Disciple Bizarre!

Disciple Bizarre!
Ch. 8 - That Day

(POV Yoshino Akemi)

Why...they are away from me?

Is it because I'm shy? Is it because I'm stupid? Is it because I like to play latto-latto?

"Yoshino is not clear."

"Fourth grade can't talk."

"Yoshino's voice makes my ears hurt."

I hear that shit every day. No one wants to be friends with me. Everyone keep their distance.

"Yoshino stupid."

"Don't come near Yoshino, your voice will be gone."

"There may be a stupid, ugly, quiet Elementary child, and his voice makes people sick. He must have been punished by the gods for being a bad boy."

Am I really being punished by God, huh?

That morning, my mood was very bad. I always feel lazy to go to school.

But I don't want to be a bad boy. My mom says good kids always come to school.

I wanted to remove the punishment from the Gods, so I had to still leave school even though no one was my friend there.

"Kids, this morning we have a new student coming from Indonesia. He will be in school for a month. Good friends, yeah."

The children immediately make a fuss as Minami-sensei announces a new student is coming. Just this time our class had a transfer student from abroad.

"Waah, new student from Indonesia! Wait, where is Indonesia, anyway?!"

"Bas stupid, Indonesia is Bali's neighbor. I went there with my family!"

"Asik-asik new students, may women!"

Before long, there entered a disheveled-haired boy who looked excited. Some of the boys were instantly moody as his new students were not girls.

"Come on, kid, introduce yourself." Minami-sensei.

The boy stood up straight, and introduced himself in a loud voice.

"MY NAME IS ERZA JUNISAR! FROM INDONESIA! GREETINGS!"

We all closed our ears because the man suddenly shouted loudly.

"Woy, no fuss, huh?!"

"Pelan-pelang says!"

Erza scratched the back of her head with a flushed face. "Sorry, I'm too excited, hahaha."

"Basic, hahaha."

"Haha."

"AHA."

The students in the class suddenly laughed. I also wanted to laugh, but held it in shame.

"Erza, you're sitting next to Yoshino, yeah." Minami-sensei pointed at the empty bench next to me.

"Don't, Erza! Yoshino cursed demon! You'll be cursed too if you sit next to him!"

"Yes, Erza! Just sit next to me!"

"It's still empty, you don't have to sit next to Yoshino."

I immediately lowered my head. I felt ashamed in front of the new student. Maybe they are right, I am cursed by the devil.

"Cursed demon? Cool!"

"Well?!" The students were shocked.

"I'm a demon hero! I will defeat the demon that is in that girl's body!"

"Eh?!!"

Erza then walked towards me with an excited look on her face. He sat down next to her, and extended his hand.

"MY NAME IS ERZA JUNISAR! FROM INDONESIA! GREETINGS!"

I closed my ears in shock.

"Erza don't scream!"

"I'm casting out that demon!" his reply.

"Oh, then go on!"

"Defeat the devil, Erza!"

Erza still extended her hand. I also regretted it.

"I-i... Yoshino Akemi's. From Japan. Sa-salam knows."

Erza looked straight at me. I bow my head in shame.

The students laughed immediately.

"Yo - Yoshino Akemi."

"Not heard."

"Yoshino Akemi!"

"Speak loudly, Alkemi! You must kill the devil in your body!"

"MY NAME IS YOSHINO ALKEMI!!!"

The students laughed immediately. I lowered my gaze once again. I shouted, wrong.

"The sound wasn't that bad."

"Who said Yoshino's voice hurt the ears?"

Erza clucked, making all the disciples stare at her.

"Alkemi has defeated the demons in her body. She is now a normal girl!" Erza smiled as she pointed at my face.

That day changed the dark course of my life. A problem that I couldn't solve for three years, Erza managed to solve in just one minute.

After that incident, I started to get along with my classmates. They started to want to approach me, because by my side there was always Erza.

Erza said she was attracted to me because I was possessed by a demon. He wanted to be on standby if one day another demon entered my body. He also said he likes my cool name, even though he's actually saying it wrong.

My confidence has grown since Erza's arrival. I began to speak smoothly, my lesson values increased. The students in the class were shocked when I got a hundred in math.

However, that happy moment only lasted for a while. Saturday morning at the end of autumn, Erza said goodbye to all of us. A month had passed without feeling.

"Erza, don't leave us!"

"You haven't been to my house!"

"Our duel yesterday is still unfinished!"

Without us knowing it, Erza has become an important figure in our class. The students cried when the Indonesian boy was about to say goodbye.

"Hey, don't cry, it's hard to go home." Erza shed tears.

"Don't go, Erza! You stay here!"

"Let your parents go home, you don't!"

"You can stay in my house!"

Erza wiped away her tears.

"I have to go home guys, I can't stay here too long."

"Why?"

"I miss my mom and my chicken! I want to meet them!"

"You got a pet?"

"Yes, if you don't get home soon, I said I'd fry it."

The students smiled.

"Then, Erza, but you have to promise to come here again!"

"Bring your pet chicken, I want to see!"

The sad atmosphere turned into a happy atmosphere. The students began to be able to let go.

Except me.

I still want to spend time with him.

"I'm sending you a message." Erza looked at all the students.

"What is Erza?"

"Please take care of Alkemi. Don't let him be possessed by the devil again! Do you know why someone can be possessed by a demon? It was because he was left alone, so the demons came to accompany him! That's my last wish, I'll leave his safety to you!"

The mood is back. I wanted to cry right then and there. But I held back as much as I could to make me look strong in Erza's eyes.

"Well, we'll take care of Akemi, Erza!"

"We won't leave anyone alone anymore!"

"We are the exterminators of the devil!"

After that, Erza left and never returned.

Our biggest mistake was never asking for his phone number, so it was difficult for us to get in touch with him again.

The one month I spent with Erza was more meaningful than the three and a half years of school I had spent. The dark clouds that had been enveloping my heart slowly began to turn into a clear sky.

Until now, when I had already stepped on tenth grade, when I had already met him again, I still clearly remembered that memory.

Erza may have forgotten. When he looked at my face, his reaction was mediocre.

I find it hard to keep his promise.
