The journey from Jakarta to Bandung took 4 hours more.Alula and Abhi's father have now reached the house they have left for approximately six years.
Abhi's father visited the house several times, but every time he went into the house, only silence that he could. because all the inhabitants never returned.
Alula was glued, staring at the simple house building in front of her. In this place he and Dwi were born.in this place also he and Dwi were raised. with love and genuine affection from both parents.
But an unexpected turn of events leads them into a bitter life that they will never forget.
Alula was still sculpting, the bad memories she had long tried to forget now felt spinning, as she stood in the same place. the place where he and Marsha saw a black car parked in the yard of the house almost six years ago.
Abhi's father pats Alula on the shoulder, making her realize from the daydream.he leads Alula to enter the house. with heavy steps Alula follows the father who is now walking ahead of her.
The door of the house has been opened, the humid air typical of empty houses is smelled in the smell. Alula circulated her gaze, scrutinizing every corner of the room. All is still the same as before, it's just that the simple house in white looks neater and cleaner than before he left it.
Apparently Abhi's father deliberately told people to take care of and clean the house while it was emptied.
"Dad .." call Alula when she wants to put her bag in the room .
"Yes ?" I looked at Alula who was still standing in the living room.
"Everything hasn't changed ?" he asked astonishment because none of their goods were shifted, increased or lost. Only two of its inhabitants were no longer there.
"Dad does not want to change or damage what your mother has been guarding all this time" said the father with a smile on his tired face.
Alula looked at me with eyes full of haru.so deep is the love that you have for Mom, until you do not want to change anything in their home.
Although all this time Dad thought that Mom had betrayed him, but father is still loyal to his love. Alula smiled haru, it was lucky that I had a man like father.
"Your room is ready, Yuyun Tea has tidied it up" said the father.
Tea Yuyun, the person who had been taking care of and cleaning the house they had left behind. She was a widow with three children, her husband left them somewhere.
Father once asked Teh Yuyun to occupy the house, but Teh Yuyun refused,
"Living home alone is more convenient than living in someone's home, even though it's bigger than we have."
And even that was true for Alula, because when she entered her old room, there was a warm, calm and comfortable feeling that suddenly appeared.
Alula lay down her tired body on the bed. inhaling in the aroma of the room that long time he did not occupy. His eyes stare at the ceiling of his room, the shadow of the brother's face suddenly just flashed.
"Surely by now you already know I'm not home." he muttered almost inaudibly.
"Sorry, I didn't mean it this way." There was a sudden sense of guilt that he felt. because he had never talked about this before to Mirza.
He grabbed the phone from his bag. Since coming out of Mahesa's residence, he had turned off his phone.he knew there would be people calling him to ask his whereabouts. fortunately, my phone is in a damaged condition, so I will not be able to be contacted by anyone.
He turned on his cell phone - Mirza-given cellphone - and sure enough, dozens of incoming calls from Marsha, Mulan, Mama Indri and Ibu Indah. but none of the names he expected to make it into the list of missed calls.
But there was one name that made his heart break, Gweny.
Alula still remembered it, the words that Gweny said when they met were picked up at that time. Gweny invited her to speak together, and took her to one of the restaurants not far from the boutique.
There, they sit together awkwardly, confused, what they should talk about, until finally Gweny open the conversation.
"We're engaged now." Alula who was stirring her drink looked up, she stared fixedly at the face of the woman in front of her.
"I beg you, don't get too close to the Emir." one sentence that made the corner of Alula's heart feel slashed.
"You are not even siblings. so .. I beg you, keep your distance from the Emir! and let us have a relationship without any hindrance." again, Alula's heart ached at the words coming out of Gweny's mouth.
It's like it's not Gweny that he knows, Gweny who always speaks softly, never ceases to smile, friendly, beautiful and graceful.
"Sister Gweny don't worry" Alula said in a choked voice.
"Especially from that house." he added.
Gweny's face seemed surprised to hear the words of the Alula. Perhaps, he did not expect that Alula would do all that.
Alula turned off her phone again after she gave the news that she had reached home.she let out a long sigh, and exhaled slowly.Did Mirza not look for herself? yes, he still expects Mirza to find out about his whereabouts, but Alula immediately brushes off his privates.
Alula sat in front of the bed, she stared at the study table beside the glass window.Memory when she and Dwi were scrambling reading books suddenly flashed through her mind.
"I miss you, Dwi." said Alula, then she smiled bitterly.
Alula walked towards the closet, where she kept all her clothes.
"First, Mother who often clean my clothes" he said slowly.he opened a closet door, and was surprised when he saw the clothes were still neatly stored there. maybe it was Tea Yuyun who tidied up her old clothes.
And he was even more surprised when he saw the Barbie doll that he kept under the clothes hanger. The doll that had broken his hand because he was fighting with Dwi, has now returned intact.
Alula crouched down to pick up the doll, and hugged it tightly, which she had long left in the closet.
"I miss you Pio" he said without letting go of his arms from the doll, the same doll Mirza had kept in her bedroom.
Before long the door of the room opened, followed by the appearance of the father behind the door.
"Dad wants to go out first, want to buy groceries for later tonight." said father.
"Well," I turned back to "Lula's coming, go for a little walk." Alula put the doll back in the closet.
Alula follows her father out of the house, but is stunned to find her father's old motorcycle parked in the yard.
"Dad ?" Alula looked at me in disbelief, because the motorcycle was still able to drive.
"Dad told people to check the machine, it still works." He smiled, then rode his motorcycle.
"Let's go up !" exclaim father, because Alula is still pecking at his place.
"Formerly, you often refuse if father invites bonceng. now Dwi is not there, there is no reason to refuse father." father chuckled then turned on his motorcycle.
They go around the village on an old motorcycle owned by the father.they pass through places that used to be often Alula came to play.especially the guava garden owned by Pa Tatang which used to often steal Marsha jambunya.
Some neighbors who know and remember them seem to greet, especially Bu Eti, the owner of the stall that is not far from his home.
Bu Eti was surprised to see the presence of Alula and the father there, never thought if he would be reunited with Alula, the child who used to buy bread and cakes in her house, he said, to give to Dwi and Mother.
Dad laughed a few times, when he heard Alula tell him about her childhood with Marsha, especially when she and Marsha ran around because they were caught stealing a guava belonging to Pa Tatang.
Alula also tells how she fought the boy who was bothering Dwi. she came forward, playing a good sister. defending the sister until she went into the sewer because the boy pushed her to fall. Dad chuckled again, because when he and Dwi came home, he went home, dad poured it with rain water that I held in front of the house.
Memories that can never be repeated.
Alula is grateful, at least she still has a father.the place is moaning, also a place to share jokes and laughter.
Now he must start planning his future with his father.study more independently, so as not to always depend his life on others.
