Chapter 8. Know the secret

A motorcycle stopped right in front of Haikal's company building. At Haikal's and Tama's request, Ainisha delivered 20 pizzas to Haikal's company for lunch.

For a while, Ainisha looked around to find Tama's whereabouts. However, Tama was not seen at all. Then how could he enter carrying all these orders alone?

After a long wait, Ainisha brought some pizza packets into the office to meet Tama. Just a few steps away, a voice surprised him.

Ainisha walked slowly and with an anxious heart. In front of the CEO's room, he stopped when he heard a voice he was very familiar with. Resia and Haikal's voices were arguing. Ainisha did not knock on the door and she intended to eavesdrop on their conversation from the outside.

While inside the room, Haikal seemed emotional while talking to Resia.

"Haikal, if you don't stop your relationship with that woman, I will complain about what you did to your parents. And you will suffer the consequences" said Resia threatening Haikal.

"Resia, I didn't expect it at all, if it turns out that you're more cunning than I imagined. From the beginning, our relationship was just an agreement. There is no love between us" Haikal said.

"Just keep it clear. I've been in love with you since first sight. It's very difficult to get close to you. The only way is to approach my parents" Resia said.

"In other words, you're using my parents' kindness to get close to me?"

"really. It's easy to get your parents to like me. And they wish I could be her daughter-in-law. But I didn't expect that you would still not accept me, even with the coercion of your parents" Resia replied.

"Married you. That's what I want. With love or not. I don't care as long as I can have you" said Resia.

"Basic crazy. You're a very scary woman" said Haikal cynically.

"But in your parents' eyes, I was the kindest girl they ever knew. I am the most suitable to be your wife" said Resia with a sly smile. "If you don't accept me as your wife, you won't get any inheritance from them."

"Tell me, what made my parents threaten me like that, because of you?" haikal asked as he stared intently at Resia.

Haikal was getting more upset, because he felt lied to and played by Resia. Haikal felt like a fool who was easily trapped by a cunning woman like Resia. Haikal too considers Resia a weak woman who will not be able to do evil.

"Of course it's true. How would I control you if it wasn't for your parents' help. Now that you know everything, I will no longer cover up this feeling of love. Then you must accept me as your wife or I will make you a vagabond" Resia threatened.
