Campus Horror
Part 43's
I was stunned to hear the instructions from Anisa's mother. The verbal abuse I received earlier in the car, made me think. Am I really that bad?
My beloved cannot fight for me. My biological parents don't even want me.
Actually, why was I born?
I never tried to cause trouble to anyone, but trouble has always been my constant companion.
People say that problems are a test of maturity. But, how long will I pass the exam? I want to feel like I blame others for the problems and misfortunes I've been through all this time. But I persevered, reorganized myself to be a better person.

Asih decided to skip the lecture today. There is not the slightest enthusiasm to have to focus the mind on learning. There was no intention of greeting her to meet her friends.
After all, classes aren't very effective for doing this week's learning. Because in a few days there will be a race between majors to celebrate the independence day of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia which is forty-one years.
Walking out of the Literature Campus.
He walked in the opposite direction from the dormitory.
Mind empty. So is his gaze. Then he stopped after walking for thirty minutes.
A few hundred meters from where it stands, seen the nameplate of the Faculty of Tourism. I want to move my feet to that place. Immerse yourself among billions of neatly arranged letters into a book.
No. gabe. It won't be anymore.

This spot. The first place that Brother Deni showed me. It's not just the library that's interesting. The expanse of weeds overgrown by tall trees with many-eyed round fruits, as well as some cows tied to a long rope on one of the trees. The cows were free to walk to and fro to choose their own grass.
I kept quiet, waiting for the next instructions. There is a sense of worry, why did Kak Deni invite me to a quiet place like this? Is he going to do something to me?
“Yuk! What do you want to see heaven like?” Brother Deni grabbed my hand slowly. Guided me to walk somewhere.
“Awas, be careful many mines here!” He said again when he saw cow dung everywhere. I can't help but smile because of Kak Deni's face that shows disgust.
Now I'm crossing this mine alone. I stopped my steps under a tall tree. Remembering the question at that moment.
“Sih, you know not this what tree?”
“No, Brother. Wait, looks like it's Silik fruit huh, sister?”
I don't know what's funny, Sis Deni laughed back and forth after I answered her question.
“Why laugh?” I couldn't put on a sullen face because I felt nothing funny.
“Yes, I have not heard the name of Silik fruit for a long time. Indonesian is Srikaya fruit, Darling.” This heart trembled as Brother Deni gently stroked my forehead. Getting rid of the strands of hair that were slowly covering my face.
“Ya if in the village is called Silik. It's ripe, Kak. Can be plucked, yes?” I try to reach the fruit that is most easily reached by my hand.
“Do not!” Sis Deni violently forbade me at that time. I was so shocked to hear the ban, and immediately withdrew my hand.
“Why?”
“This orchard has been filled with spells!”
“Filled what?” I really don't understand what that means. Who used a spell for a fruit tree?
“Iya true. Spells. So that people do not carelessly steal the fruit that will be harvested. Later if you keep taking it without permission from who has, your lips can whine!”
“That's right, Brother?” I really don't believe what he said.
“True. You think this is a joke?” Then Kak Deni tiptoed a little to reach for a fruit that was bigger than I wanted to pick earlier. With ease Kak Deni took off the beautiful fruit from his branch.
“Kak! Don't pluck! Later get magic from the spell how?” I feel like I lost my spirit in my body when I saw the fruit come off just held by Kak Deni.
“I won't get a spell. This garden I have.” I will never forget that ignorant face with the dazzling wink of his eyes for the rest of my life.
Not immediately did I receive the fruit that was thrust at me.
I noticed very well the face of Deni. Will it undergo a change?
Then she watched me wait for the change in her lips.
“Quiet, Sweetheart. This garden is mine, really. I also allow this fruit to be enjoyed by charming women like you. Here, grab!”
With doubt my hand stretched out to grab the fruit.
Slowly I cut off the Srikaya fruit and found the white inside so tempting.
Wanted to cry as the fruit bite landed perfectly in my mouth. Sweet perfect.
“Sweet, right?”
I was only able to nod because my lips were busy sorting the seeds of the fruit of the cherry so as not to be swallowed.
“Waste just anyone, it's okay. It will be a fertilizer kok.”
I obeyed his orders.
“You know not? Srikaya fruit has many benefits. Usually when I have diarrhea, my mother always gives me this fruit. The result is fast and efficient.”
“Iya's right, Brother. If accommodated, these silica seeds can be used to remove head lice, Kak. The seeds are dried equally people are accommodated, then mixed with coconut oil. I became a keblenger and died.”
“Great yes this fruit. Fortunately, it is easy to grow here. No need to water much.”
I continued my footsteps because I remembered when Kak Deni pulled my hand slowly towards the end of the garden.
There was a small gap between the Srikaya tree and the pandan leaves that rose above me. He carefully led me through that small gap.
“Welcome to heaven, Darling.” His happy face seemed to imply God's perfection in creating peace.
I was stunned to see the expanse of sea down there with nothing in the way. Far up here, the sound of waves sounding shahdu. The lips of the beach look small from here.
The beauty is immeasurable when looking at the persistence of the sea that without ever getting tired of peppering the beach.
“Sky feels close huh from here?” It sounds like it's here. It was as if I was with him.
“Asih, I love you so much. You have to trust me.” Throw this hand.
“As with sea water, although he sometimes tides and recedes, but the taste of sea water remains the same. Same with my love, baby. No matter what the situation may be, this feeling will never change. I promise.”
Just like that time, just by remembering it I cried. Feel loved, protected and appreciated.
I was thinking, this is the right time to pass the exam of life's troubles all along.
But apparently, all came back to the beginning. I'm a nobody.
A strong wind blew his shadow. My beloved, my longing, let me sit here alone. Where he made his promise.
I crumpled my stomach slowly and realized that I was not alone here. There's this fetus. Little Deni brother who will accompany me until old age. Just both. Not like what he said at the time.
“When we are old, only memories and stories that we can share while watching children running around in the sand of the beach that sparkles like crystal.”
I'll just share those memories with your son, Deni. I decided to take care of this child alone.

Without feeling the watch given by Deni shows at four in the afternoon.
Hurrying Asih walked away from the place filled with memories.
She was reminded of Anisa's mother's wish to meet her at five o'clock.
Until arriving at the Literature Campus, Asih saw Anisa's car had been parked neatly.
Dentar Asih set foot towards the campus.
Anisa is surprised to find Asih walking slowly from the campus gate.
Anisa was so angry because she felt lied to by Asih.
“Where have you been? You said you came home from work at five in the afternoon. Why did you come from outside?” Anisa stared coldly along with a thunderous cynical voice.
Asih shrinking.
Anisa then realized that she had spoken in a very loud voice.
Anisa quickly pulled Asih's hand towards the new building that was being renovated.
The building workers were astonished to see Anisa and Asih rushing up the stairs leading to the upper floor.
“Listen yes! Again I say, that I, Anisa, would not want you to be my daughter-in-law. It doesn't matter if you're paddling with seeds from Deni. You understand?”
Asih did not know what to react. Should he answer?
“Bu, I understand very well if Mom does not want me to be Mom's daughter-in-law. You think I'm interested in being a daughter-in-law, Mom? I know I am a poor man. But I'm not that weak!” Asih could no longer bear the insults that continued to be hurled by Anisa.
“You dare to fight?”
“Who is fighting? I'm just keeping my self-esteem in order not to keep Mom trampling.”
“Preference yourself? You think you have a price? One more thing, I want you to drop that content!”
“No! I will take care of this child alone. No need for a mother to be responsible. Please don't bother me anymore. Don't disturb my life. Whether it's Mom, Mom's kids, or Mom's husband!”
“What did you say? You mean, my family bothers you?” Anisa's trying to pull the hair.
Nimbly Asih dodged Anisa's attack. Asih ran towards the window that did not contain glass.
Anisa rushed towards Asih and pushed her.
