Beautiful Undead

Beautiful Undead
Chapter 4's

Duke Carlin continued to watch over Nathania until it made Nathania sort her forehead deep.

"The Duke? Duke?!!" nathania shouted, until it sounded out of the room and made the two door guard knights surprised instead of playing.

Similarly, Carlin was also surprised by the sound of Nathania screaming for the second. "Yes? You said something?" tanyanya, hats.

Nathania rubbed his face rough and made the Duke surprised to see his reaction.

"You can't rub your face like that. Later your makeup can disappear, Miss," Duke Carlin said, warning Nathania.

Nathania instantly took his hands away from his face and looked at his palm that was slightly dirty due to the powder that had faded after he had rubbed it roughly enough.

"G ... You're correct. Looks like the make up here is not waterproof. The scale faded easily," Nathania chirped, making Duke Carlin frown deeply.

"What is waterproof?" asked the Duke, showing a stupid expression that looked very innocent.

Nathania who heard that instantly turned her gaze the other way and quietly showed a sour expression. "Truely, she definitely did not know what waterproof make up was. Ancient times like this, where is there English?!" the chirp, in the heart.

"Miss?" call the Duke, get Nathania's focus back on him.

"Oh .. yeah? You ask what is waterproof? If in my era, it is like makeup that will not fade even though we wash our face. The technology in my place is very sophisticated. Is there technology in this place? Like a car or a phone, maybe??" nathania asked, just a prank.

"You mean the horse-drawn carriage and the messenger pigeon?"

Nathania blinked his eyes a few times and chose to comment on a wry smile, instead of explaining what a car and phone were.

"Here you go, please don't talk about it again. You can go back to our next conversation, right? There's a story until your missing Princess on the eve of her engagement party with the crown prince. And your first wife who was pronounced dead, is still missing. Then what else was that? Your first wife's face is very similar to mine??" nathania asked, in succession.

Duke Carlin nodded his head enthusiastically and turned his head back towards the frame displayed behind his desk. "Yes, he looks a lot like you. That's why I went through another dimension to find my daughter, and when I met you. I thought, Could it be the real Nathania? But looking at your attitude which is like that of a city person in that dimension, it seems I've guessed wrong."

"Of course you've got the wrong person. But how did Princess Nathania suddenly go missing? Is she a witch like you?" chirps Nathania, looking at the Duke's face that looks sour.

"Unfortunately my daughter is disabled. He couldn't even walk properly, let alone use magic. He couldn't possibly. Because in order to use this power, you have to have enormous power and be ready to sacrifice your lifespan" explained Duke Carlin, with a sad face.

Nathania nodded slowly. "That means people won't suspect that I'm not your real Princess. Because he couldn't use magic, as a human who couldn't use that kind of power either. Looks like our secret will both be safe."

Nathania let out a long sigh and looked at Duke Carlin's face which also looked relieved, if knowing that fact.

"But, can I know how you can turn on me and my boyfriend, again? Because the last time I exhaled, I was sure that I was about to enter the gates of hell. How do you pull me from there? Supposedly a human with a small power like a witch, would not be able to break through the power of the underworld." Nathania looked at the middle-aged man sitting opposite her at the moment, with a fixed look. "Have you sacrificed anything worth our lives?"

Sharp questions and answers that Duke Carlin would not be able to reveal.

Duke Carlin always treated Nathania as gently as he did his own daughter.

Maybe because of that too, the reason he sacrificed something big to save him and his older brother from being called death?

Srouk ....

Nathania got up from her seat and made Duke Carlin's gaze fall on her.

"I'm not finished telling you the situation you're about to face, Miss. But you already want to go?" duke Carlin asked, standing up.

"At least you can let me eat something, right? I haven't eaten anything since I woke up. And the tea that the waiters serve me, it tastes so bland."

Duke Carlin lowered his head, looking at the two teacups that were still on the table. "Fraight? I think it's sweet."

Nathania shook her head enthusiastically. "I really like sweet food. And if the waiters just gave me a block of sugar for my cup of tea, then it's pretty lacking. There should be at least five blocks of sugar going into that cup!" he explained that he loved sweet food.

Duke Carlin who heard that was shocked. But there was no protest he uttered, as he chose to have the servants obey Nathania's will rather than reprimand the Princess.

"Well, next time I guarantee the waiters won't do anything wrong again. Now you want to eat, right? Let's go to the dining room, to eat together. Soon it was time for lunch, and it seemed like there was also a need to meet my second wife. The woman who is like a mother to you" said the Duke, walking first to the door and opening one of the valves.

Nathania followed him, walking out of the room first as Duke Carlin let him out first.

"Alright" Nathania said, according to.

The two door guard knights, who saw their Duke's demeanor was to treat Princess Nathania, had felt confused and strange.

Because before, Duke Carlin had never been gentle or polite to the rest of his family. Even he was notoriously cold and had a very sadistic attitude.

Duke Carlin even always killed the servants which made him feel displeased. Or often do heinous things to his family members, if they make the Duke feel uncomfortable.

But what's with him today? Suddenly he turned into a calm man, and more to his surprise! As if he wanted to be a good father to Princess Nathania.

"Is Master Duke okay?" asked the young knight, only getting a sour response from his co-worker.

"I don't know either. Weird, right?" sahut, got a steady nod from the young knight.

"It's weird!"
