Can What a Widow Like You?
Chapters. 14 Can you teach me?

"Bu Dinda, please name me Ningrum. I'll accompany Mom here, if need be anything then say it. I'll be happy to serve you". Said Ningrum, the middle-aged woman assigned to look after Dinda while she was in the hospital.

Dinda was astonished, who told her to? Why should anyone accompany him? Ah, it's very complicated maybe his life.

"Who told you to? Actually I don't mind if I have to be here alone". Said Dinda who was still confused.

'Staying here too I'm confused about how to pay her salary. Maybe it's okay to be accompanied, too many nurses'. Mumbled Dinda in the heart.

"Mr Kevin told me to serve you, so don't hesitate if you want anything, I'll serve you later". Ningrum replied kindly.

"Sir Kevin? Why would he bother like this?" Ask.

"I don't know, maybe you can ask him directly if he comes here later". Answer Ningrum.

'Get ready to cut your salary.. It wasn't finished yesterday, it's over again. Astagfirulullah..' He complained while scratching his head that did not feel itchy.

At nightfall, Kevin forced to close his eyes in order to fall asleep. But drowsiness never greeted him, all he now felt was anxiety.

I don't know where that feeling came from, but the more he moved away from Dinda, the more anxiety always haunted him repeatedly.

"Why this? The woman I had given her strict guard and the maid in her room, but why do I always remember her?" His words speak to himself.

"Do I have to go there? But what should I say after I get there? Will he ask why I suddenly see him? Haha.. How irritating". His constant messes spewed out of his mouth.

He never realized anything strange to himself, he always considered it normal between the boss and employees. But the worry that is too excessive always comes indiscriminately anytime and anywhere.

Until the conversation sounded silent, and finally he slept by himself.

The clock shows at 03:00, Dinda is always used to waking up at hours like this. He went down and set foot into the toilet to get whudu.

After that, he performed some rakaat tahajud prayers solemnly. This habit has been since before he married, so he does not need to be awakened by the alarm anymore because he is used to it.

Finished with his tahajud prayer, he raised his hand and several do'a he had said. It then proceeds by reciting the holy verse of the Qur'an.

His melodious voice, made Ningrum who was still sleeping wake up and stunned to hear the chant. To the extent that his eyes were still closed, but his hearing was focused on Dinda's melodious voice.

'If it's like this I can stay at home for a long time to stay with Miss Dinda'. He murmured inwardly, but his eyes were still closed.

Someone from behind the door of Dinda's room could only watch, the sound of Dinda's chanting reciting the holy verse of the Qur'an shook his heart.

"Why hear him read something, my hands tremble like this? What's he reading?" Mumbled Kevin who was still standing in front of the door and did not dare to go inside.

The chant was heard long enough, until now no longer heard by him. He went in, wanting to finish the feeling of his heart that remembered Dinda all night. Until Kevin is willing to wake up so early, to ensure his current state.

After the door opened, Kevin saw Dinda performing dawn prayers. He frowned, looking astonished.

He walked towards Ningrum, who was apparently still asleep, and then woke him up by patting his shoulder.

"Bie.. Hey, wake up.." Kevin.

"Ah.. Yes, Mister. What's up?" Asked Ningrum who was aghast as soon as he woke up, it was Kevin who stood before him.

"Who is that woman? Why would he do that?" Kevin asked who was confused to see Dinda.

"Oh, Miss Dinda is praying, it is the worship of Muslims". Clearly Ningrum while smiling.

Kevin only responded with a nod, he kept looking at Dinda. He felt calm when he saw the prayer, like the heavy burden he was carrying was slowly reduced. Kevin was faithfully waiting for Dinda, until Dinda finished performing her prayers.

"I just got here, how are you?" Ask Kevin.

"Thank God, I'm better. Maybe I'm home today". Answer Dinda.

Silence also hit the room, Kevin's curiosity about what was chanted Dinda. He wanted to ask, but his mouth felt heavy to ask.

Awkward with this state of silence, Dinda continued to read the holy verse of the Qur'an again, without making a sound.

"Miss.." Greet Kevin.

"Yes, Sir!" The answer immediately closes the Qur'an.

"W-what are you reading?" Ask Kevin.

"You mean the Qur'an?" Ask back Dinda who was nodding back by Kevin.

"This is the book of Muslims, which is called the Qur'an. By reading it our hearts will be calm. There are many rewards that we will get, to go to God's paradise". Dinda.

"Can you teach me?" Pinta Kevin's.

As soon as Dinda looked up at Kevin's words, she felt confused. Why would he want Dinda to teach him? While there are many others who are more deserving to teach him, compared to Dinda.

"Why do you want me to teach you about this?" Ask Dinda.

"Honestly, I'm an Islamic. But from childhood, I was not taught as you did earlier. My mom and dad were busy overseas. Are you willing to teach me?" His ink slightly exuded a somewhat sad face.

"Alright, I'll teach you". Dinda answered with a smile.

"Surely you're very prepared for it, I've guessed it. Because I am indeed a handsome man that many women will not refuse my request. Including you". He said by rubbing his hair.

"Stop Mr. Kevin". Said Dinda who turned the ball feeling lazy.

'Oh, he's a bitch. Had to even be the sorrow of the horror'. He murmured in his heart.

"Why is your face so grim like that? Take it easy, for that I will be diligent in learning. I'm a smart guy, don't doubt my abilities". She smiled and felt proud of herself.

'Tell me, O God, of the temptation of this damned man. Astagfirulullah..' Dinda complained in her heart, rubbing her chest.

Sunlight was increasingly radiating cheerfulness, but not for Dimas. After her divorce hearing yesterday, she looked more moody than usual.

"Sia*an girl why did it force my way into my mind? Why is he constantly interfering with my thoughts?" Snarled.

Recalling the trial yesterday, it made him feel even more claustrophobic. Is Dimas sorry he parted ways with Dinda?

The phone's voice rang out, he quickly picked it up. Seen from the screen, it says 'Lidya'. He pushed the green button.

"What's wrong?" Asked Dimas somewhat curiously.

"Darling, are we having breakfast outside? I'm ready, you pick me up?" Lidya.

"Sorry, next time? I had breakfast just now, you had breakfast". Answer Dimas was lazy.

"Why have you changed lately? Does that bother you again, at your meeting yesterday?" Guess by clenching her hands, holding back emotions.

"No, maybe I'm a little tired lately, it's a long time ago. I'll call you back". He said by turning off the phone, without waiting for the first destination with Lidya.

"But.. Dear.. Hallo-o.. Uh-h.. Why are you dead?"

Upset by Dimas' attitude, Lidya slammed her phone into the bed. He was furious and felt curious about Dimas' recent change in attitude.

"If this is indeed his relationship with the woman, I will not hesitate to make calculations against her". Grumpy Lidya.
