Chapter 60 Getting Married on the Same Day

"Rick, what did you tell Steven?" ask Ravella worriedly. Alarick fights Steven for defending himself.

"I only gave him advice not to boast of wealth. The treasure could have run out overnight if the One Above had taken it," Alarick said, wearing a helmet.

Ravella gasped at Alarick's thoughtful words. Unexpectedly behind his indifferent, silly, and over-confident attitude, Alarick said he was mature-minded. The longer he knew Alarick, the more Ravella felt there were many other sides of the man he had not known. Sometimes he even felt Alarick's figure was not what it seemed.

"Look again. If you want to admire me, don't be here. We go home first, after which Mother is free to express admiration for me. I won't refuse."

"Isshhh, you really are." Ravella said pinching Alarick's arm. This guy could be joking at the wrong time.

Ravella pretended to glare but actually she smiled inwardly. Being near Alarick can always keep him calm and entertained. This man has given his own color in his lonely and monotonous life. It was time he had to withdraw the slanted assumption that he had been pinning to the men.

Alarick drove Ravella to his front door but did not come in.

"Mom, I'll go straight back to the boarding house. Tomorrow I will take care of some things in Jakarta. Sunday I'll be back and we'll have the wedding."

Ravella looked at Alarick's face. I don't know why he objected to Alarick leaving him. Could it be that he had already started to depend on this man?

"Have you thought again, Rick? You don't regret marrying me to a contract? If you change your mind, I won't force you" asked Ravella feeling guilty.

"I always keep my promises, Mom. Once I make a decision, it's hard for me to pull it back."

Ravella's eyes glazed over. Only once did he get genuine help from someone. But he had nothing to repay.

"Rick, I'm sorry for always bothering you. I shouldn't have involved you in my affairs" Ravella said. He could no longer bear his grief in front of Alarick.

Seeing Ravella crying, Alarick got off his bike. He wiped the woman's tears gently.

"Already, Mom, the bride-to-be should not cry. If your eyes are swollen, it will not look beautiful when photographed," said Alarick smiling.

Ravella was unable to speak. He just nodded weakly while trying to stop his crying.

"I must have come back to pick up Mom. Wait for me at home and don't go anywhere."

Alarick hung up. It's eight o'clock now but Almero hasn't come home yet. He wanted to ask his brother for help.

"I'd better wait an hour or two, and I'll call Almero,"

Almero's car has entered the gate of Belezia Housing, where Aura lives.

"What's your house number?" ask Almero.

"Block C4 number 30" replied Aura.

Holding her palm, Aura continued to pray. She hopes her aunt and father will accept her decision to marry Almero. He realized this impromptu marriage seemed unreasonable. His age and Almero was quite far away. But this was the best way for him to return Marion's favor, by accompanying and guarding Almero.

"This is your house?" tanya Almero pointed at the biggest house in the hoek position.

Aura nodded. He went down first followed by Almero behind him. They were shocked because the Diva and Lord God were already waiting in the doorway.

"Aura, you finally came home too" said Diva immediately hugged her nephew tightly. While the Lord God looked at the man standing beside his daughter. His forehead wrinkled deeply as he watched Almero's face.

"Good night, Mr. Madam, I'm Almero" Almero said.

"Wait, you're Marion's boyfriend, right?" ask Lord God. He was reminded of the terrible events that happened in the hospital.

Spontaneous Diva let go of her embrace and stared at Almero.

"Yes, Brother, he is the man who was clamoring in front of Aura's operating room. What are you here for? Do you intend to harm Aura by taking her away until nightfall?" ask Diva in a high tone.

The aura that heard the conversation was very surprised. He did not expect that there had been an incident during his surgery. The incident involved Almero Adhiyaksa.

"Pa, Auntie, we better get inside. It's not good to talk outside" Aura said.

"Aura, but this guy hates you. Aunty won't let him into our house" cut the Diva.

"Aura, is that true?" ask Lord God to make sure.

"I'm just having dinner with Aura, sir."

"Then why did you say you would be responsible for marrying Aura?" timpal Diva's.

"What do you mean?" ask Diva.

"As I said on the phone, ma'am. I will marry Aura. Therefore I came here to beg the blessing of both of you. If you agree, tomorrow I will come with my parents to propose to Aura."

The Lord God and Diva were stunned at the instant of hearing Almero's words. They did not expect this man to propose to Aura at their first meeting.

The God Lord turned to look at the bowed Aura silently in his chair.

"Aura, did you know that Almero was going to propose to you?"

"Yes, Pa, I know and I've agreed to it" Aura replied nervously.

"I'd like to ask Brother for help in contacting Mr. Rinto, our lawyer. Have him meet me tomorrow at Pensy's cafe at ten."

"Why don't you just meet at home?"

"Because I don't want Daddy and Mommy to know about our meeting."

"What are you going to talk about with Mr. Rinto, Rick?"

"Prenuptial agreement. I'm getting married to my boss Ravella on Sunday" Alarick replied honestly.

"Huh?! Are you serious, Rick? You're gonna marry a contract with a woman?" ask Almero.

"I'm serious, brother. Tomorrow I'll tell you the details when we meet."
