CHAPTERS 1. A Short History of Yanzhie & Niangxi

The Kingdom of Yanzhie and the Kingdom of Niangxi are two adjacent kingdoms. The two countries have been hostile since the beginning as they fight over an old town of Yichan near the Yanshan border.

A dozen years ago His Highness Yan Yue, the king of Yanzhie had now risked his life with Zhao Juren to defend the territory of the city where the old Yichan was located.

This old town of Yichan has a long story in the past of keeping many secrets that are the forerunner of both countries. The division of a great state originated in this old city, when a general tried to overthrow his king.

Years of war and to settle the dispute between the two brothers and to end the war that never ended the bold steps taken to divide the two territories controlled by each leader. The general who was also the half-brother of the king in the first generation. When the territory was divided, the two new kings agreed with their respective policies. But the civil war never really ended. They are still fighting over one of the most sacred areas, an old city, where the country was first founded.

An old town in the Yanshan Mountains, which is the city of Yichan. The old city was originally given refuge in Yanzhie, but Niangxi later denied it.

The dispute between the two countries lasted for centuries, even entering the 5th generation. They never stopped attacking each other at the border. There is a big secret behind the seizure of the place, which not many people know.

The Yanzhie region extends from the Yanshan mountains to the north, Niangxi to the south from the grasslands to the sea. The climate in Niangxi is warmer than in Yanzhi.

YANZHI KINGDOM

The capital of the kingdom: the city of Yubei.

Leader: King Yan Yue

King: His Majesty Yan Yue (son of king Yan Haocun and empress Xu Jiao )

He became king from the age of 18.

*Dad died of old age.

*Mother died of a mysterious illness that caused her to be ill for two years, according to the story due to incense poison from concubine Li Sui for wanting to become a queen mother.

Grand Empress: Grand Empress Xiao Yi or called by her beloved vocation as 'Chenxing' by the king was a queen from the lower class (lower nobility) who was crowned empress because of her intelligence and policy, an empress who made the king of Yan Yue submit to one love.

Their romantic story full of twists and intrigue can be read in the previous novel "SELIR PERSEBAHAN" which has been released and finished before.

Prince: Prince Yan Tiang Tang (Heaven Prince) and Yan Tai Yang (Sun Prince) are two twin princes, one of whom is the future heir to the kingdom of Yanzhie.

Xiao Yi was the only concubine that made His Majesty fall in love among his many concubines not only because of her beauty but because of her policies, cleverness and skills. The concubine who made him rise from the slump of his past.

GENERAL ZHAO JUREN (Honorary Prince Yan Juren)

The young commander Zhao Juren, son of King Yan Haochun whose identity was kept secret by Suri Li Sui's mother because of his ambitions, was raised by the Royal Noble Zhao Honglie, the older brother of Suri Li Sui's mother, the woman who later became a traitor to the State at the end of her life.

Zhao Juren grew up in a royal ward under the care of a queen mother along with other princes and was appointed young commander at a very young age due to his achievements in the military, he succeeded his adoptive father, General Zhao Honglie.

In this story tells about the life of Zhao Juren after the Queen Mother was punished for her betrayal and concubine Yi was adopted as the Grand Empress as a companion of His Majesty the king of Yan Yue, the older brother of Zhao Juren was a different mother.

In this novel is set after 3 years since the incident of rebellion in the grand hall of Weiyan palace, where in that incident almost killed the future grand empress and lost the life of Zhao Juren.

Yanzhie is a kingdom that has a Region 5 Province led by a governor and several small tribes/kingdoms led by tribal leaders from certain clans:

NIANGXI KINGDOM

Capital of the kingdom: Nanxing

Leader: King Nan Chen Xiatian/His Highness Nan Chen

Empress: Lin Fangyin

(they were married almost ten years but had no children yet), King Nan Chen only had children from some of his concubines, which made Empress Fangyin very cruel and cold. This made her a jealous queen. Fangyin himself was married to the king because he was the son of the general Lin Qin, a friend of the previous king.

Nanxing State consists of only five provinces but is divided into many prefectures or sub-provinces. The area is not as large as Yanzhie but in terms of fertility, the Yanzhi area is more fertile land although to the far south it becomes drier and molt in some areas. However, Nanxing country does not experience natural disasters too often, in contrast to Yanzhie country which in some areas is threatened by flooding and prolonged seasons and winters throughout the year.

Lin Hongse (The mysterious deputy general of Qui) is the younger sister of the king's consort, Lin Fangyin.

Lin Hongse was appointed as the main deputy general who always hid his face behind the armor and the iron mask. It was said that only Lin Hongse and how many important people of the palace alone knew the appearance of that cold General Qui.

Princess Nan Luoxia (sister of His Highness Nan Chen), is said to be the most beautiful girl in Niangxi country, in is the girl who was born when autumn turned into winter. Her mother felt the pain of contractions from the end of autumn until the first snow in winter arrived. Half a full moon withstood the pain but never gave birth until it was namaka Luoxia by her father.

Yue Yin (Leader of the Angel army), a confidante of another General Qui, a mysterious girl who often appears and disappears without anyone knowing her whereabouts. He always used a veil if he came out of Tianzhi palace, supposedly according to rumors Yue Yin was the mistress of the mysterious general Qui.

These two countries are at war without ever really succeeding in diplomacy. They fought over the city that each recognized as his own, an old city of Yichen that was only the size of a city at the level of sub-prefectures (Regencies), respectively, where the city contains old buildings and old temples guarded by monks.

The story is a spin off from the story of the show's concubine with the main character General Zhao Juren.
