(POV Yoshino Akemi)
In the end, I took that promise today. I don't want to wait too long, because I'm sure Erza's fool will never come to her senses. So, I sent a letter to his shoe locker, and asked him to come to the empty classroom f at five o'clock in the afternoon alone.
Just in case, I'll be here at four. I take a lot of breaths, stretch, use the time as long as possible to calm down. In front of Erza, I was always nervous, but I always managed to hide it.
I made sure this room would be empty by five in the afternoon. The students have gone home, and not a single one of my class children is extracurricular today.
I don't want anyone to know the meeting I've planned this afternoon. I will definitely look different later, and the one who sees will probably laugh at me.
"Huh...." I took another breath.
An hour later, five o'clock and five minutes later, Erza arrived. By ourselves. As I asked in the letter.
"You're late, Erza." I got up from my seat.
"Ahaha, sorry Akemi, there was a moment's business."
"Yes, it's okay."
Nervous.
"So what did you call me here? It's so strange to be suddenly called by you. You want to show me love, huh? Ahahaha, where could it be."
His guess is almost right.
"Erza, your Japanese is very fluent. You used to go to school in Japan, huh?" I'm trying to dig up his memory.
"Oh, yeah, I was in elementary school in Osaka. But only one month."
"Did your Japanese language go well?"
"It."
"Why can? You're a real Indonesian, right? Why did you speak Japanese since you were a child?"
Erza smile. "Ah, it's because I was born and grew up in this country. Both of my parents are Indonesian, but they both lived and worked in Japan for five years. We went back to Indonesia just as I was going to SD. At that time, I had trouble speaking Indo, you know. I've come across a stranger, hahaha."
"Oh, so." I'm nodding.
"So, what is Akemi? What do you want to tell me? I'm curious!"
I turned around, turned my back on Erza.
"Erza, do you remember that stupid, quiet girl student you met in Elementary School? Who said his voice would hurt someone else's ears?"
"Eh? For a moment I remember...."
"The girl possessed by the devil."
Erza suddenly fell silent.
I waited for a few seconds, remained silent.
When I looked, his eyes were wide.
"Ja-don't-don't.. That girl is you, Akemi?"
I smile.
"Yes, I'm Yoshino Alkemi."
He slapped his own face, then walked up to me with a look of excitement.
"Gosh, it's you, my God! It's too unreal, sorry, my God!!! Are you really that girl?!"
I laughed at how shocked he was.
"Why did you forget me, Erza? I remember you, you."
"How could I remember! You used to have short hair, and you didn't wear a red scarf. Geez.. gosh...."
I'm laughing a little. "But my name is Yoshino Akemi. I also told you that I'm Osaka. Time can't remember, anyway?"
"I remember the quiet girl, but I forgot her name, and I didn't think that she was you."
I clucked, lapping his shoulders softly while holding a smile.
"Evil, evil, evil! All this time I remember you! Every day, from that day, to this day. I never forgot you for a day. It's so bad you forgot a pretty girl like me!"
"Ahahaha, sorry-sorry, I completely forgot."
I stopped beating him, and turned to look at him.
"Then do you remember our agreement?"
His facial expression did not show that he remembered.
There's no hope.
"Sad." I turned my eyes.
"Sorry, I forgot! Tell me what we promised at that time!"
I looked at him pouting.
"Ja-don't be so dong, Akemi. I'm not feeling good, here. Hurry up and say what's the promise?"
"You sure you're gonna keep our agreement first?"
"If I can, I'll keep it."
"If you can, yes... If not how?" I looked at him seriously.
"Tell me first, don't make me curious, Akemi."
"It's not something serious, really."
"Yes, what? Say it!"
Because Erza looked so curious, I told her.
"I used to tell you, if I got first place in class. You're gonna carry me ten rounds in the field. You remember?"
Erza's face suddenly turned pale. He immediately turned his eyes away.
"I don't remember...."
"Yeah!! You must remember!! Your facial reaction is visible!!"
"No! I can't remember!!"
I then took my SD and Junior High report cards, and showed them to Erza.
"Look, from fifth grade to ninth grade, I'm constantly ranked 1st! I've been ranked 1st five times, which means you have to carry me in the field for 50 rounds!"
Erza's face turned even more pale. "You want to kill me, Akemi?"
"Eh??? You have the honor of holding the smartest student in Subarashii High School, you know. Come on, ten circumnavigations. It's here."
Erza then squatted down on my back, and put her hands behind her.
"Here you go, huh? Not in the field. I'm ashamed."
"Yes, it's okay."
I then pressed my body against Erza's back, and she started to stand up and lift me up.
"Weight."
"Oi!"
"Ahaha, kidding Akemi. You're light, huh."
"Yuu!!! Let's go!!!"
"Yes...."
It feels embarrassing to be spoiled on Erza like this. This should have been done while we were still in elementary school. If it's this big, it feels a little strange.
"One circumference.. forty-nine circumference again!!!"
"Oi! He said ten rounds!"
"It turns out it's good to be carried by you, so fifty rounds, yes."
"Achemy...."
My hard work all this time has finally paid off. I got a special gift from someone I admire. Erza. My hero as a child.
I don't want this moment to end quickly.
"Seventeen...."
"Oi! It should be eighteen! Why seventeen twice?!"
"Seventeen is the date of your country's independence, so it must be twice."
"Akemi. You are really sadistic."
In the thirty-fourth round, someone opened the classroom door.
The one who came in was Lev.
"E-eh... am I interrupting?" Lev was about to come out again when he saw the two of us.
Erza dropped me off.
"Lev, help me! Akemi forced me to carry her fifty circumferences! He wants to kill me!"
"Hee...." Lev turned to look at me, I immediately gave him the symbol of peace.
Erza.
"You too, dong. After carrying Akemi, carry me, yes." Lev patted Erza on the shoulder.
"You want to kill me too?!"
"I'll wait, yeah." Lev then sat down in his chair, picking up the item that seemed to be missing.
I pat Erza on the shoulder.
"Erza, come on. twenty more rounds."
"But-not eighteen?!"
"No, twenty more."
"Yes, yes, let's get on my back!"
"Asik!!!"
There was one more promise we made as children. But I don't want to charge it now.
I had too much fun today.
I'll take one more promise someday.
