Geck, tok, tok.
The sound of a knock on the door of Naina's house echoed inside her house, when the time was already showing at half-eight p.m. Naina is checking out some of her property reports and culinary efforts. Rissa is pursuing a hobby that she rarely uses in everyday life. They are cool with their respective gadgets in Naina's room.
"Mom', there's Mr. Dean to see Ms. Rissa." Atun said after he opened the door.
Rissa slid down from her mother's bed. Naina just shook her head looking at her daughter's behavior.
"Please make me drink, Ma'am! Just let Rissa get Dean. Please watch from behind!" Naina Pinta.
"Yes Ma'am'." Atun immediately left Naina's room.
Naina gave a small smile after Atun came out of her room. He remembered a small incident after his return from Sinta's parents' house, one week ago.
The Flashback
"Your stomach still hurts Na?" Dean asked as he crouched down right in front of Naina who was sitting on one of the park chairs.
"Stand De! Don't be like that!" Pinta Naina fast.
Naina feels uncomfortable because of Dean who suddenly crouches in front of Naina. He doesn't want to be the center of attention.
"Jawab first!"
"Yes. My stomach is better." Naina's voice is short.
Dean immediately stood up and sat down next to Rissa who was already sitting next to Naina.
"Mom, we play there!" Rissa pointed at an empty swing not far from where they were sitting.
Rissa immediately went down and pulled Naina and Dean by the hand. Naina slightly huffed her steps because she was not ready to pull her hand on Rissa.
"Slow baby! Mommy's having trouble walking!" Said Dean suddenly.
Naina looked over. There was an unusual feeling in his heart. A feeling he had not felt for a long time. A comfortable feeling when someone secretly notices her and cares for her.
In fact, it often gets the attention of many people. Although his attitude is indifferent and tends to be arrogant and closed when dealing with others, but still many who pay special attention to him. Especially the people of Adam. Naina's charm is too strong.
For some reason, there was an unusual vibration as the sentence slid from Dean's mouth. There was something that burst into his heart that had been asleep for a long time.
"What feeling is this?" Inner Naina.
Rissa immediately ran towards the swing she wanted. Naina chose to sit on a small foundation that was near the swing. Dean sat down next to Naina.
"Na, uh,,"
"Yes," Naina said, turning to Dean for a moment.
"Sorry! I often make you angry and upset." Dean's words are sincere.
"What's wrong. Everyone has a different nature, right?"
"You want to forgive me? I want to start everything from the beginning. I'd like to repeat our introduction time at the resto better."
Naina looked at Dean's face. Trying to read the look on a man's face that often upset him. He thought of something.
"certain. But there's a condition." Naina was proud.
"Whatever you want!"
"Get me some ice cream and Rissa."
"That's it?"
Naina nodded. "Sure Miss."
Dean stood in front of Naina.
"Hi Miss! Can I know what your name is?" Dean reached out his right hand to shake Naina.
Naina smiles and welcomes Dean's hand.
"I'm Dean."
"Naulina."
They laughed with their hands still holding each other. "You're beautiful Na."
Ah, in Naina's heart it suddenly became spring. The blooming flowers filled her long empty little heart. Decorate every corner of his long uninhabited heart. The fresh wind was blowing to cool his mood.
Naina's cheeks instantly blushed. His heart suddenly beat faster. He wanted to laugh a little because he was praised, but he endured the shame.
Dean looked at the pretty face with his beautiful smile. He still clasped Naina's hand as if he did not want to take it off.
"De, hands!" Naina said suddenly.
"Oh, hehe. Sorry." Dean's a little embarrassed.
"Rissa, let's go home! Dean wants to buy ice cream. Rissa is not?" Naina said a little screamed.
"Es cream?" Rissa asked as she looked at Naina from her swing.
Naina nodded. Rissa immediately came down from her swing and approached Naina and Dean. They finally left the park. Dean kept his word to buy the ice cream of the two beautiful women.
Flashback Off
"Why am I smiling?" Naina's grouse is in her room.
Old Dean and Rissa were chatting together in the living room. Naina had already finished her work which had piled up.
"Mommy." Call Rissa right at Naina's door.
"Yes dear."
"Mommy?" Naina frowned.
Rissa just nodded. Rissa goes into Naina's room to retrieve her laptop and cell phone, and she takes it to her own room. Naina immediately meets Dean in the living room.
"Why are you suddenly nervous?" Inner Naina while walking towards the living room.
"Day De!" Greet Naina as she gets to the living room.
"Hi Na! Is your job done?" Dean with his smile.
"Oh, already. What's up?" Naina replied as she sat on the chair, facing Dean.
"Can I ask for help?"
"What?"
"Smile!"
Naina's confused. He tried to understand Dean's very simple words.
"Why?"
"What's wrong. I just want to see you smile." Honestly Dean.
Naina still doesn't understand Dean's intentions. He tried to think for a moment. A simple request from the man in front of him. The man who in the past week has been quite attentive.
How not? Since returning home from Sinta's parents a week ago, their relationship has become closer. Dean no longer hesitates to send messages or even make video calls to Naina when she misses her.
Naina happily replies to her message and makes a video call with Dean. Their relationship is going better.
"No." Sahut Naina flat.
"A little Na!" Woo Dean again.
"Not De."
"Come Na! Smile, just a little!" Pinta Dean again.
"Smile, before I go!" Inner Dean.
"Why are you? Don't usually think of it?" Naina's a little upset.
"I just want to see you smile. That's all."
Naina pulled both corners of her lips in annoyance and for just a moment.
"The one who is dong! Cook that? You're ugly if you like that." Dean's Eject.
"What I'm ugly about, why?" Naina's way more upset.
"Naaa, come!"
Dean also stood up to the woman whose face was slightly bent because of the annoyance. He was squatting beside his feet.
Naina immediately shuffled because she was uncomfortable with Dean's attitude. He didn't want it to be seen by Rissa or Atun.
"Why are you De there? Stand up!" Pinta Naina is nervous.
Ah, Naina's heart that has been nervous, is now more and more careless. He doesn't know how to handle Dean.
"Smile! Then I'll stand up."
Naina finally stood up and walked away from Dean towards the front window of her house. Slightly spread the curtains that have been tightly closed because the day is dark.
Naina looked out the window. He tried to calm his nervous heart because of the man who was now visiting in his house.
Dean looked down listlessly. He really just wanted to see Naina's smile that had always been her spirit the last few days. Keep it in your heart as something you will miss.
"Naa," Dean stood up to Naina who was standing behind him. He stood beside Naina. Staring fixedly at Naina's pretty face from the side.
"I'm definitely gonna miss that face." Inner Dean.
Naina was still silent. His gaze was straight through the glass window staring into the front garden of his house.
Dean breathed out slowly. He doesn't want to force Naina anymore. Dean closed his eyes for a moment.
"Just so! I'm going home first Na!" Pamit Dean after he re-opened his eyes.
"Is that all? You're here just for that?" Ask Naina wonder.
Dean just nodded. "I'm sorry if I bother you. Excuse me Na!"
"okay."
Dean walked straight to the door. Naina drove him. In Dean's little heart, he wished he could see Naina's smile before she left.
But it turns out not at all. Naina was still silent not smiling one bit.
"Thank you Na. I'll go home first! Greetings to Rissa!" Dean said after he was at Naina's doorstep.
"Yes, I'll tell you!" Naina's heart is relaxed.
"Assalamu'alaikum."
"Wa'alaikumussalam."
Dean got back in his car and started the engine. He opened his car window and turned to Naina who was still standing at the door of his house. Hoping, Naina will give a genuine smile even if only for a moment. But it didn't.
Dean started driving his car with a feeling of disappointment. He came home with a sad heart.
"Sorry Na."
