Lacy breathed. He felt guilty for Gerald. The young man had to make a new protector by himself, and he did not know about it. He became worried. Because he knew, if the core of the protector was destroyed, it would make the maker feel extreme pain.

The girl glanced at Gerald. He felt he had to apologize, but prestige.

"Do you want to keep going like that?" ask Mao suddenly.

Lacy's surprised. She blushed in shame because she was exposed by her own best friend. Stammering, he said, "What the hell? Why me?"

"You want to apologize to Gerald, right? Mending lakain now. Well~even though I knew he wouldn't take the trouble."

Lacy's speechless. Mao's words have a point. The young man never blamed Lacy. In fact, he would be happy if he could help her. The young man showed his interest in Lacy very clearly. He seems obsessed with her.

Lacy took a long breath. He swallowed back his intention to apologize to Gerald. It was better that he didn't deal any further with the young man. Otherwise, he would continue to feel guilty.

The girl stepped out her legs, placing herself beside her best friend. Listening to every crackle that came out of Levy's mouth. The woman talked about how great a magician who managed to find protector magic was. He went back to vilifying one nulla in front of the others.

Actually, Lacy really wanted to protest at the teacher. All the students in this school have passed exams that are quite difficult to get into. He couldn't tell them apart just because he didn't have magic.

Lacy used to hate narrow-minded people. Everyone here is the same, the only difference is their individual abilities. Not everyone who doesn't have magic is a weakling. A nulla and a wizard are both human.

"Alright, today's lesson, get here first. You can go."

Levy disbanded the class. The woman left them with hurried steps. It was like getting out of that room quickly. However, his steps were stopped due to being blocked by Arnold.

Levy clucked in annoyance. He almost cursed the man, if Eden, the principal, did not appear from behind Arnold.

Levy smiled awkwardly. He really wanted to quickly leave the room, but was confronted by his superior.

"Oh, that's fast. You're going to leave, Levy?" asked Eden in her friendly voice.

Levy nodded and replied in a voice that shook from nervousness.

Eden smiled. He continued, "Don't come out for a second. I'm here to tell you about this test. It's time the disciples found out about this."

All the students who had stood up, sat back down as soon as they saw their headmaster enter the room.

"Ehem~ how are all my students? I'd like to give you a little information about the second exam. Your assignment given by Levy's mother will be your second exam after the entrance exam."

"Maybe you all know this already. But, from the school side want to change the rules," continued Eden.

The atmosphere in the classroom became chaotic. Everyone asked what rules were being replaced by the school. Arnold knocked the table twice, telling them to stop talking.

Eden smiled and continued, "This protector's test won't last for a week. The high magicians are overwhelmed and need help from all the magic school students as soon as possible. Therefore, from now on this protector examination will turn into a survival test."

The disciples returned. Lacy fell silent, as did her group of friends.

"Please calm down" cried Arnold.

Eden resumed his explanation after all the disciples were silent. He said, "Each group has 4 protectors. The other group will destroy the protectors of the other group until they are all destroyed. If all the protectors from one group are exhausted, then the group is declared dead and automatically fails the graduation exam."

The atmosphere in the room turned silent. All that was heard was a gulp from them.

"Yes, maybe that's all from me. Happy testing. If anyone is injured please go directly to UKS. Remember, this is just a school survival test. I don't want to hear anyone die just because of this test. So, thank you."

Eden and Arnold walked out on their feet. Meanwhile, the students could only gawk at the message delivered by the headmaster at the end of the word.

And so did Gerald. He cursed in the heart. That means they are allowed to hurt each other. The young man glanced at his group of friends. They all looked pale, signaling they were afraid of the attacks of the other group.

Wh why? Because one way to eliminate the protector is to make the user unconscious. If it's another group, maybe they don't know who made the protector. But, for Gerald personally, it was clear that the one who made it was him.

Gerald could catch a glimpse of Lacy staring at him worriedly. It seemed that the girl was also aware that she was now in danger of being attacked by another group.

"Ha~ini will be a difficult test for me" complained Gerald.
