Unleashed Power

Unleashed Power
Chapter 30

Mage stared at the astonished Gerald who came alone. She told him and Lacy to meet them. The deadline for their work is not much. They had to strategize so that the protectors belonging to their group would not be destroyed.

"Where's Lacy?" ask Emil.

Gerald just shrugged his shoulders like he didn't care. The young man grumbled while massaging his head.

"Don't know. My head hurts, don't talk to me first. Just discuss what you want to discuss, I'll just listen here" Gerald said.

Mage sighed. He was getting used to his friend. His emotions can change at any time.

"W-Do you want some water?" bargain Cecilia while thrusting a bottle of mineral water on Gerald.

The young man accepted it with pleasure. He held it until half of the bottle was gone. Not to forget, Gerald thanked Cecilia.

A stupid smile began to be painted on Gerald's face. It seemed, she had already started to return to her cheerful self.

Mage shook his head. He really could not understand the brown-haired young man. However, he did not want to bother now. They still need to discuss strategy.

"As you know, the task this time is our test to get the mission in order to pass. All students must have known about this as well, whether it was from the words of a senior or from another teacher. In order to get rid of the competitors, it was possible that they would try to destroy the protectors belonging to other groups. So, anyone have a strategy for the protector to last up to a week?"

They're speechless. Their faces seemed to be thinking hard. Honestly, anyone wants to fail. After that difficult entrance examination, they would not likely just give up on the exam this time around.

"Why not set a trap around?" gerald's suggestion was perfunctory.

The young man was not interested in anything else. He just wanted to end their meeting and drink hot chocolate, and relax on his soft bed.

However, who would have thought that they were even interested in Gerald's idea. They remember Gerald fighting Lacy at the entrance exam, when Gerald set a trap on the arena floor to keep the girl locked up.

"Maybe it's a good idea. But I don't know how to set a trap. You knew?" ask Emil to Mao.

The girl shook her head. He turned his eyes to Ladon, but the young man also did not know how.

"Can you tell us how to set a trap that you mean Gerald?"

Gerald scratched his non-itchy head when he heard the question from the Mage. This is not what he wants. They should have underestimated the idea and moved on to another.

Gerald hesitantly said, "Eee~maybe..by making your magic flow on the ground?"

Honestly, Gerald didn't know how either. The thing he did during the entrance exam was spontaneity, or perhaps a coincidence. He was just casting a prison spell, but misdirected.

Keep rolling his eyes, looking for an excuse. Gerald expressed ideas that made no sense, but were trusted by his friends. It could be seen from Mao and Cecilia noting what was said by him.

After Gerald finished saying nonsense, Mage clapped his hands and told each group to return to their respective protector spots.

One by one they started to leave. Gerald was still dumbfounded, trying to understand the situation this time. He asked inwardly, what does it say make sense? To be honest, he himself did not think that it made sense. But why did they nod their heads as if they understood what he was talking about?

Gerald patted her cheek slowly. He didn't want to think of anything confusing anymore. If it continues, its head may explode.

As told by the Mage, Gerald returned to the hall to set a trap around him. However, just as he was about to reach the hall, he noticed a suspicious person was making a frown. I don't know what he's doing, but suddenly Gerald feels a lot of pain.

At first, when Arnold talked about the side effects of the destruction of a protector, Gerald was not so trusting. But, when he felt it himself, he understood it.

Gerald peeks, seeing the man suspected of having destroyed his protector and Lacy's. He saw very clearly that the person looked completely innocent. Laughing gleefully, he ran away from the scene.

With a weak move, Gerald went to the hall to see the situation. Arriving there, he had already seen their protective core shattered and left behind a yellow shard of glass.

Gerald was silent for a moment. He was so angry, but at himself. Because of her not-so-powerful self, her protector and Lacy's are destroyed. Because his command had many loopholes, that person could enter and destroy the core.

Gerald ruffled his hair in frustration. He almost shed tears. He felt like a burden to his friends.

The young man took a long breath. He's circling the hall. It's not something that has to be regretted for so long. He had to find a place to hide the point again.

Gerald stopped his steps. He remembered something that could help him. He had read a book in his library.

For a moment, he swallowed his saliva. Then, it says, "Thread Maker Activated: Tracer Thread,"

His magic light began to envelop his left hand. After that, two strands of yarn appeared, circling the hall.

Gerald waited for him quietly. He was trying to sense, which is a good place to store the core of the protector. However, instead of finding a good place, the young man instead sensed that there was someone hiding in the hall.

Gerald gulped his saliva roughly. He removed his thread magic, and set foot toward where the person was hiding.

Slowly, but surely he stepped his foot. Honestly, he was a little afraid to face that person, it could be that he was an intruder and had malicious intentions.

However, that thought seemed to be put aside by him. He was getting with the mysterious man. Quickly, Gerald opened the door of the room where he thought someone was hiding. However, no one was there. Just an empty room with strange paintings.

Gerald cring. He thought maybe this was because his magic wasn't very perfect, so he sensed things that weren't there.

The young man closed the door and left the empty room. But the feeling of someone is getting bigger.

Gerald entered deeper into the room and looked around. If it was a secret room, there must have been something like a button that could be pressed.

He wandered around the small room, but found nothing. Gerald was almost desperate. He knew someone was hiding there, but he couldn't find the door.

"Open sesame."

Gerald started saying nonsense. This is a magic school, surely the secret door also uses magic right? Her thought.

The young man was constantly saying words that he himself did not know meant, pointing at the strange paintings there. But, nothing happened.

Gerald began to sigh long. He said, "This is the last one, Secret Door Activated: Open."

Suddenly a rumbling sound began to be heard in Gerald's ears. The wall before him began to open and reveal a secret room. However, what made him more surprised was the appearance of a man who was seriously injured in it.

Gerald widened his eyes, he shouted softly calling out the man's name.

"The alven?"
