Call Me Rain

Call Me Rain
Two Choices

It has been a few days since Mirza went back and forth to the halfway house just to pick up or deliver Shaka and Shaki. Ever since they met and found out that they were twin brothers, they simply did not want to be separated from each other. Sometimes, Shaka stays at Alula's house, or sometimes Shaki stays at Sanjaya's residence.

Not once, but Shaka and Shaki often question why they can't sleep with their parents? why should they live apart, cannot one house. And it made Alula dizzy, confused how to explain it, her two sons were too smart to question anything.

Like this afternoon, Shaka and Shaki who slept with Alula last night, tonight they will sleep in the house of Sanjaya Residence. Mirza will pick them up after she gets home from the office where she works.

Shaki, since this morning, has not stopped asking if the mother will come with them there? Will Alula sleep with them? but Alula always gave an excuse that she should accompany their grandfather here. With a grim face, Shaki finally stopped asking.

The time shows at 16:00 pm, when Mirza set foot in the yard of Alula's house which is still in the Anugerah halfway house area. Mirza's forehead frowned, when she saw a foreign car parked there. Who's at Alula's?

He hurriedly walked towards the door, but his steps came to a halt when he heard the laughter of his two children sounding so carefree and joyful. In fact, it felt like he had never heard Shaka laugh until after that. Mirza was standing in the doorway, and she saw her two children playing with a blue-shirt man sitting behind her.

"Om why did you come here again? Are you the same as Shaki? Don't you love Shaki anymore?" shaki said something to the man.

The man laughed faintly, "Om busy baby, sorry well just got here again." The man's voice sounded familiar to Mirza.

"Om, Shaki's a big brother, Shaki's a big brother. Look, it's similar, right?" Shaki invites Shaka to stand up, revealing their faces and bodies that look so similar.

But when standing, Shaki's gaze was fixed on Mirza who was still standing in the doorway watching them.

"Why are you home?" screeched Shaki with a sparkling face. The man in the blue shirt turned his head, following Shaki's gaze.

Mirza just nodded and smiled, but her smile immediately receded when she saw the blue-tinted man's face.

Yeah, that's Dito, Marsha's half-sister. The man who used to visit her house when Alula was sick. The man who used to pick Alula up when she was in school. Handsome doctor who has been helping the healing process of Abhi's father. The man is also the first to learn about Alula's pregnancy, when she and Marsha accidentally find Alula unconscious after visiting Sanjaya's residence several years ago.

Unfortunately, Dito now looks much more mature and charming, his body is strapping with a sweet smile embedded in his face. Even Dito is more beautiful compared to Yanuar—man who was with Alula at the cafe a few years ago.

"Shaka, Shaki took a bath first sa–yang," Alula's speech came to a halt when she saw Mirza there.

"Date, since when did it come?" asked Alula who looked nervous, feeling bad to see the arrival of Mirza.

"Recently," Mirza replied in a voice that sounded so cold. And it made Alula feel there was something different.

"Bang, how are you?" Dito, the man in blue shirt stretched out his hand intending to shake hands.

Mirza momentarily remained silent, staring at Dito's helping hand, as if hesitant to accept the helping hand. But he did not want to look bad in front of his children, which is why Mirza welcomed Dito's hand.

"Well," the answer was short, solid and there were no back questions afterwards.

There were no other pleasantries after that, they then sat in the chair waiting for Shaka and Shaki with such an awkward atmosphere. Both Mirza and Dito were silent, pretending to be busy with their own affairs.

"Have you taken a shower, son?" mirza asked as she saw Shaka and Shaki approaching her.

"Have dong Pah, we took a long bath huh?" shaka answered while sitting on Mirza's lap.

"I'm sorry, Pah, Shaki is so sultry" Shaki said.

Mirza just smiled, then rubbed Shaki's head. "We're leaving now?" mirza asked her two children, who were nodding back by the two.

"Pamit used to be with your Mama!" mirza exclaimed to her two children.

After Shaka and Shaki say goodbye to Alula and Dito who are also still there, Mirza invites the two to get into the car immediately.

...****************...

The cold night wind did not make Alula get out of her seat. Still vividly remembered, when Mirza with her two children left the house this afternoon. Mirza's gaze was so cold, it was not as usual.

That gaze reminded her of the events of a few years ago, when she accidentally met Yanuar and chose to go with him instead of seeing Mirza.

Did Mirza feel the same way at the time? is Mirza jealous of him now? no. gabe.

Alula shuddered in horror, imagining the glare of Mirza's sharp eyes back then. So scary, but somehow there is a sense of relief if Mirza is really jealous of him. Alula shook her head, removing the strange thoughts from her brain.

Alula grabs a figura at her desk, a photo of herself with Shaka and Shaki while visiting a playground a few days ago. Alula sighed heavily, for some reason her mind felt so complicated.

"Lula's." Alula was startled by the voice of Abhi's father who had just walked into her room.

"Dad?" Alula was slightly stunned in her daydream.

"What are you thinking, son?" ask Abhi's father who seems to know the worries that are now sweeping Alula.

"What's? there's nothing, Dad," elak Alula.

"Dad knows, Daddy's son is now confused, right?"

Wanted to dodge, but it felt like Alula couldn't. He lowered his head and then breathed heavily.

"When are you like this?" abhi's father's question made Alula look up.

"I mean Dad?"

Abhi's father did not answer immediately, he smiled slightly at Alula's nervousness.

"Lula, I know what you're thinking now. Choosing between two options is too much."

"Dad–."

"When do you hide behind fear? isn't Dad's son a brave man? Son Dito and Nak Emir are both good men, and Dad knows they like you especially... Naughty Emir."

"Dad–."

"Shaka and Shaki need Lula's complete parents."

Again Alula bowed, justifying the words of the Father. However, Shaka and Shaki deserve to be happy with a complete family, and intact parents.

"Lula was too scared to start something, Dad," Alula said.

"Slow down, it all takes time. But, I'm sure you can get through it all with anyone."
