled as he moved towards the exit.
“Hey, today Silvana is also not in the table. You two compact yes,”
“Ha?”
Not yet had Jiyya asked, Dean had already breezed away because Jiyya heard the sound of the door creaking shut itself had become concrete evidence that the man was no longer around.
What does it mean that Silvana didn't come in? Did the same thing happen to both of them?
