Emily just silently did not believe Lewis to say that he looked at the person he had considered as his best friend even though Lewis did not consider him anymore with teary eyes.

Lewis drives Emily out of her office because she gets carried away with the emotions that Emily has been doing for the past few days, from her missing project used by her uncle Emily to seeing Callista bleed from her drive. Without asking or listening to Emily Lewis' explanation has been ignited emotions that have peaked.
