Campus Horror

The Part 41

A lot of new names have sprung up on various news platforms, newspapers, and television broadcasts.

Goddess Laksmita.

Now everyone is starting to find out, who exactly is the figure of a middle-aged woman who witnessed the case of the discovery of human skeletons in a higher education institution decades ago.

The name of the higher-ups of the Faculty of Letters who have now gone through the post-period, is also related to the case.

Some concluded that the role of the father-in-law of Dewi who served as dean, had a big hand in covering all things about the death of Asih Prabandari.

There is also a drag on the name Andi Nugraha. An English lecturer, who also covered up his wife's behavior.

All have not been proven, but social sanctions first received Dewi.

Dewi casually decided to shut down all social media access in order to maintain her sanity.

Not so with Anisa. With a bitter and restless heart, he thought of the good fortune of his family's name. As for Dira, she tried to look calm.

“Aduh, Sir! How'this? What should I answer if a neighbor asks?”

“Ya just answer Dewi only a witness.”

“But the faces of the neighbors are like judgmental, sir. Mom so not calm.”

“Loh yes easy, do not leave the house. Just shut up at home.”

Anisa just sneered at her husband.

Their daughters came to visit their parents.

“Kan, what I said, Mom. That's how village ghosts are. I agree-agree first.” Gita, the second child now living out of town follows her husband as a pilot. Gita's father-in-law was the former rector of one of the colleges. The meeting of Gita and Yosi was arranged in such a way by their parents.

“Who agrees too? I'm just entrusting your brother's choice. How to know if it turns out like this will be.”

“Lantas, now how does it go, Bu?” The third child, Nada, also participated in the conversation Mother and Brother.

“What is how? Yeah no way. Just shut up, your father said. We pray that your brother-in-law is not a murderer!” Nada looked worried by her mother's answer. He couldn't imagine if his brother-in-law was really a murderer.

Her mother-in-law who is a member of the House of Representatives for in the area, would definitely scold her. His family would be considered bad for having a member of a murderer.

Nada shuddered in horror. Although her husband is a director at a state-owned bank, but his household is still meddled by his mother-in-law.

Jimmy was silent with a headset attached to his earpiece. He heard repeated conversations with Dewi Laksmita during the examination process some time ago.

There was nothing suspicious about the Goddess's answers.

Jimmy also holds a data file on the victim. Jimmy flipped through a paper containing some information about Asih Prabandari. True what the Goddess said, they were one school first.

Jimmy decided to visit the school of Dewi and Asih first. How to know if you got an important clue.

“Where are you?” Jimmy saw Dj seemed busy going back and forth around the investigator's office.

“Search information about the lecture period of witnesses. Turns out she's an alma mater with me.” Dj stopped his steps.

“You together? I plan to visit a witness school. She's one school with a victim.” Dj raises his eyebrows an interested sign with a notice from Jimmy.

“ Won't refuse to something that smells of mystery.” Dj throws his car keys at Jimmy. “Lo driving yes, use my car only. Your car is too butut!”

Jimmy almost hit Dj's head for the menoyor. Lucky Dj is more nimble than Jimmy's hand gestures.

Jimmy and Dj looked at the school whose fence was slightly open. Just enough for one person to pass through. Seen from outside the post of the Security Unit or what we usually know with the Security Guard.

“Excuse me, Sir. I'm Jimmy from the police,” Jimmy introduced himself by mentioning the City Resort Police office, which we also often call Polresta, to security officers who were seen wearing the name sign Dwi Sudirta. Not to forget Jimmy also showed his identification as a member of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia.

The officer approached nimbly and saluted Jimmy and Dj.

Jimmy also returned a brief salute from the officer named Dwi.

“Is there a need, sir? Can I help you?” Dwi with a well-built body and ranging in age twenty-five years it raises the basic question of a security officer.

“I am conducting an investigation on the discovery of the skeleton of the human body. After investigation, it turns out the victim had attended school here.” Jimmy explains the background of his arrival to Dwi.

Dwi's eyes grew bigger because of the explanation given by Jimmy.

“Really, Sir? Let me take you to the teacher's office. I will first tell you the purpose of your father here. Come with me, Mr.”

Jimmy smiled and nodded his head.

Jimmy and Dj walk through the corridor that leads them to the basketball court up ahead. There is a flagpole on the other side.

They spread their views to all directions. Students are invisible as far as they can see. However, the boisterous sounds of teenagers sounded from a distance. Dj looked at his wrist with a clock stuck there. Eleven o'clock in the afternoon. Naturally, the students of the school were not outside the classroom. They must be carrying out the teaching-learning process in the classroom.

This High School is not very old in appearance. It is seen building with a modern and clean shape.

Shady trees make the school atmosphere cool. The wind blows on the imagination of anyone who expects it to be real. Jimmy and Dj are no exception.

Then there were footsteps approaching towards those who were coolly standing on the sidelines. Spontaneous Jimmy also turned the Dj towards the arrival of the sound.

Some people who are confirmed to be teachers come to them with a huffed and tense face. Who wouldn't be worried about police?

“Good afternoon, gentlemen. I'm Santoso the principal here. I heard you were doing an investigation. Is that right?” The headmaster who looked to be the same age as Jimmy introduced himself and asked without further ado.

“I'm Jimmy, and this is my colleague from the newspaper editor.” Dj nodded his head and smiled towards the teachers.

“True once, Sir. We came to find information about the alumnus of this school. Can we ask for his help to be allowed to see the student data of the 1983 school year?” Jimmy's looking for his chance to move quickly to solve the case.

“Oh can, Sir. Come please come with me.”

The headmaster and several other teachers herded Jimmy and Dj into the school's living room.

“Sorry for the long wait. This is Arif, the computer teacher who is responsible for IT at this school.” The headmaster came with a teacher who looked very young. He had a black laptop bag.

“Good day, Sir.” Arif then occupies a position between the principal and Jimmy, facing Dj.

Arif then takes out a laptop, charger, mouse, mouse pad, and a black box to store data or external memory.

While waiting for the laptop to be used, Arif asked what year was requested. Then he recorded it in a notebook.

With agile fingers Arif pressed the keyboard on the latest laptop output. He opened several documents in external memory that were used to store data about schools.

“May I know his name who you want to find?”

“Asih Prabandari and Dewi Laksmita.”

“Meet, Sir. They are in the same class. Coincidentally Dewi Laksmita is equipped with address data and also his phone number, sir. Do you need it?” Arif's question convincingly made a twinkle in Jimmy's eyes.

“How can Mr Arif have alumnus data decades ago?”

“Some time ago our school held an Akbar Reunion, Sir. Invitations are shared through social media. Almost all alumnus fill in data, especially contact numbers and social media accounts.”

“Can I save that data?” Jimmy asked the principal for permission.

“If this can help, please, sir. Rif, please print the requested class data Mr. Jimmy.”

“Good, Sir. Please wait a moment. I print for a moment. Maybe there's something else to find out?”

“I think enough. Thanks for the help.”

Arif then got up and headed to a room behind a large glass cabinet containing a row of achievement trophies.

“So, which victim do you look for, sir?”

“Asih Prabandari, Pak.” Santoso nodded his head at Jimmy's short answer.

“Oh yes, Mr. Santoso. Are there any teachers teaching since 1983?” Dj tried to find additional information while waiting for Arif to come bring the data prints they needed.

“Most senior teachers are retired, sir. Since the retirement age is now determined sixty years.”

“Is there no data that stores the contact number of one of them?”

“It looks like there is, Sir. Let Arif find it later.”

Along with that, Arif came up with a piece of paper containing data of third-graders, majoring in Language of the 1983-1984 school year.

“Rif, try to help find these gentlemen the phone number of the retired teacher.”

“Father needs to have something to do with both names earlier ‘kan, Sir?” Jimmy and Dj were happy.

“Lucky second class guardian the name of the student was still quite young, sir. This is Ms. Sumarni and this is her phone number and home address. Close to here, sir from here.”

“You often watch detective shows huh?” Jimmy patted Arif on the shoulder.

“Iya, Sir. I love the American series Criminal Minds.”

“Thank you yes, we were very helped by your favorite watching the series.”

“Hopefully quickly revealed yes, Mr.” Arif also added an encouraging line to Jimmy and Dj.

“Thank you.” Jimmy then turned his attention to Santoso.

“Alright, Sir. We beg you to pay. Thank you for your time and help. Sorry if we were troublesome.”

“Please for me to be able to help the police force to immediately dismantle the truth.”

***

Santoso and Arif deliver Jimmy and Dj to the school gates.

“One more time thank you for the help.” Jimmy permits a farewell to leave school.

“Oh yes, Sir. My advice, try to enter social media owned by Dewi Laksmita. It will certainly be easy to browse activities and also friendships. Who knows if one of them can give a description.”

Again, Jimmy patted Arif on the shoulder.

“Thank you so much for the advice. Opened my mind. I go first, yes.”
