Ravella closed her eyes while holding her breath. He felt the motor he was riding turn sharply. Ravella was resigned if today he had to lose his life. His own fault had allowed Alarick to ride his motorcycle.

While counting down, Ravella opened her eyes slowly. He immediately expressed his gratitude when he found out that Alarick had made it through the truck safely.

"Rick, are you crazy? We are almost doomed by your recklessness" cried Ravella from behind.

"Mom don't have to worry, I'm experienced in this" argued Alarick lowered his speed.

Alarick's answer infuriated Ravella. Alarick could be this relaxed when he almost had a heart attack. Either because this man is too innocent or just wants to show off his skills on the road.

Alarick kept on going while staring through the rearview mirror. He smiled with satisfaction as the black car was no longer following him. He'll find out who sent the stalker. Whether he intends to spy on her or Ravella.

About ten minutes later, they had already arrived at the office. Alarick parked the bike and handed the keys to Ravella.

"Mom, thank you for lending me the bike."

"You still owe me an explanation" Ravella said. He walked ahead of Alarick to the elevator.

The atmosphere of the office began to be quiet because some employees had gone home. When he arrived at the marketing room, only two staff members and Mr. Tian were still there.

Seeing the arrival of Ravella and Alarick, Pak Tian immediately called out to them. Ravella was astonished because Mr. Tian was being so friendly to Alarick, as if this man was someone very special.

"Alarick, how was your first day at work?"

Mister Tian turned to look at Ravella with a serious expression.

"Okay, you can go home, rain outside."

Mr. Tian cleared his desk as soon as Ravella and Alarick walked out of the room. Then he said goodbye before leaving the marketing division room.

"Rick, don't go home yet. We need to talk for a second."

"Ready, ma'am," replied Alarick sitting in his chair. He also wondered if Ravella had problems with others until someone followed them. If that was the case, he did not want to get further involved in the affairs of his superiors.

Ravella waited until her study was completely empty. Then he sat down at Alarick's table.

"Rick, would you please explain why you're speeding and doing such a dangerous thing on the highway?"

"Because there's a car that keeps following us, ma'am. The driver was a man in a black jacket and his movements were suspicious. He's been tailing us since the outlet."

Ravella's eyelids widened hearing Alarick's explanation.

"Who is that guy and what's his purpose in following us?"

"Where do I know. I don't know him."

"I'm sorry if I ask you something personal. But this is important because I will often be on duty with Mom. If you have a problem with someone else, I could be affected by it."

"What do you mean?" ravella asked not to understand.

Without further ado, Alarick asked his question. Maybe this will offend Ravella but she has to know the truth.

"Does Mom have enemies, maybe Mom's ex-husband? Or do you owe money to a loan shark and have not paid it off? He couldn't have followed me because I had just arrived in this city" Alarick said confidently.

"Look yeah, I don't have any enemies let alone debt to a leech."

Alarick took a breath because he did not believe Ravella's words.

"Mom, I can understand the condition of a woman who became a single parent. I'll be honest if there's a problem. I promise to keep your secret well. If necessary I will help as much as I can."

"I told you, I don't have a problem. Don't know that you don't know me!"

Angrily, Ravella left Alarick and walked towards the door. He deliberately pulled out the key to scare Alarick.

"Will you lock me in this room?"

"Yes, if you don't go home soon" said Ravella.

Ravella locked the door with a repulsive feeling. This man has no empathy. If Alarick wasn't his subordinate, he would definitely not talk to the man again.
