It was raining steadily now, and Birundasih watched the rain fall diagonally from the sky, trying to defy gravity as it followed the whistling west wind over the trees.
The sky was slightly darker, and large droplets fell from the clouds. A little storm is coming down.
Birundasih enjoyed the rain and leaned his head for a moment to let it hit his face. She knew the front of her dress would be soaked in a few minutes, but she didn't care.
However, he wondered, if Sugi noticed it, then he thought he might realize it.
He rubbed his hair, felt the wetness. It feels amazing, he feels amazing, everything feels amazing.
Even in the rain, he could hear Sugi who was panting from rowing strongly and the voice aroused his passion in a way that he had not felt for many years.
Clouds exploded right above them, and the rain started to fall more heavily. Louder than he's ever seen. Birundasih looked up and laughed, giving up on staying dry, it made Sugi feel better.
Birundasih doesn't know how she feels about it. Although she had made the decision to come, Sugi doubted this woman would have thought of being caught in a storm like this with him.
They reached the dock a few minutes later, and Sugi put the canoe close enough that Birundasih could get out easily. He helped the woman stand up. Then he himself came out and dragged the canoe to the edge of the lake far enough away to not drift. Just in case, he tied her to the dock, remembering that another minute in the rain would make no difference.
As he tied the canoe, he looked at Birundasih and stopped breathing for a moment. She was very beautiful as she waited, watching her, completely comfortable in the rain. She did not try to stay dry or hide herself, and she could see her chest line as the rain pressed down on the cloth of the dress that was tightly stuck on her body. It wasn't cold rain but—
Sugi immediately realized his sight and thoughts and decided to quickly turn around, embarrassed, muttering to himself, happy the rain muffled his voice.
When he finished and stood up, Birundasih grabbed his hand, surprising him.
Despite the heavy rain, they did not rush to the house, and Sugi imagined what it would be like to spend the night with him.
Birundasih also wondered about him. He felt a warmth in his hands and wondered what it would be like if they touched his body, feeling everything, slowly sticking to his skin. Just thinking about it made him take a deep breath, and he felt his stomach start tingling and a new warmth inside.
He then realized that something had changed since he came here. And though he could not determine the exact time. yesterday after dinner, or this afternoon in the canoe, or when they saw the goose, or maybe even now as they walked hand in hand, he said, but she knows that she has fallen in love with Sugiono again, and maybe, just maybe, she never stops actually.
There was no uneasiness between them as they reached the door and the two went inside, stopping at the foyer, his clothes drenched.
"Are you bringing a change of clothes?"
He shook his head, still feeling a scroll of emotion within him, wondering if it was visible on his face.
"I think I can find something here for you so you can get out of those clothes. It may be a little big, but it's warm."
"Anything" he said.
Sugi took off his boots, then ran up the stairs, down a minute later. He has a pair of cotton pants and a long-sleeved shirt on one arm and some jeans with a blue shirt on the other.
"This," he said, handed him his cotton pants and shirt. "You can change your clothes in the bedroom upstairs. The bathroom and towels are also there if you want to take a shower."
He thanked her with a smile and climbed the stairs, feeling the man's gaze as he walked.
He entered the bedroom and closed the door, then put his pants and shirt on the bed and took everything off. Without clothes, she went to the closet and found a hanger, put a dress and underwear on it, and then hung it in the bathroom so as not to drip on the wooden floor.
He did not want to take a shower after the rain. She liked the soft feeling in her skin, and it reminded her of how people used to live in the past. Sure oes. A little of his memory floated on Sugi.
He put on his clothes before looking at himself in the mirror. His pants were big, but tucking in his shirt helped, and he rolled his bottom a little so as not to get dragged around.
The neck of the shirt was torn a little and almost dangled onto one of his shoulders, but he still liked the look. He pulled his sleeves up almost to his elbows, went to the drawer, and put on socks, then went to the bathroom to look for a hair comb.
He combed his wet hair enough to remove a slight tangle there, and let his hair dangle on his shoulders. Looking in the mirror, he wished he had brought a bando or a pair of hairpins. And he also needs a little mascara, he thought. But what can he do now?
His eyes still had a bit of what he was wearing before, and he touched it with a washcloth, doing the best he could.
When she finished, she checked herself in the mirror, felt beautiful despite everything, and returned down the stairs.
Sugi was in the kitchen standing in front of the stove, heating the water and the two cups of tea he had prepared. Sugi was unaware of his presence there, and he noticed as the man worked.
He also changed his clothes and looked good. His shoulders are wide, wet hair hangs right on his collar, jeans tight.
The water pot rang, he lifted it carefully and filled the glass almost full, after finishing with tea he moved both cups to the tray, and added a few sugar spoons.
Birundasih leaned against the door frame, one leg crossed, and kept an eye on him. As Sugi turned around he was a little surprised to find her there.
"How long has it been?" He handed the cup to Birundasih.
"Less than five minutes I think," he received the cup from Sugi's hand.
"Well, can we use those woods to light a fire?" Birundasih pointed to a pile of wood in another part of the kitchen.
"Why not? I have room to light a fire," Sugi stepped onto the wooden pile and brought some into the room on the side of the kitchen.
A room that was not too spacious, Birundasih was surprised to find that the room had a fireplace. Carpets on the floor, a long black sofa and a television on top of a long closet at the height of an adult waist.
