Dusk For Nathan 2

Dusk For Nathan 2
12

" Pope.." Exclaimed Gio cheerfully ran over to Nathan who was waiting for him.

In unison, the mothers turned to Nathan. Nathan still doesn't seem to care about them. He greeted Gio and held him and handed Gio to me. Then he came back to them.

" Light is my ex-wife. Gio is my son. He is not a child who is not clear who his father is. He's my son. Don't ever shake anyone else behind him. If you don't like. Say it in front of him." Nathan said firmly but very calmly. " Did my ex-wife do anything?" Ask again with sharp eyes.

None of the mothers answered in a voice. They just shake their heads. "Don't say anything if you don't know exactly what the case is." Cetus Nathan again and immediately left them and walked over to us.

" Let me take you." Nathan offered.

I just nodded obediently. We walked to Nathan's parked car. I glanced at those mothers who were nudging each other. It seems they are ashamed of having disfigured me. Especially the fat mom in red. What wrong. I only knew them in school. Never once did I bother them.

" Thank you." I said when we were in the car.

" Why silence is already known to be gossip." Ketus Nathan seems like he's more unaccepting.

" I don't want to provoke a fuss." Reply reasoned. If I were to suddenly interrupt their conversation and deny all of it could be another story. It could be that the mother of red clothes will insist on justifying all her words. So as much as possible I'd better endure the heartache.

" Why are you here?" I was a little surprised by the sudden appearance of Nathan.

" I have a meeting in town. On the way, I saw you with a sad face. So I quietly searched and listened to their conversation."

" Why do I help?"

" I don't like people who spread slander. So don't get me wrong." Nathan replied as if he wanted to keep his distance from me.

I just shut up and nodded. Gio was still comfortable on Nathan's lap.

Nathan was watching my big dress shop. He looked at the shop.

" This is your effort?" He asked while pointing at my shop.

" yes. The result of the division of the inheritance with brother Gilang." My answer. There is a great sadness when it comes to inheritance. Not the treasure I want. If it can be changed, I want my parents to come back to life.

" Heirs?" He asked with a frown. I nodded slowly. " Your parents?" Nathan asked at last who was curious.

" They died in an accident. After that incident Gilang broke off his brotherhood with me because I had a child out of wedlock." I said while holding tightness in the chest. The events of a few months ago are still clearly recorded in my memory.

When my parents' burial ground was still wet. Gilang has talked about inheritance. As a sister and daughter, what can I do. I just kept quiet and obeyed his wish, Brother Gilang. We sold all the assets of my parents. And divide it according to the applicable religious law.

Gilang gets twice as much as me. It's not about me. What makes me sad is the words. Very piercing my heart.

I force myself to be strong and survive in any situation. In my time of trouble I met Reza. He was the one who helped me build this business. Starting from looking for me this shophouse and also a house that I can buy so I have a place to stay.

To be honest, feeling bad I kept rejecting Reza's love because on the other hand I felt indebted to her. If there's no help somehow I'm now.

" I'm so sorry, Dusk." Nathan said as he wiped my tears. " Thankfully, you have Reza. The man in charge." Nathan said again.

I just smiled faintly in response about Reza. I have nothing to do with him. But I don't think I'm willing to change his words. Let it. Maybe our destiny will never go hand in hand.

I was still stuck staring at where the car was carrying it until it was completely lost in my eye. It's hard to let go of the one I love back. We can be together now if we want. But either he or I. There is no desire to force things to be together.

His attitude is very clear now that he shows. He doesn't want to bother me anymore. It really stuck me in his heart. Why is there still a feeling of unwillingness if he really forgets me. Nathan. Now you're back with a million of our memories.

*****

I stared at the raindrops that were soaking in the grass in my yard. The drizzling rain is still pouring down the grass. The air becomes cooler because since yesterday afternoon the city is in the rain.

Drrrttt ddrrrttt .

I flinched when my phone suddenly shook. Unknown number.

" So." My broom.

" Stay away from Nathan!" The sound of an angry woman sounding so unceremoniously snapping at me made me keep a little of my phone out of my ear.

" I'm sorry, who are you?" I ask you still trying to calm down even though I actually feel annoyed.

" I'm his future wife." He emphasizes his speech intonation. The next instant he immediately hung up his phone unilaterally made me cluck in annoyance.

' Wife candidate' Gumamku curious.

There was a strange feeling rustling through my heart hearing Nathan have a future wife. Is it true that I still love him. Or just a feeling.

" Hey." Reza suddenly surprised me. My reverie left me unaware of Reza's arrival.

" What daydream?" Ask curiously.

" No." I denied it and walked into my house.

" No, but I didn't realize I was coming." His ejek half yelled because if I hadn't allowed in. Reza won't come into my house. He was sitting on the rattan chair on the porch of my house where I was sitting.

" Now, drink it." I said a little tart while serving a glass of his favorite milk coffee.

" Thank you, future wife." Say it again with a seductive smile.

I snorted in response to his words. " Hopefully dong." He said again with his funny face.

" Keep going."

" I'll keep waiting for you, Dusk." Reza said this time with his serious face. " Hmm Saturday there's no show?"

" There is no power. Why?" I answered for a moment thinking and it seemed like I did not have an appointment with anyone.

" My parents want to see you. Do you want to?" Reza asked with a hopeful look.

" Meet me?" I'm ascertaining. Reza nodded. " For what?" Yeah, why did I meet Reza's parents. While I haven't decided anything myself. I'm still not completely sure of accepting Reza in my life.
