Alan stopped his car right in front of my gate.
"Thank you." I said. Alan nodded without a word. "Can I ask you something?" ask me before I get down.
"Say!" answer's short.
"Married!" I said short. "Pity of Miss Riya. It's old."
Alan melengos's. He did not answer my words.
"Yes already. I'm down. Thanks again. Assalamualaikum."
"Waalaikumsalam." muttered Alan. After I got off, he drove the car away and it became more and more invisible.
I'm sorry Lan, I'm not insensitive. But we're different. We won't be together.
"Mother!!!" I saw Ryan running from a distance. He immediately hugged me.
"Where's Ryan from?" I was surprised to see my son outside the house.
"From a friend's house. Father asked me to go to a friend's house while waiting for my mother to come home. I need to say." Ryan chatted well.
I smiled thinly. I rubbed his hair and I took my son in.
"Mother, Ryan is hungry" Ryan said as he stroked his stomach.
"Ryan hasn't eaten?!" My son shook.
"So my father was in a hurry, so I was told to wait for my mother if she wanted to eat" he said as he followed me to the kitchen.
...I looked at Ryan with great pity....
Forgive me, son. You become a victim.
I took Ryan to eat and accompanied him. Ryan ate very well. It seems that he is hungry.
"Ryan's? If Ryan, for example, is told to choose to live with what father is the same mother, Ryan choose who?"
"Ryan did not choose. Ryan wants to stay with his mom and dad" he replied, chewing his food.
I'm silent. I elus his head.
"Dad and mom want to separate, right? How did Ryan get asked to vote?" ryan's eyes stared questioningly.
"No. Continue to eat it, lalau praying. Must not be praying?"
Ruan nodded, "Yes not yet." he then went back to enjoying his lunch.
I left Ryan in the dining room. I went into the room to change clothes. The shadow of Mas Andre and his young wife filled my mind again.
"Oh Allah, I am still not sincere. There is still this pain." I murmured while repeatedly taking a deep breath. That's when my phone rang.
Andre sent a message. He reported that tonight he did not come home because there was a sudden job. He asked for permission because he was with me today.
Oh Allah. Until when you'll lie.
I replied to Mas Andre's message with a short answer, "Yes."
I sit on the side of the bed. Remembering everything that happened, remembering Alan's words, the advice of Judge and my brother. Really, it makes me confused and more nervous.
"Mother, I'm done eating. I'm gonna take a shower, keep waiting for Dad to come. I promised you this afternoon we'd play kites on the front court" Ryan said.
"Yan.dad today there is a sudden job. Ryan played his kite with Ryan's friends." I said.
"Mother.dad promised. I can't possibly lie. Dad always said we shouldn't lie." Ryan was clinging to his belief that his father was coming.
"Dad doesn't lie. But I have a sudden job." I'm trying to explain.
"What work? Today is my father's schedule off. Mommy, didn't you say you had four days off?"
"alright. Ryan can wait for you, but if you don't come, Ryan promises not to be disappointed and sad, yes! I still have work."
Ryan nodded. Then he walked to the bathroom. A moment later I heard the sound of water gurgling from inside.
In the evening, I tried almost all night to persuade and comfort Ruan because he was disappointed his father could not go home. Ryan was crying. Although long enough, eventually the child can make peace with his disappointment. He finally fell asleep because he was tired.
As I looked at Ryan in his voice, my doorbell rang. I'm a little surprised there's a night guest. My house rarely has guests. I put on my hijab and I stepped forward. I opened the window curtain and peeked out. I saw Alan standing in front of the fence.
I'll get a cell phone and call Alan.
"What's wrong?" my many.
'Take your bike key. You forgot not to leave him. So how can I take your bike to the workshop." Alan half-grumbled.
"Ah sorry. Wait I'll give you the keys to my bike." I answered and turned off my phone call. I'm looking into the bag. Meet, it turns out my motor key was carried home.
"sorry. Huh!" I pulled the motor key from between the fence.
"You didn't tell me to come in?!" ask Alan. He left my hand outstretched without taking the key I had thrust.
"Maag, Mas Andre is not at home" I replied.
"Alan!" I said.
"Ra, I know what I'm saying wrong gospel maybe even I'm guilty of saying it. Ra, get divorced from Andre then....."
"Alan enough!!!" I don't want to hear Alan's next sentence. I know what he's gonna say. "Lan, if I have to get a divorce, it's not because I'm the one who wants to. I will accept if Mas Andre divorces me. But I would never ask for a divorce unless there was something that would make me change my decision" I said firmly.
"And what is it?!" answer Alan.
"I don't know Lan. Let's get everything set up." I answered half a murmur. We're still talking by the fence.
"Lan gohome. It's not good to see a neighbor, it can be slanderous." I reminded Alan.
Alan sighed then he stepped towards his bike. He didn't bring a car apparently. Shortly after, Alan's motor racing roar breaks the silence of the night.
The next morning, Andre did not come home. He usually goes home before I go to work.
ting
Incoming message notification.
I snatched my phone thinking it was from Mas Andre, it was from Alan.
Alan sent me a message that he was going to pick me up. I'm rattled. How do I ask permission from Mas Andre. Between us there is an agreement, if he is with his second wife, then I cannot contact him. To keep his wife's feelings, said Mas Andre. I don't mind, because I don't like it when Mas Andre is with me, and he keeps calling her. But whether the deal has been for both sides or has only been for me, I don't know. And I don't care about that.
But right now I need my husband's permission to go to work either going with Alan or taking the shuttles. But how do I ask permission.
"Alright Mas. It is better for you to be angry with me than for God to be angry." I murmured.
I then sent a message asking for permission whether I could go to work with Alan or take a ride.
I put my phone down and I started to get ready.
"Mother, are you still not coming home?" Ryan came in and sat on my bed.
"Looks like. Ryan, same budhe." I said. I got the lyrics to Ryan's face reflected in the mirror. He's pouting.
Until the time I left for the office, I had not received a reply to the message I sent. The message has not been sent. Apparently Andre's phone is off. I decided to take an online taxi with Ryan.
I took Ryan to wait for an online taxi in front of the housing gate. Not long after a car stopped in front of me. Alan's Car.
Alan opened the door. "Good!" her word.
"Sorry, Lan. I've booked a taxi online." I replied. I saw Alan get out of his car.
"Hi Ryan!" say it to Ryan
"Hi Om." replied Ryan.
"Yin. Ryan want to take a taxi online or with you?" ask Alan. "Can't ask mom. What does Ryan want"
Ryan who was about to ask for my approval became stuck. He looked back at Alan and the car took turns.
"Ryan wants to go with the car." replied Ryan. A triumphant smile was imprinted on Alan's face. Even though he was wearing a mask, I could see the wrinkles in his eyes and those eyes were sparkling.
"Lan.how about the cab I ordered."
"Where's your phone?" Alan reached out his hand asking for my phone.
"For what?" I asked while holding my phone.
"Quickly. You'll know later." Alan forced.
I doubtfully hand over my phone. He typed something in there and then when it was done, Alan returned the phone to me.
"You didn't cancel it, did you, Lan? Poor you." I protested.
"No. I sent him a message to go straight to his destination after from here. I'll pay at the office."
"Oh, can ya." I muttered stupidly.
Alan didn't respond to my murmur.
"Ryan let's go up!" said Alan.
Ryan excitedly got into Alan's car.
Alan drove his car casually. He joked with Ryan the whole way.
"Mother is dad!" ryan shouted suddenly. Me and Alan turned in the direction Ryan pointed. I saw Mas Andre standing in front of a midwife's practice.
My heart suddenly hurt. Is his second wife pregnant. But how can it be? Wasn't all this time Mas Andre was the one who was sentenced to have difficult offspring.
"It has. No need to look!" said Alan. This time Alan reached out his hand to turn my head so as not to stare at Mas Andre and his new wife.
"Lan!" I cried because of Alan's actions. He did not comment.
"Whose mother was with that father?" asked Ryan plainly. Alu and Alan stared at each other. We were both confused as to how to answer Ryan's question.
