Chapters. 18 - Meeting

A sword pierced through and split a very hard flesh. Some trees were damaged and slashed with very messy scratches. Lately, there is often damage caused by magical beasts fighting each other. This made the villagers frightened by mysterious noises that often appear.

Liu Zhang Chen had now stood among the pools of blood created as a result of his fight. There were many magical beasts that died with their bodies split apart. Some fell down from the top of the ravine and drifted within the rushing river. During his fight, he continued to carry the little Zhi Shuang over one of his hands. Though this incident had happened for a very long time yet, Zhi Shuang did not also return to his original form.

”Sister! Are you done?” zhi Shuang asked as he looked towards Liu Zhang Chen.

Liu Zhang Chen stared towards Zhi Shuang who was holding onto his outer clothes. ”... Yep. Everything's been fine. We'll find a place to rest. Do you want to walk alone?”

Zhi Shuang shook his head and increasingly held tightly onto Liu Zhang Chen's shoulder. ”If I don't hold brother then, I will be in danger.”

Liu Zhang Chen looked objected after hearing that. He sighed and put his sword back into its sheath. He walked to a village not far in front of him and said, ”I think resting in the village is better than here. When you get there, will you let me go?” he said as he looked towards Zhi Shuang.

However, Zhi Shuang still shook his head. ”There are many dangerous animals. I was so scared when I saw his threatening eyes.” he said as he hugged Liu Zhang Chen's neck.

”Haah, whereas previously he was very close to the animals in the forest even very dangerous. Was originally he indeed like this.” Inner Liu Zhang Chen who stopped walking when he reached the middle of a vast expanse of grass.

”See there!” liu Zhang Chen exclaimed as he pointed towards a white rabbit that was eating the surrounding grass.

Zhi Shuang looked back and saw it as well. Although it looked harmless, Zhi Shuang looked terrified upon seeing it. He further hardened his grip and did not want to go down until Liu Zhang Chen removed the rabbit from him.

”What's up? Are you still afraid to see it?” ask Liu Zhang Chen.

Zhi Shuang shook his head and said, ”Get rid of him! I don't want to see it!”

As Zhi Shuang said so, Liu Zhang Chen stepped closer to the rabbit and knelt in front of it. He touched the rabbit's head while saying, ”See right? He didn't bite at all. You can also touch it like this.”

Zhi Shuang turned his head towards the rabbit that was behind him. He also tried to dare himself touch the rabbit there. Although he seemed to have difficulty when about to do so, his palm managed to touch the soft head of the white rabbit.

Zhi Shuang was stunned when he saw her. He was about to let go of his hand however, was restrained by Liu Zhang Chen. ”... He looks so happy when you touch him. It is better not to be let go.” Liu Zhang Chen said as he lowered Zhi Shuang and let him stand in front of him.

Zhi Shuang tried to stroke the rabbit until at the end, he felt very happy. He picked up the rabbit and brought it to Liu Zhang Chen.

Liu Zhang Chen smiled faintly. He touched Zhi Shuang's head and said, ”Now you can overcome your fears. Let's go from here.” he said while holding Zhi Shuang's hand out of the forest.

Moments after the two walked straight through the path that was in front of them. Liu Zhang Chen looked surprised after he saw Xiao Qing Xuan and Xiao Ruo come out from within the forest. Xiao Qing Xuan was completely unaware of Liu Zhang Chen's whereabouts behind her. However, Xiao Ruo immediately looked at Liu Zhang Chen coldly as soon as he sensed the swamp of strength of his own.

Astonished by the cold gaze that Xiao Ruo gave, Xiao Qing Xuan immediately turned her head back to see who he was currently looking at. After that, he looked surprised and immediately said, ”Great teacher Chen!”

”Why Teachers can be here. Will Master also go to Shaanxi village?” xiao Qing Xuan asked who walked up to him however, Liu Zhang Chen did not care about it and remained staring towards Xiao Ruo.

”Hah? Whose son is this? So tiny. It feels like I've seen it.” Xiao Qing Xuan said in surprise as she stared at Zhi Shuang who was walking next to her.

Zhi Shuang looked terrified and took shelter behind Liu Zhang Chen's feet. Seeing that, made Xiao Qing Xuan feel astonished and wonder if her face was so terrifying that this child was afraid to look at her?

Shortly after, Liu Zhang Chen replied quietly, ”He is Zhi Shuang. You must know him very well because at that time, he was the one who had taken you hostage.”

Upon hearing that, Xiao Qing Xuan looked surprised and directly stared towards Zhi Shuang before her. ”... You mean, he's the walking zoo? B~ how can he slap like this?” xiao Qing Xuan asked in surprise.

He also tried to touch Zhi Shuang with his smile that looked very forced. However, just as Xiao Qing Xuan was about to touch her head, the white rabbit that was on top of Zhi Shuang's hand just suddenly bit her and made her very surprised.

”This rabbit, is not as poisonous as a snake, is it?” mumbled Xiao Qing Xuan who was feeling anxious when the rabbit was still biting his finger.

Before long, Xiao Ruo walked up to them with a cold, unfriendly look. He touched the shoulder of Xiao Qing Xuan who was kneeling in front of Zhi Shuang with a gaze that was still looking towards Liu Zhang Chen. ”Sorry, brother Xuan. Can you leave us here? I need to talk to him.”

”Heh?”

A short while after, Xiao Qing Xuan led Zhi Shuang away into the forest and let Liu Zhang Chen and Xiao Ruo talk to each other there. Xiao Qing Xuan looked puzzled after she saw Xiao Ruo's cold expression staring towards Liu Zhang Chen. He seemed to be very angry after the incident a few months ago. Xiao Ruo even considered Liu Zhang a monster that should be killed immediately.

While looking at him coldly and feeling extremely annoyed, Xiao Ruo asked, ”Why do we always meet you? What is your goal of approaching little brother Xuan even to this extent? Actually, who doesn't know themselves here? Killing him then asking him to stay alive, I really can't understand what you're thinking right now.”
