Chapter 24

Eva sits on the damp floor in Burhan's iron bars. In the prison that lined up so many that Eva was locked in the prison at the very end. The cell next to it was empty but a few minutes later someone was forcibly pushed into the cell.

"Welcome back to the castle of the cockroaches! hahaa." One of the men who brought the prisoner.

The prisoner stood still, his hands clenched tightly. Eva's stomach felt nauseous her chest began to clench that feeling back again. Eva clutched the damp floor beneath her holding back the mixed feeling of suddenly attacking her.

Long time the prisoner just stood still staring at the cell door and then shortly afterwards he walked and sat in the corner of his cell. The dark conditions made Eva unable to see clearly the prisoner's face. It's the second night Eva's in the cell and tonight Eva decides to leave.

THE CREK!.

The cell door opened, a small flashlight illuminated the holding cell next to Eva.

"You're all right? here I bring you dinner." Sarah handed a tray of food to the prisoner who had been motionless.

"Hotaru's..." Sarah tried to grab Hotaru's hands that quickly pushed aside.

"Nobody will let someone he loves suffer." Lirih Hotaru was full of emphasis.

"I'm sorry Hotaru, I can't do anything to get you out of here and I don't want you to leave me either." Hotaru smiled cynically.

"I was expecting, get out!." Hotaru.

"Hotaru's..." Whining Sarah.

"Get out!." Hotaru stared intently at Sarah's eyes, freaking her out. Sarah slowly leaves Hotaru alone in the dark cell.

The state of the dungeon began to return silent, the feeling that hit Eva increasingly disappeared.

THE CRUTCHES!

Eva's cell door that was now open, the bright light from the flashlight in Burhan's hand made Eva squint.

"Gue asked me again. Who told you to come in here?!." Eva fluttered in her place.

"Lo bud*g yeah! who told you to come in here beg*!." Eva remained silent.

"Based on a crazy chick! don't feed him until he opens his mouth!." Burhan ordered his men.

"Good boss." They left the prison which was dark and silent.

Who should be*? I what lo? if you do not open your mouth you can not be fed, it is said Eva mimicked Burhan's way of speaking.

"Eat." Hotaru thrust a large bread into Eva's cell.

"It's non-toxic, I can assure you." Hotaru took her sentence after a long time of no reply from Eva.

Eva approached the edge of the cell, eroding the distance between the two of them and sat down next to Hotaru's cell. They sit next to blocked cells that have been rusted. Eva receives the bread she immediately devours and Eva realizes that she is starving.

"How did you get caught, just to the best of your ability?." Hotaru said flatly. Eva smiled slightly.

"I'm not that stupid to get caught by them." Eva chews her bread back.

"Then?." Hotaru stared at the darkness of the prison that locked her up.

"I deliberately didn't fight back so that they would arrest me and bring me here, I guess right here there must be a sad prison." Eva's eyes closed in silence.

Flashbacks.

After exiting the disheveled man's room Eva ran towards the dark passageway that caught her attention, Eva stepped more carefully her sharp eyes working as sensors. This very quiet passageway Eva passed through two doors on the right and left Eva steps stopped at a fork in the hallway she close her body to the side of the wall slightly stuck her head to see something in front there. On the left is a black door and on the right is an iron door Eva decided to check the iron door first. Eva's eyeballs move in search of cctv cameras that may be hidden.

No, they were too confident thinking there could not be any intruders entering their headquarters so they took security lightly, not for a big crime like this they were too rash, inner Eva started running towards the iron door.

Locked, the inner Eva saw the door with a padlock that was equipped with a password. Eva again made sure no one was around and quickly grabbed a glove from one of her pockets and put on the glove to keep her fingerprints from being left behind.

Eva's right hand held the padlock and examined it first Eva was very focused with the padlock in front of her. Eva's blue eyes catch something that might be the key to unlocking the padlock. Eva's fingers moved to press the numbers randomly.

CLICKS!.

The padlock was open but inside the padlock there was still another padlock with a smaller size Eva caught a glimpse of the padlock and then took a small needle that was not smeared with a certain liquid, insert the needle into the padlock hole with twice the padlock movement is open. Eva immediately opened the iron door.

Their password was too simple, but breaking it felt pleasant, the inner Eva corner of her lips slightly raised.

Behind the iron door the light was very bright it took a few seconds for Eva's pupils to adjust the ambient light. There was a large, long white table in the middle of the room with three large lamps on it. Eva returned to the view.

Various kinds of medical devices were there from syringes to Eva's surgical instruments approached the tools his footsteps around the box room.

They're taking these organs right here, Eva's inner. Eva's steps stopped on one of the walls with many medium-sized box doors, smelling a rancid smell from inside the cabinets. Eva's heart was pounding with blue eyes trembling at the row of cabinets her stomach was stirring her throat choked.

Should I open it?, Eva's inner hand outstretched about to grab the handle of the closet, Eva's heartbeat racing even faster. Although I already knew what was behind this closet, Eva's inner flail. Eva swallowed her saliva. Eva's hand was already grasping the handle of the closet pulling her a little.

BRAK!.

DOR'S!.

Eva froze as soon as she heard a commotion outside the door, she immediately moved her hand away from the closet, moving quickly into the glass room next to her.

"FIND HIM!. Otherwise, this bullet will pierce your head!." The voice that Eva recognized.

"B ba is good. Boss!." Answer one of them.

Taps! taps! taps! sounding a step away, Eva sharpened her hearing to make sure they were gone. The sharp smell of medicine gushed inside the glass room.

What else is this?, inner Eva.

Again, the glass chamber contained several small tubes filled with liquid of various colors Eva covered her nose while approaching the tubes. Eva's hand held up one of the tubes slightly wiggling the dark green viscous liquid moving inside the tube, Eva's eyes narrowed.

"Toxic." Ogre Eva.

Eva puts the tube into place and takes the other tube, Eva enjoys checking each tube there.

They wanted to make a poison that medical devices could not detect and did not smell apparently, but it seemed like they failed to prove with all these facts, another story if I did, the inner Eva smiled.

Stupid, what are you doing Eva! you're wasting your time, Eva's mind immediately came out of that glass room. Eva glanced at the crackle of the closet she was about to open taking a deep breath.

May you calm down, Eva said in her heart.

Eva was on standby to open a small iron door to ensure safety and continued her search. Eva finds a large safe behind a black door with a password-breaking tool to open it, Eva immediately leaves the place after finding out the contents of the barbed which is nothing but a pile of money. Every room Eva entered, small and stuffy rooms that were confirmed to be a bed of children that Eva met on the lower floor did not escape Eva's observation.

The sunlight from outside did not penetrate the headquarters in the least, except for the room containing the forbidden herbs. Last night as Eva entered the rooms where the children were sleeping Eva also checked every one of their faces somehow none of their faces convinced Eva with the person she was search for. So Eva decides to let them catch her pretending to be a hunch prisoner Eva says that there's a room she hasn't entered.

And true, when Eva shows herself they immediately capture and report it to their young boss, Eva is dragged down the secret staircase to the dungeon and put her in the prison without the light.

"You must have searched for something so precious that you decided to look for it in the dungeon." Silently, Eva did not answer Hotaru.

"You're their prisoner?." Ask Eva back. Hotaru nodded slowly which was clearly invisible to Eva.

"How long?." Eva guesses that all the children here are Burhan's captives and Sarah is no exception Hotaru.

"Ten years, maybe." Answer Hotaru flat.

"Hm..? too long ago, you weren't trying to escape?."

"Of course I've done it a hundred times but they can still catch me back." Hotaru let out a sigh of annoyance in light of her fuzzy experiments.

"How can it?." Eva could not believe how out of hundreds of experiments nothing worked.

"Because I can't get out of the woods out there is too vast and complicated."

Eva can understand, just try if the idea of climbing a tree is unthinkable by her, Eva would need more time to find this place.

"You like that girl?." Eva's question shocked Hotaru.

"Sarah mean? than I like it better you kill me." Eva laughed at Hotaru's reply.

"Don't I look like a killer?." Eva asked disgustedly funny at once, there were people who asked her to kill.

"They just think of me as a business tool as well as their tool for conducting various experiments." Hotaru is serious.

"What experiment?." Eva was interested in this.

"Make poison." Eva looked at the cell next to her, so you were involved in the experiment inside that glass room, the inner Eva. Hotaru tried to see the girl next to her clearly but the darkness made her efforts in vain.

"Aren't you afraid of being here?." Hotaru was surprised that there was a girl alone in the dark and stuffy prison but was calm.

"Fear, first. You?." Strange girl, inner Hotaru.

"I prefer light to dark. My greatest desire right now is to see the sunlight again." Hotaru looked up her head at the ceiling of the prison.

"Come with me." Ogre Eva.

"Hahaha come with you and get rattled by them and die that ridiculous? hahaa." This really weird chick, inner Hotaru.

"You don't have to die the silly most ganged up until the battered continues to be locked up again here." Said Eva.

"Haha." They both laughed together.

"Oh don't forget after that I die slowly and rot here."

"You forgot something."

"What?." Ask Hotaru.

"Your bodies will be mobbed by rats so they don't bother burying you." The laughter of the two of them echoed throughout the dungeon.

"Hahaha how sorry my corpse is." Hotaru said in her laughter.

"Eat a lot we're going to take an exhausting journey." Eva's orders make Hotaru's laughter disappear.

"Just twelve o'clock tonight we give them a surprise, you can defend yourself right?."

"What do you want to do?." Hotaru's asking doesn't believe her hearing.

"I'm tired, I'm going to sleep for a while, wake me up at twelve." Any girl, inner Hotaru.

Eva pulls the logo on her right side, there is a small hidden pouch. Eva reached into the sac and pulled out a round thin object extending it to the cell beside her.

"Here, let you know what time it is." Hotaru fingered the cell looking for what Eva meant. His hand hit Eva's hand and found the round thin object and took it from Eva's hand.

"What is this?." Hotaru asked in wonder, how could this thing show a clock in such a dark state.

"Tap twice later also appears, already I want to sleep do not forget to wake me." Eva leaned her back against the cold wall behind her preparing to sleep in a sitting position.

Hotaru tried to knock the thing on her hand twice. Four digit numbers appear on the screen in green indicating what time it is. Hotaru was amazed by the thing she was holding.

"There is only one in the world." Eva who has not slept.

"Why?." Hotaru's gaze turned to the cell next to her.

"Because I made it." Hotaru widened her eyes in surprise. Suddenly Hotaru remembered something.

"What about what you're looking for?." Ask Hotaru.

"Who are you looking for? maybe I can help." Tawar Hotaru's.

Now Eva and Hotaru are settling down in one of the quiet alleys. It turns out that Hotaru actually woke Eva up at exactly twelve. Eva easily opened the prison cell door using the hairpin she was wearing. Their security is very weak.

"Why do you want to come with me?." Lirih Eva in the middle of their escape mission.

"I was wondering why not just try it, if later I was caught most also dead rotting in prison." Unconsciously Eva smiled at Hotaru's reply.

Does he really want to die? the answer felt like death wasn't a bad thing, Inner Eva.

"Where are we going now?." Hotaru's question was answered when Eva entered the cooling room. Eva retrieves her belongings she had left before handing herself in for arrest, just in case she is later searched.

"Fire dicks, needles, what's this all about?." Eva held out one match and several tens of needles.

"You can throw right, right?." Ask Eva.

"Consideration! one prisoner and an intruder have escaped. Hope everyone's on guard at each other's block." The announcement was heard from loudspeakers installed in every corner of the room. Alarm alarms echoed everywhere.

"We've been found out." Said Hotaru staring at Eva, they were smiling at each other widely.
