Being a Dad to My Niece

Being a Dad to My Niece
Chapter 45. The Sakti Grave

Chapter 45

Pain, that's Arga's feeling right now. Not because of his wife's attitude to him, but he condemned her stupidity. Just because it does not accept the position of replacing Sakti to marry Marsha. Especially when the woman is pregnant.

In Arga's mind it never crossed why God gave such a fate to him. What wisdom can he get in his marriage with Marsha. Yet there was a lot of change in him towards the good that had been on the wrong path. However, all of that was covered up by his own stupidity just because of naf*su.

"Can you take care of yourself until I come back to you? With my determination and my love, to ask you to be my wife again?" Arga asked after being able to stop her sobs.

Marsha turned her gaze to Arga. The man who was only a short distance away from him stared fixedly and expectantly. Arga's current gaze was of course different from the time of his arrival with his family to replace Sakti. Marsha's heart trembled again only with the light of a man who had once incised a wound to her feelings.

"I can't promise or promise. I will surrender to God. He is the one who created man in pairs. I don't know the fate of the soul mate I'm going to get. But, I'm sure that women are good for good women. Bad men for bad women" answered Marsha.

Hearing the reply from the idol, Arga smiled faintly. He loved what Marsha said. At least he still has a chance to reach his woman the right way, later.

"Allow me to see Alva as long as I or the child wants to meet, " said Arga expressing her wish.

Marsha just nodded. The woman was unlikely to prevent their meeting. Alva loves Arga, and vice versa.

"Thank you" whispered Arga.

Even though it was midnight Arga decided to go home to his parents. He felt ashamed of Marsha and her family.

Arga and Marsha decide to go to Sakti's grave. They wanted to tell Alva that there was someone else she should call dad.

"Alva, as Mother said earlier, if we are going to see Sakti's father or another Alva's father," Arga said, holding the boy for two years on the road to the public funeral.

"That Sakti's father lives here?" asked Alva while looking at the many well-lined gravestones.

"Yes" answered Arga with teary eyes.

The three people have now arrived at the grave with the name Alvarendra Sakti Wibowo written on his tombstone. They crouched down and prayed for goodness for Sakti in the barzah realm.

A cold wind blew against the three of them. The atmosphere of the cemetery was quiet, only the sound of insect animals was heard.

"Alva, you should know that he's Alva's father. His name is the same as Alva, Alvarendra. It's just that your nicknames are different," explained Arga as she stroked the boy's head with great feelings.

"So, this is Sakti's father? Alva often meets people who have the same face as the father, but it's not the father" said Alva smoothly despite the lisp.

"Where did Alva see a man whose face resembled that of a father?" ask Arga.

"At Dad's house, in the hospital, in grandpa's house, in opa's house, in the dream too. But he doesn't like to play for long. Sakti's father often said, “Alva is a good boy. Take care of Mommy, yes!” that is," said Alva.

Marsha could not hold back her tears anymore. He doesn't know why it happened. As long as she felt lonely and alone, she sometimes remembered Sakti. Even when she was pregnant she would often talk to her baby and say the name Sakti.

When she found out she was pregnant and her world seemed destroyed, Sakti convinced her that her future would be good and beautiful. The man will always make their future with kindness and achieve happiness. So, Marsha also believes that Sakti can be a good husband for him and be a good father for the baby in the womb.

"Sakti's father is also here," pointed Alva towards the front.

"Where?" ask Arga.

"Stand in front of Mommy" replied Alva with a smile.

Arga looked in the direction that Alva pointed at, but there was no one. However, he thought that what Alva saw was the jin qorin of Sakti.

Arga couldn't sleep last night. Somehow even stepped into the Sakti room. He saw that there was a notebook of his sister. The initial page of the writing is prayers and practices that can be practiced every day. However, in the middle to last part is an outpouring of feelings for him.

Fear of the wrath of God because he has committed a great sin. He always felt guilty to Marsha for ruining the crown of an honorable woman.

Arga only found out that Sakti always prayed at night to beg for forgiveness because he had committed adultery. Especially when Marsha gets pregnant. His sister also hoped that the sins he had committed to Marsha befall his descendants. He also always prayed that the child born for his actions would be a righteous child and believe in Allah, because he thought the baby was innocent.

Arga is jealous when she finds out how Sakti feels about Marsha. His sister secretly liked the woman. How happy she was when she got ready for their wedding. She even admitted that Marsha was the only woman she would love for the rest of her life.

"Sister," call Marsha while patting Arga on the shoulder.

The man looked towards the source of the voice. Marsha stood up, and she stood up. They left and Alva waved.

"Sir Arga!"

When they came out of the cemetery there was someone calling Arga's name. The man turned his eyes to the one who called.
