Maybe Arsen was too eager to surprise his son. The first birthday that will be passed together even though it is too late because there are five celebrations that have been missed.
Honestly, Arsen was too excited when he wanted to celebrate Colvert's birthday. The thing that is very desirable is to make the boy happy, even including realizing the desire to camp on the sidelines of work affairs that are actually very busy.
Arsen was also overconfident that he would be fine so he was less careful and just wanted to get to his tent before the sky darkened. But, it turns out he just slipped on the slippery ground.
The first thing that pops into his smart-ass brain is to save the cake so it doesn't crumble. That's why he bought it far from the forest. It took him a long time to get the cake.
Arsen let his body hit a tree, the head did not escape getting a greeting from the living plant.
“Shitt!” arsen Umpat. He growled annoyed because there was only disaster faced when in a hurry.
The man did not immediately stand up, but sat down for a while to neutralize the dizzy that suddenly attacked after his head hit. It hurt so much, he touched his forehead, then his whole skull to see if there was blood or not. Looks safe. “Maybe after this will bruise,” murmur very sure.
Arsen then immediately opened a very valuable box. In times far from urban like this, cake takes precedence over his life. Indeed the base of the widower thirsty child recognition. But thank goodness he was okay.
A sigh of relief came out from Arsen's lips. “Aman, just broken a little.” There was some cream stuck to the box as it must have shaken a little as it slipped. But, no problem, the writing remains visible.
Arsen slowly stood up straight and tried to move his legs. Safe, still walk. Now he's not running anymore, but walking fast is probably the same as running small.
Bellinda's a little agitated because Arsen's never coming back. It's dark now. Not because he was afraid of being left alone. But, worried about the ex-husband why. It's been an hour since the man left for the car.
“Mom ... why?” asked Colvert who caught the obvious fret in his parents' faces. Maybe too clearly there is something strange to be that small child immediately understand that his mommy is feeling something that is not comfortable.
Colvert approached Bellinda, then sat on the lap that always felt comfortable. He patted his parents on the shoulder for not giving an answer, instead staring in the direction where Arsen had disappeared.
“Ha? Yes, what's up?” Bellinda was flabbergasted and immediately wrapped her hands around the tiny body in her lap.
“Mommy why look there continuously? See ghosts? Or animal?”
Bellinda shook her head as her fingers removed her son's long hair. He had not had time to bring Colvert to do the hair again so that it was neater and shorter. “No, your daddy was a long time ago.”
“Maybe she left us, like she left you first.” Of the thousands of answer choices, the boy instead of making his mommy become calmer was even more agitated.
“Who said? Where might I leave you.”
The voice anticipated by Bellinda was finally heard coming along. The anxiety that had struck the woman's heart immediately disappeared and changed smiles when she saw Arsen's body there, walking up to her with a cake on which there was a lighted candle.
