Second Prince.

Ashlyn returned to the room provided by the royal court of Orpan as long as Duke Damien finished his affairs there.

When Ashlyn suddenly appears in front of Carolin. Carolin immediately jumped in fear because he was completely unfamiliar with his employer who could suddenly appear around him.

"Lady, you surprise me." Carolin stroked her chest.

While Ashlyn with no care immediately sat on the sofa. Looking at her employer who said nothing, Carolin did not feel fear or worry, he was already used to her employer's attitude like this now. This was much better than when her master was still a fierce girl back then.

However, something astonished him. Her employer came with a little boy who looked very pitiful. His body was thin, his face was thin and covered in scars, there was even blood on his forehead!

"Lady Ashlyn, this ...."

Carolin tried to ask but Ashlyn immediately cut him off, "Turn him, clean and treat his wound, feed him and decent clothes, I will go to greet His Majesty the King."

With that Ashlyn stood up from her seat and walked away out of the door with the two guards waiting for her outside the door.

When they saw Ashlyn, they could not help but stare at each other and ask with their eyes.

"Where did Duke Damien's daughter come from after kicking the Crown Prince?"

Their faces even darkened upon thinking that a disaster was about to happen. After all, the Crown Prince was furious and boldly voiced his grievance to the Duke before King Orpan.

"Greetings to His Majesty the King and Queen." Ashlyn graciously greeted the King and Queen. Making everyone present in the palace Hall was mesmerized by Ashlyn's extraordinary appearance.

Beautiful, graceful and pure white like snow. They won't find the same other than Ashlyn. Her glittering white hair really caught everyone's attention, and seeing how her manners this child paid their respects, all the rumors circulating about Ashlyn were as evil and cruel as a lie.

However, Ashlyn's attitude of not immediately paying respects with Duke Damien, made the King think that as a descendant of Daren Lynx, this child was quite brave and arrogant. Moreover, he had heard reports that this girl had kicked the Crown Prince of Olivia Kingdom.

It seemed like the rumors about this girl were true, she was using her father's power and strength to act arbitrarily. A good appearance does not necessarily have a good heart.

The king judged Ashlyn and could not help but smile on her side even though he was shocked when he saw the girl's gray eyes.

Ashlyn is blind.

"I welcome you to our Kingdom, Lady Ashlyn. I hope you feel comfortable while you're here."

Ashlyn, "Mm."

King, "...."

The king squeezed the chair tightly to maintain his expression so that he would not show his displeasure towards Ashlyn in front of Duke Damien.

This good relationship, he could not destroy it even though the Duke's daughter's attitude was indeed outrageous. How could he so boldly just answer with "Mm"?

"Lady Ashlyn, are you really here?"

Duke Louis walked into the room and saw Ashlyn. Then, he looked at the King and saluted them. He then reported something to the King.

"We've arrested everyone who was there. In total, they numbered eight men who attacked Crown Prince Hanz of Olivia. However, they have all been killed Your Majesty, we are still trying to find other perpetrators involved. Especially the black witch."

Duke Louis then looked at Ashlyn and asked. "Lady Ashlyn, do you know anything about that black witch?"

"How could he know anything about the black magician, he was a layman who made you lose the chance to catch your target because of his selfishness."

The Crown Prince suddenly came and directly said this in front of everyone present there. It enraged Duke, he increasingly disliked this arrogant Crown Prince.

The Duke got up from his seat, but stopped when he heard Louis say, "No, Crown Prince Hanz, this is entirely my fault. Because of me, the man managed to escape."

The Crown Prince chuckled, "How could that be your fault? It's because Lady Ashlyn's talking to you and making you lose focus."

Louis shook his head slowly, attentively explaining, "This is because I kicked the man and made the man escape from the circle of spells that made the man unable to use teleportation, she said, I was too rash before and let her loose, therefore Lady Ashlyn said that I shouldn't have kicked her."

The Crown Prince stuttered upon hearing Louis' explanation and it was hard to believe that he was speechless when he saw Ashlyn.

However, the Crown Prince then snorted and smiled cynically. "Then if he does have such an ability, why didn't he catch it in the first place?"

The Crown Prince is increasingly unhappy with the defense Louis has given Ashlyn. This made him clench both his hands.

"Then why didn't he stop you back then, he just let it happen and immediately left the location as if he was very busy and had no responsibility at all for what happened."

Louis looked at the Crown Prince unhappily and wondered why this fellow was so eager to corner Ashlyn by continuing to blame her. Didn't she thank Ashlyn for saving her life?

Louis will defend Ashlyn, but the girl speaks coldly first. "Of course I'm a busy person, even I'm busier than a Crown Prince wandering the streets looking for a gift for someone."

Hearing him, the veins on the Crown Prince's forehead surged. Is this girl spying on him?

Ashlyn was not spying on him, he was a blind man. He only asked Lily what she saw when the Crown Prince came with his troops back then.

Lily said that two of the guards who went with her carried several piles of gift boxes on her arms. Of course, Ashlyn could guess who those gifts were for.

Annabelle.

"I have come to greet His Majesty the King and Queen, not to argue and be a spectacle of everyone. If there's nothing important to talk about, I'll step down."

The duke noticed how Ashlyn spoke and could not help but smile. Ashlyn had changed, she became such a calm child and could control her emotions. The Duke was secretly proud of his decision to bring Ashlyn to the man.

Ashlyn will resign when Louis returns to hold him back.

"I'm sorry, Lady Ashlyn. Please answer my question, do you know anything about the Black Witch?"

Ashlyn did not reply immediately and made everyone wait.

"How a Lady who spent a dozen years inside the Daren Lynx Mansion would know about something like this. Louis, you're wasting your time asking her, why don't you ask Duke Damien about this?" 

The Crown Prince said very clearly, making everyone able to see that the Crown Prince really disliked Ashlyn so much, that he always humbled Ashlyn.

"Blood of the King's blood." Ashlyn suddenly said.

"The blood of the king?" Louis asked.

Ashlyn, "The men said that when the Crown Prince came. So why don't you just ask the Crown Prince? Why are those people after the Crown Prince?"

Hanz was flabbergasted and became furious, "How could I know about it?"

Ashlyn chuckled before smiling cynically. "So you know you're stupid, but you still want to take others down. Sometimes use your brain to think, why and how do they want to kill you? If you don't know, you should find out. Not standing here like a useless parrot. Embarrassing, how could I ever crave a useless person like you?"

Hearing all Ashlyn's words, the Crown Prince grew even more furious and almost lost his grip to hold back.

"Ashlyn's!" The Crown Prince shouted. However, the Duke swiftly stood in front of Ashlyn and faced the Crown Prince.

"Know your limits, Hanz," said the Duke coldly with a sharp gaze.

The Crown Prince choked when he saw Duke Damien's frightening appearance while protecting Ashlyn behind his back.

The Crown Prince clenched his fists tightly, gritting his teeth and the blue veins protruding on his forehead, he was furious.

"Your Majesty the Duke, even though she is your daughter you should not be able to continue defending her like this if she makes a mistake. His attitude is completely outrageous, this would make ordinary people think that the Kingdom has lost its honor by letting your daughter insult me." The Crown Prince finally said this carefully.

However, the Duke coldly replied. "My daughter wouldn't be acting like this if you hadn't gone too far. I heard my daughter saved you, but all that came out of your mouth was a scorn to denigrate Ashlyn. You really have a face to show me. Does the Kingdom really want Daren Lynx to rebel against the Kingdom because of your attitude?"

The Crown Prince choked back and clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white. Damn, he was a Crown Prince, a future King, but why could his status be lower than a Duke.

The King knew what the Crown Prince of this neighboring Kingdom was thinking. However, he also could not defend her, even though Ashlyn's attitude was outrageous. The Crown Prince's own attitude was also no better, it was fitting that Duke Damien would defend his daughter.

The atmosphere in the place stiffened, lucky as the servant came and announced the arrival of the second Prince of the Orpan Kingdom, Prince Charles.

Upon hearing that, the King and Queen stared at each other. For a long time, their son finally returned home.

The door opened, a young man with dark blue hair walked into the room and immediately grabbed a hand, and knelt in front of Ashlyn, kissing the back of her hand before gently staring at Ashlyn.

"So, you've been here all along, the Desert Fairy. My savior."
