The Impossible Offer

Annabelle was shocked to see her body lying on top of a gurney with various medical devices attached to her body. There is even a bandage wrap with betadine liquid that seeps in between. But there was no pain in his body.

The memory of the accident that had just befallen her made Annabelle's heart anxious. He tries to touch a nurse who is writing on a medical resume board but always fails.

Annabelle wanted to scream but her voice stuck to her throat. Does this mean he's dead ? But when looking at the monitor connected to the tools on his body it is seen that his heartbeat is still there even though it is weak.

Annabelle was looking for her parents who she was sure must be outside, but again her hands could not touch the door handle even her body like falling through the door leaf.

Annabelle wakes up and her ears catch the sound of Mama Mira's crying. His eyes were soft on his parents and Alden's parents, who were not far from the ICU door. Annabelle tried to shout to tell her whereabouts near them, but let alone hear, realizing that Annabelle was not standing there either.

Annabelle frowned as she saw Alden coming out of the elevator followed by Raka. A thin smile on Belle's lips, Alden's fine condition made him feel relieved.

”Belle critical, Al. Commas. Medically difficult to regain consciousness,” mommy Lanny approached the princess who stood a little far away, staring intently at Rano and Mira who were holding back their grief.

“Karma so quickly came at his evil intentions. Usually people who are sneaky hard to die,” Alden said with a cynical smile.

“Alden !” snapped Lanny's mommy while tightening her handrails on Alden's arm.

Papa Rano himself was surprised to hear Alden's words and had to look at his employer's son with a difficult look to describe.

“I know millions of apologies will not erase the fault of Belle,” papa Rano walked closer to Alden. “I promise I will take my children and wife away from the family of Young Master and swear I will not let my one child interfere with the family life Hutama.”

”Rano !” daddy Wira was surprised to hear the words of papa Rano who has been his best friend since he was in Junior High School.

“But I beg Young master, I beg you,” papa Rano clenched his hands in front of his face and pleaded with Alden. “Please let the doctor provide treatment for Belle until the last point in this hospital. The doctor said Belle's condition was not possible to be moved to a hospital far from here. His condition is vulnerable and unlikely to go through a long journey in an ambulance. I really beg the mercy of young master at this time.”

”Give us the generosity to let Belle here first, Young master,” mama Mira also approached and spoke with eye linangan. His hands clenched together and begged Alden..

”Don't be like this Mira,” mommy Lanny directly hugged mama Mira. “No need for you to beg this, Alden will not expel Belle before he realizes.”

Alden grunts resentfully at the defense of Lanny's mommy. In Alden's eyes, his parents' affection for Belle was too excessive.

“Mr Alden,” a nurse called Alden and asked him to enter a room.

The doctor in the ER who asked him to go up to the 2nd floor, all of them wanted to wait for Sarah who was still in the action room on the same floor.

Annabelle's heart ached at Alden's treatment and speech to her parents, wanting to scream and cry, but Annabelle could only look at her with a sad face.

“Hard to hate that guy ?”

Annabelle was shocked when she heard the voice of a woman standing next to her.

“Mother can see me ?” annabelle's forehead wrinkled at the middle-aged woman who looked still beautiful and tall dressed in white.

“Of course,” the woman laughed without looking at Annabelle until she could not see what she looked like clearly, just from the side.

“Your incredible sacrifice of love makes the Owner of Life kind to you. Your soul can return to your fan body in the next 100 days.”

“Really ?” annabelle's eyes immediately sparkled.

“But there are definitely conditions.”

“If indeed I can return alive, I will take my parents away from the Hutama family until they will no longer be hurt by the arrogant man.”

“The arrogant man you love is half dead,” the woman said with a laugh. “Even when he curses your parents, your heart hurts, but it can't make you hate him. By volunteering you risk losing your life for a love that was never considered by her.”

Annabelle smiled bitterly. What the woman beside him said was true. It was so painful to see Alden treating his parents like this that he made his father and mother beg. But just to be sick, Annabelle can't bring hate to Alden.

“What should I do to come back to life ?” asked Annabelle while looking at her parents who were still talking to the master and mistress of Hutama.

“Make Alden love you too.”

“Very impossible,” Annabelle laughs bitterly. “Alden's hatred for me is ingrained in his heart even in every breath. How could it make her fall in love with me ?”

“Nothing is impossible as long as humans do it sincerely to achieve a good goal.”

Annabelle breathed. If given a chance to live again, Annabelle will make Alden apologize to his parents and clear his name and cut ties with the Hutama family.

“You forgot to add your last intention,” said the woman as if she could read Annabelle's mind and mind.

“You don't want Alden in the hands of his future wife. You still want to make Alden part with the woman so that Alden's life can be safer.”

“Looks like I can't lie to Mom,” Annabelle laughs softly.

“How can I make Alden fall in love with me if my condition is what it is now ? Make him fall in love with someone who looks difficult, let alone make him care about an invisible soul.”

“But still women too, right,” Annabelle said with a chuckle.

“It turns out your brain shifted a little because it was thrown out,” the woman snorted while looking the other way.

“Sorry, I'm kidding. It seems like my heart is too painful but it cannot shed tears. So rather than feeling depressed, it feels better to entertain yourself.”

There was no answer just the grunts heard from the woman earlier hearing Annabelle laughing softly.

“Then whose body can I borrow ?”

Their conversation was interrupted when they heard the sound of the gurney being pushed from the opposite direction to the ICU chamber.

“Sarah,” Alden's voice made Annabelle turn and turn around following Alden's movement who rushed to Sarah's gurney who was taken to the elevator.

“Your soul will borrow her body,” the woman said as she glanced at Sarah lying on top of the gurney and stopped right in front of them.

“Serious ?” Annabelle stared at Sarah's body. “Making Alden love Sarah is easy, but loving Annabelle as Sarah is very, very impossible.”

“Cckkk has not been up to 1 hour you have forgotten what I said about the impossible and not impossible in human life.”

“If I can't make Alden fall in love with Annabelle in 100 days.”.

“Too many questions,” grouse the woman. “You just need to answer want or not to accept this opportunity and save all your questions. Human life is already outlined by the Owner, but how the color of his life is determined by the efforts of man himself.”

“I'll take this opportunity,” Annabelle said as she turned to the woman who still hasn't shown her face.

“Somehow it ends, I will try my best,” Annabelle said.

“Basic slave love !” the woman returned. “Can't your reason for taking this opportunity for your own good not for that heartless man.”

Annabelle's eyes widened. It seemed that the woman next to him was not an ordinary spirit as it could read her heart.

“Remember only 100 days can not be less or more !” firmly that woman.

“Did today already start countdown ?”

“Since the woman opened her eyes, your hourglass started walking and counting down.”

“What..”

“I told you to save all your questions and find the answers yourself when your soul dwells in the body of the woman.”

“One last question, I beg you,” Annabelle clenched her hands making the woman delay her steps about to leave her.

“Why make Alden fall in love so I can live ? Is it not enough to just prove myself innocent?”

“That's two questions !” decak the woman in an annoyed tone.

“You have given life to Alden with your love because it is only Alden's love that can bring you back to life. Sincere love from Alden is not just a word in the mouth.”

Annabelle had not yet spoken, the woman had already disappeared from her sight.

Annabelle sighed, looking at Alden who looked worriedly following Sarah's gurney into the elevator to a regular inpatient room. Raka is still loyal to accompany the boss and his best friend.

Alden was completely unconcerned about Annabelle's critical condition. Alden refuses Lanny's mommy's request that her son swipe over Annabelle while lying in the ICU room.

Annabelle's eyes again looked at her parents who were still hit with her condition, which was partly assisted by machines.

“You can definitely Belle !” Annabelle gave herself a boost. “Any occasion in life must be tried, whatever the result will be.”
