You can meet him. But on one condition, though,
Never leave your mother for her.
At least, that's what John heard from his mother's lips when asking permission to meet his father. There was no sense of enthusiasm that greeted John's little reproach as the day went on. Only pain, heart and sorrow will the wounds that his father ever made for his beloved mother.
To this day, the day he will meet the person he had thought never existed, John walks past an elegant door opened by two doormans dressed in neat clothes with bow ties adorning their necks. Then John sat at one of the tables his father had booked.
“Sorry sir, are you Mr Song Minju?” ask a beautiful waitress dressed in black, complete with an apron perched on her body that is perfect enough for the size of a waitress. He scolded, just wanted to be sure.
“I, his son.” replied John doubtfully. He was not so sure of the status he had just spoken of. However, blood is thicker than water. The indisputable reality in the slightest, Song Minju's blood flowed in his veins.
“Ah. Do you want to order now?” ask the beautiful waitress again.
John shook his palm, refusing to accept the menu presented to him with a sweet smile. “ Later. I want to wait for my dad to arrive first.”
Miris.
For almost a lifetime, he never acknowledged the man as a father. But now? Suddenly he turned into a kind and obedient man just like that. Miris right?
The boy nodded in understanding, then left John with a message, in order to call him if he needed anything.
John circulated his gaze at the upscale restaurant his father had chosen. Looking at the entire corner of the building until the maniknya find a figure that will be his friend at the restaurant table. His father, Song Minju.
The old man smiled in the distance when he saw John actually coming to see him, this time. He was eager to reach out, and embrace his son even if only once.
“John.” said, pulling full attention John who was busy exchanging messages with his office friends. Minju was sitting across the chair, right in front of her handsome son.
“Ah, you have arrived?” john replies formally, considering he always builds high limits for their relationship. John just wanted to be polite.
“Why is the formal speech so. Just talk to dad.”
John smiled bitterly at the end of his lips. It was easy for the man to say so, while his mother had to bear the heavy burden of life without any intervention from it.
Minju realized that she had been wrong enough to abandon John and his mother. But in the depths of his heart, Minju also wanted his only son to think of him as a father. Someone who made him present to the world.
“Alright, if that's what you want.” assault Minju gently while waving and receiving a menu book from the beautiful waitress who previously met John earlier. “ Want what message? Why not just order first before you come?”
Dad huh?
John shook his head, only voicing the question in his heart as he could no longer express the right words to respond. Let it. Let him say as he pleases. John's palm moved to receive the same book from the waitress, then choose an expensive menu with inhumane prices recorded in it.
“I should have brought mom here earlier. Mother never eats tasty and expensive like this.”, John quipped sharply, trying to reveal the reality that his mother had never enjoyed his father's wealth in the slightest after the Song man left them both in a valley of misery and poverty.
“Then just order to take home. Father who will pay later.”

The sound of classical music suddenly seemed to fill the room. Apparently, in one corner of the room, there was a man who was proposing to his lover. So romantic, and so fun.
“So, Hyuji asked you to come here?”
John nodded at Minju's question. No doubt, all this he did for Song Hyuji, his brother.
“Dad will thank him later.”
“No need. Hyuji is just an intermediary. The rest, do not connect him again in this business.”
John knows what he's doing. She just didn't want to add to Hyuji's burden and wanted to let her brother live a quiet life.
Minju gasped slightly, but she nodded in response to the statement John had made for her. True, all this time Hyuji never felt the slightest happiness, let alone from a mother who should give him full affection.
John grabbed a tall glass of liquid as red as blood after finishing the steak served to him.
“Now,” John pause, put the glass back on the table, then stare at old face Minju across the table. “—what destination you ask to meet me.”
Minju did not immediately reply, he silenced the atmosphere long enough by chewing food in his mouth until he swallowed, then grabbed Napkin in his lap. Raising his gaze to John, then smiled warmly. From a long time ago, he wanted to be around John like this, and today that dream came true. He could see his only son. Hyuji said, John is very handsome. His son is so handsome.
In the next second, Minju's palm moved to grab something from behind the dark work coat she was wearing, then extended a small black box to John.
“Please give that to your mother. Dad doesn't deserve that from a woman as good as her.”
John frowned, looking right at the black box it was in. There is a golden heart on it. Two sides within John scramble to surface. First, the worst side of him who wants to laugh and tell the whole world that two people who were being drunk on romance at that time, so ridiculous and ended tragically with his presence in the world. And the second side, he was amazed at the two of them who loved each other and maybe they would be a sweet couple when living together, of course his mother who became the only woman.
Amidst his inner turmoil, John chose to smile sarcastically while reaching out to reach for the box that made him curious about the contents inside. Then, a sentence that he never expected slid from the throat just like that.
“Do you still love my mother?”[]
