Uranium: The Jinxed Prince

Uranium: The Jinxed Prince
The Jinxed Prince 14's

"That's tired...."

With his strength left, Shawn glanced at the hard-earned floor he mopped. Of course the struggle of the prince is not easy to get to this point. After about 2 hours of washing the dishes, Shawn further wiped the windows—entah because he realized Shawn's 'gaptism', finally Hilda gave Shawn a worn cloth aged 10 years more for the young man to use. Then don't forget Hilda also gave a broom and mop to accompany Shawn's last job.

Though I still have to look for flowers, but now even have to work, he lamented inwardly.

Now after working for half a full day, the 'black' haired young man was finally able to sit in the corner of the room leaning against a wooden wall. Shawn can feel aching control of both feet and hands, as well as his neck and waist that seems to be broken if moved just a little. In the woods Shawn did clean the house, but not all he did in one day. Sometimes, in a week the only house in the middle of the forest was not cleaned at all.

But it's not because I'm lazy, I just forget.

"Well, I didn't expect anyone to clean better with conventional tools than magic tools." The voice of the woman who had just entered made Shawn turn his head. But not his words, but a glass of water in the hands of Hilda who first got the attention of Shawn. Seeing him, Hilda laughed a little. "This, it looks like Mr. is very tired, yes," Hilda said, bowing slightly and patting Shawn on the shoulder.

Again instead of being happy, there is a bit of an odd feeling of seeing a glass filled with clean water thrust at him for free. From he was a child until he was a teenager, only Eloise—his maiden— was willing to give Shawn such kindness. The only person who can make the prince's lips expand when he receives it.

However, despite being enveloped in a bit of an odd taste, somehow Shawn can feel a bit of the feeling he felt first to Eloise. Just because of a glass of water, Shawn seemed to be able to feel the warmth that tickled the chest, especially when the glasses woman's smile bounced on her 'red' bead'. Though the woman was very different from Eloise, both from the voice, tone of speech, and appearance.  But every time Hilda patted him on the shoulder, every soft voice of Hilda tried to comfort him, Shawn felt tight.

"Thank you," Shawn said after a long silence and received the proffered glass. Again Hilda just smiled to see Shawn quickly downing the glass until it ran out.

"The whole town of Spleen was wiped out by a white tiger," inexplicably Raisa's voice rang in Hilda's mind.

Suddenly without further ado the green-haired lady by the boat sat right next to Shawn and sighed rudely, making the young man quite surprised. The pair of red beads silently glanced at Hilda, inwardly wondering why she was sitting next to him.

"I'm sorry that my question offended you before, but after what happened to your parents, do you still believe in myths?"

Deg.

With just one last word Hilda spoke, Shawn's mind immediately roamed wildly through the memories of life stored in her memories. Starting from the miserable life in the Black Palace, every right of his being snatched away as if that was the payment from him was still left alive, every 'monster' scorn and call addressed to him, he said, also the incident that befell a small child in the Spleen City.

Ah, actually Shawn himself had wondered why he was so worried about Rein and why he still let the boy be with him despite knowing it was troublesome. Perhaps, because the child was experiencing the same thing as himself.

"No, but there's one myth I believe in so much" Shawn said with a piercing look, whether addressed to whom, "'Cats and Rats'."

Hilda blinked, frowning. "Isn't the myth simply that in a race, Rats cheat on Cats so Cats can't be winners. Therefore, until now cats have always hunted rats because of the grudge of cheating their ancestors did."

"True," Shawn nodded, "doesn't the myth mean that any ill-treatment is appropriate?"

Spontaneous Hilda gulps her saliva. Although Shawn spoke in a flat tone, but Hilda could feel that Shawn must have held a grudge against someone who was bad to him. Ah, on second thought, that explains Shawn's rather closed-minded manner of speaking and attitude.

But still, it was no excuse to live with just being fixated on vengeance, inner Hilda while clenching her hands. A pair of bright green beads like leaves in the spring glanced at the prince with the corner of his eye, "In my opinion, rather than thinking of a reply to someone who was bad, he said, wouldn't it mean more to think of the precious people who are good to us?" he said unconsciously.

Once again, Hilda's words successfully make Shawn freeze. After a moment of silence, the corner of the young man's lips lifted, "Unfortunately, such a good person has long since died."

Hearing Shawn's words, Hilda flinched. In his heart he cursed himself for opening the old wounds of the young man next to him. "M-even so, don't you still have Rein, Master's sister?"

Shawn laughed bitterly. He did not even know what to say in response to Hilda's words just now. Finally, the young man decided to stand up and put the equipment he used in the closet not far from there. The pair of red and green beads met again when Shawn turned his head one last time before turning towards the stairs.

"Sister!" Shawn's reflex turned to the boy who suddenly hugged him from behind. "Look, I got a job at a bookstore near here and this is my first paycheck!" rein said with both corners of the lips fully raised.

For a moment Shawn was silent, staring at Rein who had just arrived in a confused overcoat of greatness. Does this kid still want to play again? inner Shawn when they were not far from the door frame of the room where Hilda is still. All right, then what now should I praise him for?

After thinking for a while, hesitantly Shawn placed his hand on the top of the black-haired head, then rubbed it gently. "Good work," he said briefly, "use it to pay for lodging."

"No need to worry," Rein replied with a chuckle, "just relax, I've already paid our lodging fee for a week. Actually I've been home since then, but since Miss Beautiful says Sister is still working, I decided to wait for Brother to finish...."

Shawn nodded, "So it seems." Then he knelt down, pressed his lips right into the boy's ear, "So I can punish you for having dared to 'trapped me', right?"

Shaun....

"S-I don't understand what you mean sir..," Rein said as much as possible to make his gaze not meet Shawn's eyes, even to reduce Shawn's anger the boy returned to call him respectfully. But now Shawn clasped the boy's shoulder tightly, making him no longer able to escape. "Don't you know how tired I've been all day cleaning up an inn this big?" ask Shawn with emphasis.

Rein gulped, trying to avoid the intimidating look that seemed to be about to tear himself apart. "S-I work hard too, really.... After all it's the only way we can stay here."

"I know, but you can talk to me about it, not set me up."

Quickly Rein nodded. "I'm sorry, sir. I'll talk about it all right next time."

Looking at Rein's completely terrified expression, Shawn finally could only sigh and let go of his grasp before tears completely fell free from the boy's net. Shawn took a small brown cloth bag from Rein's hand and opened the purple rope that bound him. There were several pieces of gold coins, 1 coin costing 1,000 Joules. So there are at least 40,000 Joules in the bag, more than enough to buy one kid's coat.

Instead of what, Shawn just wasn't calm because the boy was wandering to and fro in thin hospital pajamas. The coat he could use was just the oversized coat Shawn gave him yesterday.

"Although I'm still upset, but it's true that I owe you a debt of gratitude" Shawn said, handing Rein a bag of money back, "therefore, he said, as a gift buy a coat that fits your body. You must know better where to buy that coat than I do, so go yourself." Even saying so, Shawn turned back and continued his steps up the stairs.

For a moment, Rein could only be dumbstruck while looking at the 'brother' figure away. He looked at the brown bag in his hand. Although the pouch was the same as the pouch he held before, but somehow subconsciously the corner of his lips lifted when he looked at it. "Looky Miss, how much does a coat cost in this town?"

"Eh?" surprised Hilda who did not think she was caught eavesdropping—but she could not hear from the part since Shawn knelt. Smiling awkwardly the woman stepped out of the door frame and approached Rein, "If it were for Rein, maybe around 25,000 Joules would be enough."

Rein nodded in understanding, then turned around and looked at Hilda straight, "If the coat is for Big Brother, how much would it cost?"

Hilda was stunned, her heart was filled to see the sincerity of the 7-year-old boy before her. The woman then crouched down and pinched Rein's chewy cheeks, making the child wriggle. "Since I first met, I knew, but Rein was really cute!" said Hilda who was already completely under the control of Rein's priesthood.

"Gorgeous Miss., please stop..."

Taps. "Just pick a coat for Rein and brother Rein. If Rein's money is lacking, let this Beautiful Miss pay for it!" hilda said confidently as she placed her hand on Rein's head.

Yes, initially Hilda hoped these two 'free guests' would not stay at her inn until 3 months. But now the woman hopes that at least the two people stay here for at least 3 months. Either others consider it sympathy or foolishness, but for now the woman only hopes she can lighten their burdens a little, Shawn and Rein, 'brothers' malang certainly has a life story that is not easy.

Moreover, that was the initial essence of the establishment of the Moonlight Inn, providing a resting place for those who are tired or lost.
