Chapter 31 - Lucio

James ran with all his might sneaking among the people gathered there. She was really frightened and the only thing that now came to her mind was how she could escape from Rieko who had kidnapped her. The boy was completely unaware that Kenneth had been trying to catch up and kept calling out to him because too many people were blocking the way, and too many voices had been caught by his ears.

“For Ciro, I have to help this kid first.” Lucio reached out his hand towards James, gesturing to him that he wanted to help him wake up. James was initially hesitant to accept his helping hand. But the man seemed to be kind and had absolutely no ill intentions on him. As a result James accepted it and then helped to wake up.

“Where are your parents, son?” ask Lucio as soon as he wakes up.

“A-I don't understand what you're talking about.” James murmured. Hearing that made Lucio understand why James had been silent in confusion.

“You don't speak Italian?” Lucio uses his ability to speak English. This time James understood what he was asking, and the boy just shook his head slowly to answer his question just now. “From your English accent, it looks like you're from the UK. Where are your parents?”

“It turns out you're here?” Not yet had James continue his sentence, suddenly he saw two men of considerable stature approaching them. They looked at James as if they knew him. He was not familiar with the two men, and the thing that immediately came to his mind when he saw them was that they might be one of Rieko's men. Lucio, who noticed James' attitude had turned strange, immediately pulled the boy and protected him. James is now behind Lucio. “You who? Do you know this kid?”

“Lucio, what are you doing? We don't have time for this. We have to go, let's hurry!” Ciro approached and whispered to him.

“I have to make sure this kid is safe, don't you realize that he's acting weird once they come?”

“HEY! DON'T RUN!” shouted the man who was chasing him. Lucio and Ciro instantly realized what was happening. One of them had already run after James while the other was still there. Lucio tries to hold the boy back from going after James. But Lucio and Ciro are made completely unable to dwell when the man suddenly pointed a gun at him until chaos re-occurs.
