A Happy End?

Today is the last day I devote myself to this Elementary School. As a farewell day, today the four of us do not teach. Instead of spending time having fun with them during this one day. By wearing a sports uniform, later we will play a variety of exciting games that we have prepared.

Not only the four of us, I also invited other friends to participate. So today's event will be very festive.

Start with gymnastics together in the middle of the field. Gea, Sita, Abdul, and Rend became gymnastics instructors. While I was also the other friends gymnastics in the back with the teachers. If Indra is not asked again, he must be part of the documentation.

After that, the fun game began. Per class put out each representative, and the other could sit around on the sidelines to support his classmates.

Each race will be debited first by us. The first race is the mine. From the first camp there is me in the front, then Sita, Puput, Rere, and Iren who are our main weapons. Then from the opposing camp there is Rendi who faces me directly, followed by Ucup, Nopal, Fahmi, and Revelation.

"One, two, three!" Alif as the referee began to fumble.

Priiett!!!

The sound of a long whistle became a sign of the start of the match.

"One! Two! Pull it!!!" We are calling for aba-aba.

"Yeah!!! Aaaa!!" While the boys are more into screaming that inflames the spirit.

The students watching seemed to be enjoying it. They also screamed for support. The students who support my group, and the students who support the opposing group.

"Yahoo!!" From behind I heard Iren shouting out loud. It looks like he's putting out extra energy.

Gubrakk!!!

"Yey! Win! We won!!!" The five of us hugged. Didn't expect that the extra pull from Iren just made us win.

The match was continued by the students. Game by game we do. Starting from the pull of the mine, putting nails in a bottle, a running race with a mouth that bites a spoon with marbles on it, a flour relay, and many more exciting games.

"Sal! I'll rest first!" Pamitku to Salma who is watching the flour relay match.

I approached Astri who was sitting on the porch of the classroom. He's not allowed to follow the game, too dangerous for his fetus. So he's the only one we're allowed to follow this morning.

"Capek Na?"

"As Capek! But exciting!"

Then we talk for a while, discussing unimportant things that finally discuss Rangga.

"Na, what do you think Rangga is?"

"You want an honest answer, what is a lie?"

"Honest!"

"OKAY. So in my eyes Rangga was a flat face, cold, rarely a smile, sometimes a sneeze, not a thank-you-

.."

"Sugly kok all the hell Na?!" Astri who did not accept cut off my words.

"I'm not done talking about As. But behind it all, Rangga was a reliable friend. He will also be a warm and cheerful figure when dealing with children. I'm sure he must love this kid" I said sincerely as I rubbed his stomach.

"Means I was right by accepting his proposal"

"O God As! You still doubt Rangga?" I don't believe it.

"It's not Na! I'm just still a little scared. What would her family say if she had a daughter-in-law like me" she lowered her head.

"Not the As! I know Rangga's parents. They are good people!. Rangga made a decision of this magnitude must have asked for the blessing of his parents" I clasped his fingers, wanted to give him a little calm.

"Yes Na. I believe"

"Drink first!" Just now we're talking, the guy's here.

Rangga gave a bottle of mineral water to Astri, with some bread as well.

"Capek?" Ask Astri.

"No. Just sit quietly what is tired? Bored of it" yes"

"Propay ya! Kan let the baby's grandpa not why-why" Rangga's own anxiety with Astri, so he ruffled Astri's hair.

So if they meet, their true nature comes out huh?

Not cold and stiff. It is far different when dealing with others.

"Ekhm! It's mosquito repellent!" My insinuation.

"There are envious people as it turns out! Let's go to the canteen!" Without further ado Rangga took Astri to the cafeteria.

Leave me alone!!!

You Rangga shucks!!!

It doesn't feel like the day has gone by. Students were lined up on the field to prepare for the home and the announcement of the winner of the race. And for the last part of the farewell, where I, Salma, Abdul and Rangga said farewell speeches to them. The worst part is when they crucify our hands. Some even cry, making us also moved.

"Sir, we're sorry if we've been wrong all this time. Or make Miss Ida hurt whether we intentionally or not!" I said while hugging Mother Ida.

Even the event can not be avoided.

"Yes Na! Ma'am also apologise! But even though you guys aren't here, we shouldn't break up? Call once!"

"Yes mbak!" Salma apparently spread herself to me and Mother Ida.

The event continued with shaking hands with the other teachers. Say an apology and thank you for the knowledge and experience they provide.

"Beautiful sister! This is how you want to leave Ara?" Ara who was out of nowhere suddenly hugged me.

"Yes. Brother has to go home, baby" I tried to give understanding to him.

Uh, he didn't even cry.

And along with that Mas Pandu came as usual to pick up Ara.

"Loh, Ara why cry?" Mas Pandu aligned his body with Ara.

"Beautiful sister! Hicks! Want to leave Ara!" Hearing the words from Ara, Mas Pandu's eyes were like asking for an explanation.

"Today is the last day I taught here, about one week more me and my friends have returned to campus" apparently Mas Pandu also looks shocked.

"I think you're still here for a long time, you're not going home soon"

"Hehehe.. yes mas!"

"You come with me and Ara goes home how does Na? There's something I want to talk about"

What do you want to say about Mas Pandu?

Before deciding, I asked Salma for an opinion first. And he agreed. On the condition of Mas Pandu who drove me home.

"May you, but I'll be escorted home, right?" Instead of answering, Mas Pandu laughed.

"Kok laugh?"

"Yes obviously Na you I'll take you home!" We got in the car too. Following Ara who had entered first.

When I opened the back door, Mas Pandu interrupted me.

"Sit in front of Na"

"Yes mas"

In the car, if usually Ara is always noisy now the situation becomes quiet. He was asleep apparently. Must be tired after doing this. Things got awkward between me and Mas Pandu.

"Yes!"

"Yes?"

"duh. How do you say it? I'm confused where to start" anyway. Are you confused, especially me?

"Turn out the point" I suggested.

Deg.

Is this really Mas Pandu love with me?

"Pandu's not kidding, is he?"

"I'm serious Na. Seriously, I plan to propose to you. In front of your parents directly"

"What?!!" I immediately shut my mouth tightly, afraid that Ara would wake up.

"But first I ask your opinion now. I'm not looking for Na's boyfriend, I'm looking for a life partner. The wife who will accompany me to live. Will you Na?"

I'm still quiet.

Digesting word by word that Mas Pandu said. I'm still stunned. Either this is a dream or real.

"I'm sorry if I proposed to you in the car. I have not yet prepared a ring. But if you accept, I'll prepare his official application" hmm.. Mas Pandu is very similar in his words.

"Sorry mas! I can't"

"Why Na?"

"I'm not ready yet! After all, there is a name already in my heart. And my feelings for Mas Pandu were only about brother and sister, nothing more" this time I said honestly about my feelings.

Although painful, Mas Pandu still accepted my refusal with a chest of air. The proof is that I'm still in this car. Not kicked out.

The ringing sound of the phone breaks the awkwardness created. While driving, Mas Pandu's hand picked up the phone. Since it was not in accordance with safety procedures, I finally held the phone while hardening the volume.

"Hello?"

"Hello Guide! You go home soon, son! Your father relapsed again, now in the hospital!"

"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi roji'un" lirihku.

"Yes mom. It's Pandu again on the road, just a little bit more to get there" after which Mas Pandu said his greetings, and the connection was cut off.

"I'm down here aja mas, later if you take me home first"

"No Na, I'll take you home first!" Mas Pandu is still firm with his opinion.

"No need for me! I can go home by myself, I'll call my friend to pick me up"

Mas Pandu seemed to weigh my words. Then the car started to run slowly and finally stopped.

"Sorry, Na!"

"Yes mas! Titip greetings also for the mother later, hopefully the father will recover quickly"

"Yes"

I started getting out of the car, but Mas Pandu called my name which made me turn around again.

"What mas?"

"Please rethink my proposal Na" duh. So more guilty gini same Mas Pandu. I rejected his proposal, it was bad news from his parents.

May he put his chest out.

"Yes" then the black car started leaving me alone.

It turns out that this is still in the village area. Not yet on the big road. In front of me was a large green rice field. Stretching wide like a giant carpet that cools the eyes.

I sat under the trees, enjoying the wind. While my hand typed a message to Salma to pick me up here. My legs are still tired to walk home so far.

The crane! The crane!

The sound of the bicycle bell made me take my eyes off.

Poh.

"Aliff?"

"Yes" he answered briefly as he parked his ontel bike

"Cock here?"

"Make you pick up"

"Who? Where is salma going? "

"Pity, he looks so tired"

Well this.

If only I hadn't known that you were Salma's equal. I must be jealous of Lif now!

Then he sat down beside me. Of course with the safe distance that is still created.

"Nlade!"

"Yes? Why Lif?" Masang face pretentious calm even though my heart from earlier dag dig dug not because.

"It used to be on the first day of MOS on campus, I accidentally saw a girl with a striking pink backpack. Contrast with the clothes worn in black and white. At that time I saw him saving a cat that had been hit by a motorcycle, he was carrying a cat while crying. Honestly, I'm starting to get interested in that girl. And start wondering, wondering what his name is"

Waitaminute! Waitaminute!

The girl in Alif's story just now looks like it's me. I still remember the day I saved Jimmy. Seeing the cat lying weakly on the asphalt made my heart pity to the point of crying, and I finally decided to bring the cat home and take care of it.

"After that day I did not see him again. From there I thought maybe he wasn't a faculty member with me. But when I visited Salma, I saw the girl in the cafeteria. Apparently the girl's a faculty member with Salma"

Nah. A faculty with Salma.

The more I get here the more GR. I wish that girl was me.

"And the girl who secretly stole my attention was you Na. Her name is Nala Ayu Kinanti"

Aye! Thatme!

So Alif's been watching me all this time? And I didn't know all along!

"Na. I'm not like Mas Pandu who can sing you a romantic song, or Radit who brings you flowers and chocolates, let alone like Rangga who dares to propose to the woman he loves. I can only say Na, that I have fallen in your love. I just want to say that, there's no need for you to answer Na"

The test!

Alif has the same feelings as me.

My love is avenged!

The attention he had been giving was reasonable.

I still didn't expect. But before Alif knew, I hurriedly wiped away these happy tears.

"Na, after graduation, I'm leaving. For two years I will focus on taking care of my father's business in Australia. But after that, God willing if I'm still given a chance. I'll ask you"

The test!

The test!

The test!

The tears that I had wiped out now came out again. I'm rattled. Are these tears happy or sad?

Happy to know that Alif will ask me, and sad to know that we will be separated by distance and time.

"Not crying! Let's go!"

In silence we go home. I was silent because I was still too surprised by Alif's statement, and he was silent with his thoughts.

Is this the end?
