The class uphill event has ended, Alula now comes home with her father with a big smile because for the first time she can present something she wanted to give a long time to Dad. a success.
Because all this time Alula who always succumbed, must be satisfied only by bringing the second rank, after Dwi of course, he was determined to fight for anything that made Dad proud of him without giving in to anyone.
Alula got out of the car and was immediately greeted with a stretch of Mama Indri's hand in front of the door. for a moment she was stunned, never expecting if Mama Indri would welcome her arrival like that. Alula glanced at Dad, Dad just nodded then smiled. Alula hugged Mama Indri's body, the feeling of haru now enveloped her.
If Mother was still there, of course Mother would embrace me like this. like yesterday, when I was able to finish my Junior High and managed to get out with a degree as the best graduate.
Mother welcomed me with a cry, because she knew that during those three years I studied with great pressure and faced the bitterness of abandonment.I had no friends or anyone who could encourage me, except for Mother of course.the only person I have. because Dwi has preceded me, and Dad who I do not know his whereabouts.
"Happy baby, congratulations.you're great." Mama Indri said as she let go of her embrace.
Alula smiled before saying "Thank you Ma." he said with eyes that started to heat up.
"Thanks do'a Daddy and Mama, Lula could be like this." she wiped away her tears that somehow suddenly flowed so hard.
He recalled, when before the test began, Mother always drove him to the door, rubbed the top of his head and kissed his forehead while giving a do'a to be facilitated in the face of his test, except for others who welcomed his success.
"Lula ko' nangis?" Mama Indri rubbed Alula's wet cheek with her thumb.
Alula just shook her head and hugged Mama Indri again.
Let..let me be like this first, because I miss Mom's hug so much.
"Oh yeah, I can't cry!" mama Indri exclaimed, with her hands gently rubbing Alula's head.
"Wey.... The champion came!." as always Mirza who suddenly came from behind the door. "Congratulations." he continued, shuffling Alula's hair.
Alula just grimaced shamefully "what the hell brother.."
"Great, can defeat dozens of other students." godanya, to show a hue on Alula's face.
"Lebay is bang." Alula chuckles.
"Well, smile.don't cry grimly, ugly Lu." made Alula sneer, because Mirza just kept teasing him.
Tonight Alula was struggling with her writing instrument, she was sitting near an open window. Since Alula's presence there, Mama Indri made some changes to her pavilion to make it more comfortable to be occupied by Alula.
The night breeze blew Alula's hair down, it was soothing. As her eyes closed, she took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, deepening the calmness she now felt in her life, after three years of living under pressure.
He was still leaning on the back of the chair with his eyes closed and his hands clutched tightly to his late mother's book when he was suddenly startled by his father's call.
"Lula baby, what are you doing ?" dad's voice came from the door. Alula blinked her eyes which were starting to get hot.
"Here's a minute!" exclaim Dad.
Alula got up from the rattan chair she was sitting in, she kept the book that she had earlier closed on the table, then approached her father in the middle room.
"What's up, huh?" alula asked as she exited the door of her room, and then she sat down to face her father.
Dad smiled before saying, "Gift for dad's daughter." Dad put a big box in front of him.
"Well..is this yeah?" Alula was researching the big box that Dad had given her.
"Open it!"
With a carefree heart, Alula ran towards the room.she picked up a small scissors to open the package of her gifts. His eyes widened when she realized what gift the father had given her.
"Father." she looked down with teary eyes, not expecting father to know what he wanted.
Alula hugged me tightly "Thank you dad, thank you so much" she said.
Father nodded while rubbing the top of his head,
"Study seriously yes, I'm sure Lula can!"
"Mother would be proud if someday Lula managed to realize Mom's dream."
"Lula just stay to learn, how to hone Lula's skills. or if necessary, I find a place to make a course?"
But Alula just shook her head "No need for father, Lula will learn by herself."
From childhood, Alula did often pay attention to Mom. when Mom was drawing clothes designs, measuring and making patterns of clothes to be sewn.even until the sewing process was never passed.
Alula learned whatever she saw, and fortunately she had a strong memory, and easy to understand something, so she could easily master the technique of designing clothes using only pencil and paper, as he often saw.
Now, he just has to hone his other skills.measure and make a pattern.and lastly is to master the sewing machine that the father gave him and the correct sewing techniques to produce good clothes. and the most difficult part is to practice it directly, because theory without practice of course there will be no results.
"But, how do you know?" Alula looked at father with curiosity.
"Lula forgot? lula used to say the same to me." Alula scrunched her forehead, trying to remember her words.
"Lula says," my eyes look bright "Lula wants to be like a mother who gives beauty to others through her work."
Ah yes, now he remembers.at that time he was looking at one of his customers who felt satisfied with the seams. without responsibilities he gave a greater payment than the agreed price. 'as a gift for giving what I want. I am very satisfied' he said at the time.
"Dad remember that?"
"Whatever concerns Lula, I must remember.including when Lula was crying until running around because of the twin dolls that Lula wanted to have been bought by people." Dad chuckled amusedly considering the events that had almost eleven years passed.
Her memory goes back in time, when Dad took her out of town to meet her coworkers. When she walked past a sizable doll shop, her eyes caught two barbie dolls on display at the storefront. he pulled out my pants to stop my step.
"What's up, son?" ask Dad at that time.
"Lula wants it well," he pointed to the doll lined with dietalase. "the doll is the same, rich in twins. later love Dwi one well."
"Later dear, father late.we meet father's meeting will be here again yah." with a big heart Alula followed in the footsteps of father.
But when he arrived at the meeting place, suddenly my father received a phone call telling him that his co-worker had canceled his meeting because of something urgent.
Dad took her back to the doll shop to buy the doll he wanted.but unfortunately, the twin dolls that Alula wanted had been bought by someone else a while ago.
Alula who was 5 years old at the time was crying, along with the rain that began to fall.he ran away from the father, he ran away, feeling disappointed because my father would rather see his coworkers first than buy him a doll.
"I'm sorry Lula is Dad." I'm sorry "Lula is so selfish."
"Hey boy, it's been a while. Lula was a kid too." Dad said "still toothless." then they laughed.
I don't know, it feels like a dream to be able to laugh happily like this with dad, even without Mom and Dwi, at least he is not alone.
