Chapter 20's

Soo Jae and Hye Joon are enjoying wine at the mansion lounge bar. Soo Jae has told Hye Joon everything about his accidental meeting with Yeri, but the accidental meeting continues even though the two of them do not know each other.

"So her name is Park Yeri?" hye Joon asked after sipping wine in his glass.

"Yes. I want you to find out about Hyung. And also, that guy. He looked so rude as he pulled Yeri's hand."

"Then, why don't you stop him?"

"I can what? That man is his lover. And also, I didn't recognize him completely. I just remembered her when she was her lover already leading her away by car." Soo Jae explained with a flat face.

"He already has a girlfriend. Then why do you want to find out about him?"

"I just want to know. Are you going to help or not?" ask Soo Jae.

"Alright, I'll find out about him."

They enjoy their drinks back.

Hospitals...

"Doctor, how's my son?" ms. Park asked when the doctor had just walked out of the operating room.

"Yes, doctor, is the operation going well?" suhut Mr. Park with a worried look.

"Are you the guardian of patient Park Yeri?" ask the doctor,

"Yes the doctor, we're his parents" replied Mr. Park.

"The operation went well and we've stopped the bleeding. The rest, we wait until the patient is aware first. The patient will be immediately transferred to the inpatient room."

"Good doctor, thank you." replied Mr. Park.

A few minutes later, the nurses led Yeri out of the operating room with Yeri still unconscious. Yeri will be transferred to a VIP inpatient room at the hospital. Mr. Park wants his daughter to get the best care possible to get her daughter back to health.

The sound of a heart detector filled Yeri's room. Madam Park was unceasingly crying beside Yeri with a warm grip on Yeri's hand. The day had changed the night however, Yeri was still unconscious after undergoing surgery.

"Yeobo, eat first. You haven't eaten at all" said Mr. Park

"I'm not hungry."

"If you don't eat, you'll get sick and make our daughter sad, because when she wakes up she doesn't see her eomma next to her."

Hearing that, Madam Park looked at Mr. Park and immediately nodded slowly according to eating.

The couple had dinner in the waiting room inside Yeri's inpatient room. The two of them only ate their dinner a little because their stomachs felt full because they kept thinking about Yeri, who was still comfortable lying down and closed her eyes on the patient's bed. Till...

Chequek...

"Appa eomma." call Hwan as he enters Yeri's hospital room.

Hwan approached the two parents Yeri with a sad look on his face.

"I'm sorry, I just came" Hwan said guiltily.

"It's okay Hwan. We understand, you must be busy working." said Mr. Park.

Both of Yeri's parents know that Hwan is managing his small business, but in reality Hwan is not working or managing the business. But, Hwan took advantage of Yeri's wealth and made Yeri his financial resources to meet all his needs.

Hwan also pretends not to know about the accident that befell Yeri. This afternoon after the hospital contacted Yeri's parents, he chose to leave the hospital so that he would not be blamed for the accident that befell Yeri.

"Ba.in what condition, Yeri?" hwan asked quietly and still put on a sad face.

"She's not aware yet, you can see her." replied Mr. Park and just nodded slowly Hwan.

Hwan walked to Yeri, who was lying in the patient's bed, and Hwan saw Yeri's pale face and eyes closed tightly with a bandage wrapped in Yeri's head.

"Yeri-a, baby. I'm coming." whispered Hwan right in Yeri's ear, "I hope you forget the memory of what happened earlier. But, don't ever forget me. Because you're only mine and you should always remember me. Lim Hwan your lover." continued Hwan whispered and smiled faintly.

Morning has come, today Soo Jae decided to go to his company. Soo Jae is now in his office, he is already busy with some documents from cooperation contracts between other companies. Up to Hye Joon's presence made him stop his activities and immediately stared expectantly at Hye Joon.

"Look, I hate your gaze so much right now, you just look at me like that to get something out of me" Hye Joon said.

"Hows it? Did you find out about Park Yeri?" ask Soo Jae expectantly.

"Park Yeri, 20-year-old second daughter in the Park family. He attended Seoul University and his girlfriend Lim Hwan, he's just a man who didn't work after I found out."

"That guy's not working? She unemployed?"

"Yes." Hye Joon replied briefly, "And.. I heard from my confidant, that Yeri had an accident yesterday afternoon" he continued.

"What's? The accident? With her boyfriend too?" ask Soo Jae a little surprised.

"No, he's on his own. Reportedly Yeri was a hit-and-run victim."

Soo Jae who heard that frowned. He sensed something from the accident that had befallen Yeri.

"Hyung, do you know where Yeri is being treated?"

Hospitals...

"Yeri-a, why do you still feel at home to sleep, baby? Aren't you tired of sleeping like this, honey? Wake up dear." said Miss Park with teary eyes.

The day had changed but Yeri was still unconscious from yesterday. Both of Yeri's parents, continue to accompany her and hope that Yeri will soon be aware of her deep sleep.

"We just pray, so that our daughter will quickly wake up" said Mr. Park to calm his wife so as not to cry again.

Hwan, who had been sitting on the sofa near Yeri's bed, put on a face that was careless to see the sadness drama of Yeri's parents. He feels sleepy and tired because last night he had to pretend to take care of Yeri and just sleep for a while.

"*If it wasn't for taking your parents' heart, I wouldn't have waited for you like this, Park Yeri." Hwan lamented inwardly.

"I miss A-yeong so much, I should have gotten up this morning hugging A-yeong. But I was trapped in this room. It sucks." Hwan's mind is upset*.

"Hwan-a, you can leave Yeri. Let Appa and eomma take care of him here. You must have a lot of work in your office." said Mr. Park who was sitting next to Hwan.

"No appa, I want to wait for Yeri to wake up." declined Hwan quietly.

"Don't be like that, you're just starting your business, so you can't just put your job on hold. Go home and take care of your work, you can come back later."

"Alright, appa. I say goodbye." said Hwan relented and obeyed Mr. Park's words, "Eomma, Hwan said to go home first. Later Hwan will return." said to Miss Park.

"Yes, be careful." replied Miss Park.

Hwan walked up to Yeri's bed, and held Yeri's hand warmly.

"Yeri-a, I'll be back later and when I get back, please welcome me with your smile" Hwan told Yeri in a sad tone, "Wake up" he continued.

"I say goodbye before eomma." said Hwan and only nod by both parents Yeri.

Hwan stepped out of his legs leaving Yeri's hospital room. He smiled as he walked towards the elevator.

"I finally got out of that room. I'm going to see A-yeong now, I miss her so much." Hwan said full of happy twinkle.

Hwan pulls out his phone and searches for A-yeong's number, sending a message to A-yeong to let him know if he's going to see her.

Taps...

"Isn't she his girlfriend, Park Yeri?" said Soo Jae who had turned his body to look at the back of Hwan who was walking towards the elevator with a view that was still focused on his phone.

After getting information from Hye Joon, Soo Jae decides to go to the hospital where Yeri is being treated. And, as he was walking down the hallway to Yeri's nursery, he passed Hwan who was picking up his phone.

"Why does he look so happy?"
