Chapters 20. The Open Heart

"The ambulance is ready, sir!" said Mudi.

"Then let's help me get Andri to the car!" Anton's orders.

Anton and Mudi hurried to lift the man's body. They moved Andri into an ambulance. Yuan got into the ambulance and sat down next to her husband.

Yuan's tears kept melting down his cheeks. His sobs broke because of the many bad thoughts that perched on his head. Andri's condition was fine before.

However, somehow the stubborn and cold husband now looks weak today? Andri should not faint if only hit the table. Yuan believes something is wrong with her husband.

"Mas, what's wrong with you?" asked Yuan in a soft voice between sobs.

Ambulance cars continue to speed through the streets of the city that began to be crowded. Meanwhile, Anton follows the ambulance quickly. In the car, Drini was already sobbing in the arms of Riana who seemed to shed tears.

"Anemia? How could? He's already getting enough nutrition for his body!" exciting Drini.

"Laboratory results state its hemoglobin is only 7 grams per deciliter. In order to recover quickly, he must immediately donate blood" Anton explained.

Yuan who listened to the explanation from the father-in-law immediately approached. He stared questioningly at Anton and Drini in turn.

"What blood type is Mas Andri, sir?" ask Yuan.

"O positive."

"I'd like to donate my blood if possible!" yang Yuan without the slightest hesitation.

After hugging Yuan for a few seconds, Drini released a hug and then summed up the daughter-in-law's face. She smiled gently with teary eyes. Yuan frowned because he did not understand why his mother-in-law was acting this way.

"Why is mom sad?" yuan asked plainly, while rubbing the clear grains that came out of Drini's eyes.

"Mother is not sad, Yuan. Mother was very moved. You are truly an angel sent down by God into our family! How can you keep acting this good while Andri keeps hurting you?" Drini's voice shuddered as she said that series of sentences.

"What is this mom talking about? Yuan was sincere, and this was Yuan's duty as a wife. Yuan has to help Mas Andri in a difficult situation." Yuan smiled gently.

Drini and Anton's hearts were completely touched hearing what Yuan said. They continue to thank God. Getting a son-in-law as good and sincere as Yuan is something that makes both of them feel very lucky.

Another case with Anton and Drini, Riana who from the beginning did not like Yuan stared cynically at his sister-in-law. He folded his arms in front of his chest and kept cursing in his heart. Riana still considers Yuan to be married to her beloved brother for revenge because he has taken Yuan's lover, like the stories in the novels.

Yuan was immediately escorted to a room to be examined before donating his blood. After she was declared to be a donor because of her suitable blood type and sufficient hemoglobin, the nurse immediately attached a tube to Yuan's vein.

Yuan also enjoyed the blood draw process which was done for approximately 45 minutes. After that they wait for blood processing to be transfused to Andri. Yuan continued to accompany Andri who still did not open his eyes.

The clock shows at 10:00 when the nurse brings a blood bag to Andri's ward. The nurses directly drain blood from the bag to Andri's body through an infusion tube. Yuan also observed everything that his former co-workers had brought forward.

"So miss work again" Yuan murmured inwardly with a faint smile.

"Already, Ma'am. Excuse me" said one of the nurses.

"Yes, thank you, huh?" Yuan smiled gently and was replied to a nod by the nurse.

After the two nurses came out of the room, Yuan pulled out his chair. She clasped her husband's fingers and looked at the man who was now lying weak. Yuan's fingers trembled while soaring into the air and was about to land him on Anri's forehead wrapped in gauze and plaster.

"Repair, huh, Mas? I can't see you looking so weak. Where's your arrogant and stubborn attitude?" Yuan smiled bitterly as he remembered her husband's annoying attitude.

Although annoying, Yuan who is used to the bad attitude of the husband actually feels less, if a day just does not see the behavior of Andri who is stubborn and temperament. Yuan's eyes felt heavy. He put his head on his hands as a pillow.

The woman yawned wide until she let out a few tears. Slowly Yuan's eyes began to close. Yuan moved to dreamland in less than a minute.

After a subtle snoring began to sound, Andri opened his eyes. His head was still dizzy, but not as great as before fainting. His gaze was immediately fixed on Yuan's fingers tightly grasping her hands.

"Gapain, anyway, hold-hold!" andri grumbled with a soft voice.

A second later, Andri recalled his last memory before losing consciousness. He still saw a panicked face as well as Yuan's heart-wrenching cry before fainting. Andri's heart suddenly flowered.

Andri only realized that Yuan really really loved him. Slowly Andri lifted the arm fitted with an infusion hose. He gently caressed the top of the wife's head.

"Thank you, Yuan. Sorry for hurting you so many times. I'm really sorry."

After Andri said the sentence Yuan slowly moved. Andri who was panicking finally closed her eyes. He pretended to be asleep.
