Kirana's body slumped on the floor when the door of her room had just closed. The sobs sounded so heart-wrenching, his body trembling violently. In an instant, the trust that Kirana gave to her husband. His chest rumbled violently, drops upon drops of tears flowing down his cheeks.
Ten years of marriage to Zidan meant nothing to the man.
Why would Zidan lie to her so much?
Kirana was still filled with all the pain. Her memory revolves around her struggle so far accompanying her husband. Sacrificing many things including his career and family.
Kirana has never demanded anything from Zidan. Just because he could not give a son, the man decided to marry another woman, while she gave birth to two daughters for him.
During this time, her in-laws had always demanded Kirana to give birth to a son. But as an ordinary human being he cannot determine because everything goes back to the creator who rules everything.
He was not unable to give any offspring, he had given two very beautiful princesses. Then what's the difference?
He was still sobbing, his chest was so tight. Imagining the treatment of her husband who never demanded many things, made her never have any premonition. Zidan is still acting as usual, being a good husband and father to his two daughters.
But why does all this have to happen.
His phone rang a few times, his name on the screen. Kirana immediately wiped her tears and began to catch her breath before answering the call.
“Ah, Yes, Ma. I'll be back soon. There's still business. Before seven o'clock I was home. If I haven't come back, is it okay to take the kids? Later I will directly pick up at the event.”
After the call was cut off, Kirana breathed in relief. The mother only told him if he had any business so asked him to go home because he could not leave his two grandchildren. But she could not just leave before hearing the explanation from her husband. Still want to hear firsthand what reasons make Zidan choose to marry another woman.
Kirana was still sitting on the floor, staring blankly at her bedroom. The sweet shadow of togetherness with her husband and two children makes Kirana's eyes warm again.
The hour hand kept turning, without feeling it was four in the afternoon. Kirana was still waiting, waiting for an explanation but it turned out that no one had come, not even Zidan had contacted her at all.
Before leaving, Kirana's eyes stared blankly at her dream house. The house that has been the place for five years to dream and hope of a beautiful and happy family. One tear fell before Kirana turned around and got into her car.
...✿✿✿...
Kirana sat in her parents' yard enjoying the night breeze. The darkening of the sky without the presence of stars or moon is the same as what is felt at this time.
Abdillah and Rahma—both Kirana's parents looked at the princess who had just come home and didn't say much.
The two middle-aged men whispered to each other, wondering about what was going on. But they are reluctant to ask if the person does not say anything.
In silence, tears flow without being prevented. Kirana.
Today you can cry, spend your tears because tomorrow you won't cry for her anymore, Kira.
Hearing the approaching footsteps, Kirana immediately wiped away the tears that were still flowing.
“What's up Brother?” Kirana.
“Mama said sit here alone,” said Rina—his eldest son.
“Nothing. Want to sit alone and sit down. Why Kak?”
“Mama freak!”
Kirana laughed softly. “You are there. Already yuk, let's bobo.”
Kirana and her two children lay in the same bed. Her hands stretched out hugging Lina—her youngest child who was only five years old. In silence Kirana thought of many things. What would happen if his two children knew that the father had another wife. Just imagining it already made Kirana's heart ache.
Kirana tried to blow away the thoughts that filled her head.
It was enough Kirana was crying and lamenting what had happened. He will not let her, tears will spill again for someone who does not think of her.
It's been a week since they've been here, it just so happens that Monday the two children have started going back to school. Kirana is starting to get upset, will she choose to stay here or return home.
“What's up, Son?” Kirana is shocked by the presence of the mother touching her shoulder.
“Nothing Ma.” A thin smile was offered to make the middle-aged woman calm down.
“You have a problem with Zidan?” asked Rahma while looking at Kirana's bead.
“No,” sahut Kirana brief.
“Without you talking, Mama knows because mama feels it.” Rahma speaks as a mother who has a strong bond. “Tell me what really happened? If there is a problem yes solved, instead of even blurring.”
Kirana looked at Rahma with annoyance. “Where there is blurring, Ma. I also came home on Mas Zidan's orders. He said there was a duty outside the city a month it turned out yesterday he had just held a wedding,” said Kirana fiery until unconsciously keceplosan.
“What!” The surprised screeches from Rahma made Kirana jump in shock. The middle-aged woman looked at Kirana intensely as if demanding an explanation of her words.
Kirana nodded slowly before answering, “Yesterday I got word from my friend, Mas Zidan said at the wedding. Because I can't believe it so yesterday I came to prove it directly. It turns out, Ma.” Kirana's lips trembled and immediately hugged Rahma tightly. “Mas Zidan betrayed our marriage.”
“Why did Zidan do that, Kira?”
Kirana shook her head slowly. “I don't know Ma. Even until this second, Mas Zidan has not contacted me at all.”
Rahma gently rubbed Kirana's trembling back. Gently caressing the back as if channeling strength.
“I have to how, Ma.” Kirana had strengthened herself and her heart, but still her mind was not that strong.
“Mama can't say anything. Who lives you, who feels you too, Mama can only pray the best. Whatever decision you make, remember that you already have two daughters and go through a lot together.”
“Mama asked me to hold?”
Rahma shook her head slowly. “That's your decision, son. But before deciding anything, it's good to think well.
“Hide this from Papa. I don't want Papa's heart to recur,” said Kirana slowly.
Kirana immediately ended the conversation with Rahma. His body lay back on the bed and stared at the ceiling of the room. Her eyes were heating up, but Kirana chose to look up so that tears would not spill again.
Marriage is not a game that can end easily, let alone there are children who are victims.
“Mama is sure you can get through it, Nak.”
“If I choose to part ways, will Mama support me?”
“Mama will always support your decision. Don't feel alone, there are we who will always be with you.”
Kirana hugged her mother again. “Still, Ma.”
