Became A Blind Villain

Became A Blind Villain
Ashlyn doesn't care.

Duke stared intently at the slumped figure of the young man in front of him, something that made his daughter unable to sleep.

"How did this guy get in and how did you let him in if you knew there were strangers wandering around the Mansion?" Duke Damien asked and looked at Ramus with a sharp gaze, his blue eyes growing darker and deeper as if they could drown the body of the person he was looking at.

Ramus laughed dryly. "I accidentally saw him while doing patrol and I also let this young man in."

Duke Damien did not understand at all, "What do you really think, what if he was the one who was planning to harm Ashlyn?"

Ramus smiled faintly before saying, "What can a person who is about to bleed out do? rather than that, I was more curious about what Lady Ashlyn would do when she saw this person enter her room."

With the wounds he had sustained and after being forced out of bed, Edmund felt so weak and headache that he could not hear clearly what they were talking about.

"I thought Lady Ashlyn would yell and call the guards to beat this guy up, but ...."

Butwhat? Did Ashlyn save him? A heartless wicked man like Ashlyn could give him thirty lashes that almost took his life. Does that person have the ability to save the lives of others with his dirty hands?

Ha, don't joke! That's all bullshit! Edmund curses in his heart before he falls back unconscious.

"But I didn't expect that Lady Ashlyn would keep it and let it stay in her room, even make it sleep in her bed, do you think Lady Ashlyn and this young man ...."

Ramus gulped his saliva in fear as he saw Duke Damien looking at him so sharply and pressure-filled with anger as if this man wanted to execute him on the spot.

"What are you doing in my room?"

Duke Damien and Ramus turned their heads when they heard Aahlyn's voice suddenly appear.

Ashlyn and Vincent were already standing in the wide-open doorway, while the knights standing guard could only fall silent.

Duke Damien looked at Ashlyn and could not help but think about what Ramus had previously said that Ashlyn and this young man ...

Nah! Duke Damien's face was stiff, inside he slapped himself, but outside he was like a stiff stick staring at his daughter.

"Ashlyn, would you better explain what kept you from sleeping last night?"

Ashlyn's eyebrows rose upon hearing this and could not help but wonder, what kind of explanation Duke Damien wanted.

Duke Damien who saw Ashlyn just fell silent then again asked. "Who's that young man sleeping in your room, Ashlyn?"

"He's a guest."

"Guests? What kind of guest do you let sleep in your own bed!"

Ashlyn furrowed her brows, what did Duke Damien think? What this man thinks is that Ashlyn will let a man sleep in his bed if not in such an unexpected condition as last night. Ashlyn can't even sleep because she has to work all night taking care of Ashlan.

What is this guy thinking? How dare a father who never even existed for his daughter, think ill of his daughter.

"Ashlyn, answer father's question."

Ashlyn sighed harshly before explaining. "He was the one who saved me when I got lost in the supermarket yesterday. As a thank you, I gave him three wishes, whatever I'll grant."

Duke's brows furrowed while his hands clenched tightly upon hearing this, his daughter did not say anything about what happened when he went missing yesterday. Where she went, with whom and where she lived, her daughter said nothing but showed a cold face and the words, "Everything has happened, even if Duke knows what happened it doesn't change anything."

Those words pierced his heart like a poisonous knife. Ashlyn always makes him more and more guilty with all the words that come out of his mouth.

Don't do anything.

Even if Duke knew, it had already happened, what could Duke change?

Everything has happened.

Don't do anything like you've never been here.

This made Duke distressed with the immense guilt that he had been working so hard for the sake of others, but he ignored his own daughter. He wanted to create a safe place without monsters and demons, but he indirectly created hell for his own daughter. His daughter who is so noble as a white pearl in the middle of the ocean, now even when her daughter comes out of her residence her daughter's life is precisely the target of people.

Whatever it was, it was no exception for this young man.

"How could he save you and what did he do to save you? Ashlyns ..."

Ashlyn really did not want to explain what happened, after all what she had to say because what she had just said in half was a lie.

Ashlan did not save him, instead this young man held a grudge that was somehow it was, why did he not ask Ashlan before? It was his folly because he was afraid of the person who would strangle him to death, Ashlyn gave him three requests for Ashlan to forget his grudge, even Ashlyn apologized to him.

Then, about those three requests. Ashlyn did not lie because she had promised in her little heart and would fulfill her promise to Ashlan who at that time did not kill her and even took her to a community of bad people to meet various types people and new experiences about the ways of looking at the bad guys.

Well, basically according to Ashlyn, Ashlan helped her enough.

However, he really did not want to tell her what happened that night, luckily Ramus reminds everyone including Ashlyn who does not know Ashlan's condition that Ashlan has long been unconscious and needs to be treated immediately.

"Ashlyn let's talk about this matter and let the servants and doctors take care of that person."

Damnit damnit! Ashlyn cursed in the heart. The Duke hasn't actually let go.

"I don't think there's anything to talk about, Dad."

Hearing him, the Duke was unhappy. He was very dislikeful of people who liked to argue and ignored him disrespectfully like Ashlyn. However, this is Ashlyn, her daughter and what makes Ashlyn the kind of person she doesn't like is herself.

Her little daughter Ashlyn used to be very sweet, cheerful and so friendly even though she was so shy towards others, but she was always polite when talking and her smile was always beautiful to look at. However, all that was left now was a cold face with a heartless look, and all that was made by himself!

Had it been, only if he could return to the past would he not have abandoned his daughter and nurtured her family well, teaching her, taking care of her, giving her the attention of a father. However, what to say, there is nothing if because the rice has become porridge.

Duke Damien might not be able to fix it perfectly, but he still wanted to try. This was his daughter, his flesh blood, so how could he give up.

So Duke Damien looked at Ashlyn who looked unconcerned and sighed, he couldn't be so hard on this child.

"There's no need to talk about this anymore, but I still want to know what the three requests the child asks of you."

Ashlyn had not expected that Duke Damien would listen to her remark, but this further makes Ashlyn think that Duke Damien does not care about Ashlyn and just tries to give her whatever Ashlyn wants to atone for her guilt after making her blind.

Ah, really. Ashlyn wanted to laugh and shake her head. However, he could only sigh, no matter what he was with this family, in this family from the very beginning there was indeed none of them who were by his side.

The duke who only tried to pay for the guilt after making him blind.

A greedy stepmother and stepbrother who always wanted what she had.

Vincent, his brother who never showed up.

In the end at the end of the story only those who live while he is made to die after doing stupidity.

There was no one who was really by his side, it would be best if he could quickly get out and cut ties from them. It felt so crowded when surrounded by these hypocrites.

So, Ashlyn informs the three requests Ashlan mentioned to her and indirectly tells Duke that the young man's name is Ashlan.

When he heard it the Duke seemed to think before saying. "From the clothes he was wearing, Ashlan seemed to be from the lower caste, those from the lower caste always had a weak physique and would be unlikely to become knights. After all, the knights may be ...."

Ashlyn furrowed her brows, for too many reasons, just tell her that you don't want to accept Ashlan to be a knight, why be convoluted. Ashlyn wanted to curse, but she still remembered the place. "Hero is born every day, don't demean others just by their looks. However, if Father thinks so I don't mind, after all I can still put him into the Academy with my own money."

Ashlyn coughed inside, well she wasn't working and the money was Duke's gift, but what was already given wasn't automatically his?

Duke saw the displeasure on his daughter's face and was back only able to sigh at Ashlyn's simple, but stubborn way of thinking.

Indeed, heroes are born every day and never demean others from their appearance. However, not everyone can be a knight, however, he had more than known that the people of the lower caste were ordinary humans who were incapable of wielding magic swords just like Annabel's father who had secretly joined his army while fighting for rewards to make his wife and son proud. However, what happened, that person actually died easily on the battlefield, because humans from the lower caste could never fight against demons and monsters, indeed, and therefore Duke Damien was forced to give the title of knight to Annabel's late father so that the man's death was not in vain.

Ordinary people are ordinary people. However, if this was his daughter's wish, the Duke looked at Ashlyn and said. "But you can't regret your decision, Ashlyn. Being a knight is not an easy thing, Ashlan might not be able to endure the strenuous exercise."

Ashlyn laughed lowly. "There is nothing easy in this life, one has to walk through the coals to tread the path of success. Surviving or not surviving is his business and has absolutely nothing to do with me. Life or death, the person himself will choose, I don't care."
