Uranium: The Jinxed Prince

Uranium: The Jinxed Prince
The Jinxed Prince 1's

The wind blows slowly, cradling the drowsiness settled in the netra. The full moon emitted a gentle light, no matter how dark clouds tried to mask its presence. Not many know, in a forest, tonight is different from the previous nights. The night that should be passed peacefully, turned into a place of delivery of souls from bodies scattered in a pool of red to hell.

Sparks of blood spread out along with the sounds of explosions that once again sounded, adorning the leaves and trunks of trees in an abstract manner. Droplets upon droplets of red liquid dripped onto the ground, flowing from the arm of a young man still standing there. With the same arm and gasping breath, the young man again blasted the white-colored magic ball to the side...

Duars!

...and a speck of sticky red liquid re-attached under his right eye.

Chilly. In the middle of the sea of lifeless bodies and the thick rancid smell that pierced the smell, the young man could feel something soft and cold landing on his skin. A pair of sky-blue eyeballs that were now shadowing him looked up, staring at the snowflakes that were falling coloring the night. The wind blew playing his short silvery hair, also caressing the skin as pale as snow he was staring at.

Apparently winter had come again, the inner youth.

The young man raised his hand, allowed a speck of snow to land and disappeared without a trace there. The young man felt like he was looking at himself. Unknown and unremembered, that is the fate of the fourth prince of this kingdom.

The wind again blew, accompanying the blue-eyed young man to witness the first snow of the year.

***

Isaac Plutonium.

Even just stepping in was enough for the blond-haired young man to show his wibow, making every head he passed bow and salute.

“Good morning, Mr. Young Marquess.”

“How are you, Young Marquess Lord?”

“May Lionheart's blessings always accompany Young Marquess!”

He was only 20 years old, but the respect he received was on par with the princes of this kingdom.

“Marquess Young Isaac Plutonium has arrived!” the cry of a bodyguard accompanied the arrival of the young man in a spacious room containing 3 thrones belonging to 3 main pillars of this kingdom—raja, empress, and crown prince. The young man stepped confidently to where the soft red carpet led, then knelt down and saluted, “Greetings to His Majesty King Harvey I and His Highness the First Prince.”

A man sitting on the highest throne nodded as he raised his hand, a sign of receiving the greeting Isaac gave. “Thanks to your head, Isaac Plutonium.”

Without a second thought the young man obeyed the king's orders. His pair of green eyeballs met another young man's brown bead sitting next to the king. The young man had short red hair that shone under the chandelier of the palace throne room. Clean skin and a well-built body like a noble. Proudly, the young man smiled towards Isaac. He was the first prince of the Lionheart Kingdom, Archie Frost Uranium.

It seems that now it is certain who will be appointed His Majesty as crown prince, inner Isaac is proud of the achievements of the friend.

“Isaac Plutonium, I don't want to take up too much of your time, so just get to the point: what do you know about the Count Oldenburgh family?”

Isaac nodded. “Your Majesty, if my limited knowledge is not wrong, the family of Count Oldenburgh is one of the noble families that plays an important role in the economy of this kingdom. I believe there is no one in Lionheart who does not know their meticulousness and shrewdness in doing business.”

“Your words are not wrong,” reply Harvey, “but maybe it's not too long.”

Recently, the Capital City was electrified with thousands of sheets of paper that were somehow scattered around every corner of the city. The papers read “Muinaru: The new dynasty that ruled Lionheart after Uranium”. Anyone who reads it immediately understands that this is a rebellion plan designed by a group, let alone “Muinaru” is a word that is compiled in contrast to “Uranium”.

“Yes, Your Grace. I heard they were mysterious people who planned a rebellion against the Uranium Dynasty.”

“You're right,” replied Archie, “but not just that. Recently my people got the information that behind ‘Muinaru’, there are several noble families involved, and one of them is the family of Count Oldenburgh.”

Isaac blinked, half in disbelief at the information he had just heard. Not only did the noble family play an important role in the economy of the kingdom, the family of Count Oldenburgh was also one of the followers of Archie, the first prince. How could the Count have staged a rebellion?

“Same as you, I initially did not believe it either,” after a few moments of silence, Archie continued, “therefore, today we call you, Isaac Plutonium, a, to give the mission ascertain whether the news I heard is true or not!” The prince who was predicted to most potentially get the position of crown prince ended his sentence firmly.

Isaac. “I am ready to accept the orders of His Majesty the King and His Highness the First Prince.”

Seeing the interaction of the two young men before him, Harvey could not help but smile. The 45-year-old man raised both corners of his lips proudly. "As long as there are you, I can calmly surrender the future of this kingdom" he said. "But before that, Isaac Plutonium, I had another mission for you."

"Please say it, Your Majesty."

Harvey was silent for a moment. The smile on his face faded a little. His brown bead stared at Isaac's loyal past-goal still kneeling down below. "Isaac Plutonium, you certainly still remember the Roldwix Forest, right?"

The pair of green netra that was still down was reflexively rounded.

“Overnight we got the information that there was a move from the Count Oldeburgh residence, and it led to the Arsenic Guild. According to our investigation, someone hired a large number of hitmen with the target being in the Roldwix.” Forest Harvey frowned, looking at Isaac seriously, “You know what this means, Isaac Plutonium?”

The Young Marquess tried to disguise her trembling hand by clenching it, looking down. “I understand, Your Majesty the King. I, Isaac Plutonium, received the order of His Majesty King Harvey I to investigate the movements of Count Oldenburgh in the Roldwix Forest!”

“Good, but I want you not to go to that forest, Isaac.” The blonde-haired youth reflex turned towards Archie who said so. The young man who had known Isaac and his family for 15 years smiled.

“I want your little sister to go there. If I don't remember wrongly, your sister is the same age as ‘dia’, right?” continued Harvey.

Deg. Cold sweat soaked Isaac's palm. The young man's breathing became a little irregular, but in the presence of the King and the First Prince, Isaac tried to control him. The young man fixed his expression and lowered his head, “Without the slightest intention of defying His Majesty's orders, I fear that my younger sister is less competent for this task. Moreover, his age is still very young and careless.”

“While so, isn't he still a Plutonium? In this kingdom, who would dare to doubt the loyalty and sword ability of the blood of the Marquess Plutonium, a direct descendant of the Hero and Great Swordsman Lucius Plutonium?”

Isaac fell silent. He did not want to overtly refuse the orders of the King and the First Prince, but at the same time he more than knew that he could not let his only sister go there, especially in that forest.

Noticing Isaac's concern, Archie sighed. “If you're worried about it, how about sending Duke Lawrence's son away with him? As I recall the three of you were close since childhood and as the only descendants of witches in Lionheart, it was more than enough to guarantee your sister's safety, right?”

Isaac fell silent, trying to digest Archie's sentence, then when his complicated thoughts met a bright spot, the right eyebrow of the future heir of the only marquess family in this kingdom lifted. “Your Highness the First Prince,” said, “previously please forgive me if I am wrong, but don't tell my own sister who has begged His Majesty to be given this task?”

In response to Isaac's question, Archie simply smiled—and that smile was more than enough to answer the young marquess' question.
