Diamond Girl

Diamond Girl
Chapters 1. Beginnings

Alya took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly before knocking on the door in front of her. He had just arrived at the hospital a few minutes ago and was immediately asked to see Lia's doctor in his room.

The hospital attendant who delivered a message to her was looking at her pity, she knew very well how Alya struggle so far.

The woman spent more nights in the hospital looking after her mother, rarely slept and often stayed up all night because she had to continue to accompany her mother who often experienced sudden shortness of breath.

“Your mother should be operated on immediately, Al. It was the only way to save him,” said doctor Lia, when he faced Alya. He had to say this as soon as possible, before anything bad happened to the girl's mother.

Alya flinched, looking at doctor Lia with a tense face. Although he had expected it before, but the words of doctor Lia just now still made him surprised.

Lung disease that had been gnawing on his mother's body was severe, the only way was to do surgery and it took a very large cost.

Alya, who only works as an ordinary employee at a fast food restaurant, must immediately find funds immediately if she does not want to lose her mother's life. But how?

“Good Doc, I'll try to find the cost for Mom's operation. When is about the right time for the operation,” asked Alya gamang with a trembling voice, since earlier he tried to hold back his tears even though the corner of his eyes had dewy.

“Quickly, Al.”

Alya nodded strongly, folding her lips held back the sobs that were about to come out.

“I'll try to help as much as I can, and I hope you stay strong and strong to deal with this problem.” Doctor Lia held Alya's hand, rubbing her slowly.

“Thank you, Doc.”

Alya staggered out of the doctor Lia's room, her face bowed pale. The words of the doctor who had been helping to care for his mother continued to ring in his mind.

This isn't the first time Alya has had to fend for herself to seek fees for her mother's treatment. At the age of almost twenty-three years, he had to work banging day and night to meet the needs of both of them.

Alya lives alone with her mother in a small simple rented house, after her father's only home is sold for her mother's medical expenses.

Luckily, there is Bude Marni, a good-natured next door neighbor, who often helps Alya look after her mother while she works outside the house.

“Where else should I look for fees for mom's operation. All of my treasures have been sold out. This is the only thing left.” Alya touched the necklace around her neck, and slowly let go.

“Yes Allah, give Me more patience and strength in the face of every test from You." Alya tightly grasped her gold necklace, the only precious thing she had during her work.

Alya rubbed her face rough, her tears streaming down. Nothing strengthens him at the moment, he really feels alone. He ignored the look of wonder also pity the people who passed by in the hospital.

Actually it is not a strange sight to be in the hospital, see others crying, roaring in pain, and screaming hysterically because of the loss of a brother.

“Do I have to accept the application of the weathered old man, become his third wife in order to be able to pay the operating costs of the mother?” Alya muttered to herself.

“No!” Alya sat crouching on the floor of the hospital terrace. Whether his life should end like this, whether he should accept the old man's proposal to save the mother's life. God, what do I do?

Recalling how the old man who owned many rented houses in his residence came to her and offered to help, how the man looked at her lustfully. Unknowingly Alya shuddered in horror, imagining the old man's hand touching his skin.

Suddenly from the front came the boisterous sound of ambulances coming, and the nurses and doctors on duty rushed to greet the arriving patients. A patient with a bloodied body was transferred to the top of the gurney, and hospital officials immediately took him to the operating room.

“Patient named Arga Raditya Winata, twenty-eight years old. Having a single accident hit the Dharmawangsa toll road barrier. Bruises on the face and hands, a hard impact on the left eye temple. Broken bone in the left leg. Normal blood pressure, abnormal heart rate, ...”, said health care workers inform the patient's history to the doctor on duty.

“Come contact the family of Arga patient, prepare the operating room. We must perform the patient surgery immediately!”

“Ready, Doctor!”

Alya instantly stood up and retreated a few steps giving way to them. From far away he saw the patient groaning in pain and opening his eyes. His mouth opened as if he wanted to say something, and the eyes blinked at him.

“Please step aside, give us a way!”

As the gurney passed right beside her, Alya was shocked to see the wound near the man's eyes that was spitting out fresh blood. I don't know what happened to the man until he had to experience something like that.

From the data he heard just now, the man had a single accident and was conscious as medics and police helped evacuate him from the crash site.

Unknowingly his hand holding the necklace was raised covering his mouth, and the necklace in his hand was released and accidentally fell on the man's body and hit his neck.

“My necklace!” alya shouted loudly, but the officer carrying the patient's gurney had entered the operating room and the door behind him had closed back quickly.

‘Yes God, how is this. My necklace fell on that man's body.”

Not long after, came two men dressed perlente with a middle-aged woman who still looked beautiful with a classy appearance. They claim to be the parents and older brother of a patient named Arga Raditya Winata.

From her makeup, Alya knew they were not from ordinary people like her. As it flashed in front of him, the fragrance of perfumes smelled from their bodies.

Alya shuffled away and chose to sit on the long bench in front of the operating room. He had to stay there for a while, because his necklace was with the patient in the operating room.

The three men immediately went to the medical staff and asked the news of a patient named Arga, not long after they were all involved in serious discussions.

Alya sat waiting as she occasionally glanced at the watch in her hand, it had been more than two hours she had been there. Until not long after the operating room light was turned off and the doctor who finished the operation came out of there to see the family of the patient who had been waiting for him since.
